Good report, overall.
But I ought to note that I'm on a T1 here and this took FOREVER. If you're going to use anims, at least cut down the dimensions. There was really not call for three or four anims > 1 meg, and one that was over 3 megs. That's jsut overdoing it.
My advice would be to pick out what's important and what looks good, then concentrate on those few images instead of putting in three billion images and anims. It'll look better and cleaner, and people will appreciate the reduced DL time.

I had to post a comment from Ins, so I'll might as well comment on the pictures, because the writing style was verygood. First, it took forever to load, and I mean forever! Get a different server :-)
Also, as sharandar said, 1 animated gif + maybe a minimap gif is more then enough.
Worth an 8.5

Great report! 350 screen shots (Or was it 250? heh) is a LOT to wade through but you did a good job of picking ones to illustrate the game nicely. Your writing was very good, too; the details were great. "So-and-so has more expansions, but the other guy has more mineral patches..." That kind of detail is awesome.
My only complaint is that it took way to long to load. :( But if that's the only bad thing I can say about your report... :D

Wow, this was a really nice report =) The level of detail is great, and the images you chose to use were interesting and generally relevant.
I will agree with the others, however, that those ani-gifs have to be smaller! 8) Nothing should take that long to D/L...

As I commented on Page 1, complaints on my very first BR, whose pictures were saved on medium-low compression, were that the images were too blurry. So I saved these pictures midway between the extreme choices of compression available in photoshop. That's for JPEGs. For GIFs, I didn't optimize them all, but I believe I did for most of them. I didn't realize the animations were so big, but there aren't a whole lot of them. I apologize that it takes so long to load; I tried to write this br so that even without pictures, it's easy to understand where everything's going on.
As for the too many pictures thing, I sorta agree with you, but I wanted my br to be like a children's storybook, with illustrations accompanying every page or idea. That way you can always look at the minimap if you're confused about where events are occurring, and look at the actual scenes so everything's more clear. Plus there was the fact that on my last text-only br, the only complaint really was the lack of pictures, so I wanted to silence those people =]

| Oh yeah, turn up the contrast on some of your pics to prevent the wash out. It only happened for 1 or 2, but it was there. |

Cynical, on most of the pics I increased the brightness by 15 and the contrast by 10. For some reason every screenshot I take looks dark. I might have missed a few though... thanks.

| Good job on the report man! Use a faster server for the pics...It was taking a long time on dual t1's :) I had to reload several of the images manually, hehe. Good report though, I enjoyed it the whole through...too bad you lost those shots from the beginning of the game. |

This is a good report.
Heh, I didn't realize there were animated pics at all, though.
Long, well detailed. I liked it.
But... pics were insane. I went back and looked and your animated gifs were huge. The one big one you have probably eats up 90% of the download time.
And also, you don't really need that many pics to start with. I did enjoy them though.

really, this was nice. and I think it deserved better than just 8, as it had everything a br _must_ have. decent players, easy to follow, some humour, lots of pictures. you lacked some of the great stuff which give 10s tho, but I say 8,5 - 9
