The way you wrote that BR, it was very narrative... He does this now, and then he does this. The biggest problem was probably lack of detail. He attacks with dragoons and it fails. Then he attacks with reavers and it fails.
When you first mentioned BCs, i thought you meant a couple of them, not 12 or more of them! You should have mentioned when he started making them, and what the players were doing except "he dropped some reavers. The reavers were destroyed"
If you had a better game and worked on your style, it would be a lot better. As katome said, it seemed to be some bgh people playing on temple... |

You missed too much important stuff. If you have a replay, say what the hell each of you are doing the entire time, not just "He sent this, got raped", "He sent more of this and got raped", "I made BCs and killed him". That is annoying. Too many pics for your text, IMO. And what the hell happened to your BCs hitting his first base?

nothing is wrong with 1st person brs, regardless of what anyone says, just look at one of drefsabs newbie bashing reports, or one i did here:
that was pretty well received.
The pictures were humoungous, .jpg is meant to compress them man, there were pictures more than 500kb for some goofy little thing.
And for all that bandwith, the pics werent great. You finally discovered the 'borders' function at the end, something long overdue. Make them informative, put in mini-maps, but most importantly make them pretty man!!! I'm not talking YRM-esque, just crop a good section, stick a nice, neat border on it and compress it, good as you'll ever need

Ok, you had 12 or so BCs go and attack his base, then suddenly you're only attacking with 3 BCs?
Oh yes, turtling up then winning with BCs does not = a good game. I personally don't care about how you play, or whether you're a good player or anything. The fact of the matter is, I suck incredibly. I only care about whether the people you BR are at least non-newbies.
So, I don't respect you all too much, not because you played like a BGHer, but because you chose that game to do a report on.

Your writing, on the other hand, need improvement, although it is a step above Eradicate~Me (is that saying much?). When did you expand? U went from a DT rush to holding off a thousand dragoons with battlecruisers. Whereas Erad's writing focused too much on the detail (Actual quote: "This generally consisted of a Supply Depot on 9, Barracks on 11, and another Depot on 16, otherwise known as the Terran wallin.") you dont talk enough about them. Theres a fine line you have to hit, and this hit the floor 50 feet from it.
Finally, don't report a game where you turtle and go own with 18 battlecruisers. Please.

Koh is good? I've seen two replays - one he irradiated a wraith to try and kill it, and here all he did was turtle and mass BC's - and even then should have lost if the moron that was playing him had half enough sense to start expansion denial.
This guy sucks great big sweaty donkey balls. I haven't played in 6 months, and before that I wasn't that good to begin with, and I could beat him - especially if he tries irradiating my reavers. |

Regardless of who wrote it, judging by that replay, you could indeed not "waste most people here."
Good graphics in the report. But it was a very sloppy game. There's TOO many ways to beat down "mass" BC's with toss. Or to nail the player before they get them. Your friend was just worse than you. I've never seen a more horrifically goofy sacrifice of DA's in my career in Starcraft.
Think about it. Even if he would have let you turtle till your BC fleet got out... imagine if he'd have:
a. MC'd your fleet
b. Stormed the fleet
c. had more sairs vs. the cruisers
d. had scouts
e. stasised half your "fleet" with arbiters and munched on the rest
His strategy of mass goons (which is likely the only one he knows, being a BGH'er) was a dismal failure vs. Tanks and BC's. That's basically all there is to it. If he'd have changed his strategy even ONCE in the entire game he would have probably beaten you. |
