I may be the first person to get first comment and read the report ever. I liked it. A few things i noticed in the graphics. There were a few times that I noticed the outlines on things did not quite totally match the location of the picture. I also noticed, on the early pic telling everyones starting location, the border on the minimap was on top of the lines pointing to bases. It was a very proffesionally made report, reminded me of some blizzard ladder playoffs report. One thing is that it was a little dry. I would hesitate to say it was like a history book, but in a way it was. No humor or things to spice up the writing.
All in all, an impressove report, if I were a rater, I would say 8.5

Wow, in the time I typed that nobody got first comment, cool. I forgot to mention, some of the pics were a little bit too wide, and I had to do a little bit of horizontal scrolling. That is always irritating. I try and keep my pics at 500 pixels. That way you avoid that. So now that I think abput that... I would give it an 8. GOod report!

| I can always easily put on humor, but nowadays I try to keep my work more on the professional side. I am still teaching myself to make better battle reports, as I still am relatively new to it. Sorry there was no humor to spice up my writing, but professionality and humor doesn't make a good mix. This battle report is more for the people who read them to learn and try new things, or they could just read it to visualize their own battlefield in their heads. But the main thing is always that people read and enjoy it :) |

| They are all a perfect fit for my resolution (1024x768). Sorry if they get too big for your screen resolution, I just choose whatever fits mine. |

I just went and read your last BR, and this one really is a huge improvement. The pics are prettier and more detailed, big plus. THe whole thing can be read without clicking on links, major plus, and you rely more on text to tell the story, major major plus. Good improvement man. And please don't take what I say as an insult. You remind me of shockwave, he was always the master of making his reports really proffesional and really educational. Keep it up man, I really like your reports.

Ok then, please remember that the vast majority of people operate on 800X600. Just like in web design, it is important that you go with what the most people have, not what you have.

nice report, but . . .
The game was a total smackdown. There was absolutely no suspense here. Nothing really happened but ownage by purple and brown =(
The writing was also pretty dry. No humour, even when the probes attacked. ;(
The player names were not colored, made it hard to follow ;o
The early map had lines going all over the place on it, kinda ugly ;-<
The start was <i> very </i> abrupt. I saw these guys and we entered the game and brown got 5 zeals and attacked. ;-o
Finally, the pics, although ok, were kinda taken of useless images. Chokepoints where nothing is happening, for instance. You should describe that stuff verbally; if you have to put up pics of these things to make the br look better, it means the game doesn't deserve your good br skills. ;*<
I don't wanna be mean or anything, perhaps I'm not even the one to give the advice, but I feel that criticism, although nasty, definately helps you make a much better report next time. And that, I hope, with your good skills, is what you want to do.
Overall, nice work, coulda been better!

Wow Dag, you're tougher than me, not every report has to have 10 paragraphs about how the players met in the chat room, trash talked, one dropped so they had to restart, etc... :-)
Death, the report wasn't too bad. The pics were a little grainy, but you had some well chosen screenshots in there. I liked the shots of the tank pushes. Maybe there were a couple of unecessary shots but I'm at work so they didn't effect my d/l time here... :-) The minimaps in the pics were a great help too.
The only gripe I have (and it may sound trite) is that when trying to follow the action in a 2v2, I've found that it's always easier if the names are color coded. In a 1v1, this isn't as important, but in a 2v2 where I don't know the players well, I can say its the blue guy and the brown guy on one team... etc. That's just a suggestion though.
Anyway, you are definitely improving, keep 'em coming... :-)

| Thanks for all the feedback guys. I will try to make my next report putting in everything you guys requested, because you guys know what makes a better report, not me. These things do take pretty long to make but I'll try to make another one soon. Also school starts again soon, spring break just ended ;( |

| My lifetime rating should be 14...I got a 7 for my last report. Oh well, doesn't really matter...I just do it for the readers' enjoyment. :) |

Lifetime rating is the average, not the sum. I have done a 7.3 and a 7.25, and my lifetime rating is between those.
