I enjoyed it. The writing was iffy at times and I was kind of dissapointed that there wasn't too much about David's game other than his army, but since you were on a 56k and couldn't do a replay, it was pretty good. The one thing I would point out is that throughout the "First Blood" , "First Assault" , and "The Middle" , there was not enough paragraphing. It started to bother me after a while, probably because I lost my place in the middle section and had to start over. If you could make the paragraphs about the size of the introduction, this would make your future reports mch more enjoyable.

| Maybe you're taking a page out of my book by pasting pictures of people at the end of your report. Then again, I focus on scantily clad women, whereas you include pictures of disgruntled males that need a shave. Now some people, like Ling, might find this appropriate, but I for one feel cheated and so does my pee-pee. |

It's 1:30, and my head is killing me - so I'll wait with a rating until tomorrow.
First of all, I don't see the difference between you uploading here, and to Geocities - as far as I can remember it's almost the same uploading process. And if your report gets enough visitors from here, geocitites will shut it down because bandwidth was exceeded (obviously not a problem unless you have pictures).
Also, I don't see the logic in you not being able to have a replay because of your modem? Replay filesize is like 100kb :o And the uploading of pictures? I dunno, but I managed for my first 15 reports or so, just be sure to save in JPG format.
One last rant before I sleep: Red text? Christ.

Why you would make a battlereport on geocities is beyond me. I guess you like shitty hosting? Whatever you meant about "pausing" when putting in HTML sounds dumb, as well. Write the report offline, upload it to BR.com, then use a fileread link to the report in the submission box.
2 other things: Your other name sounded far better (sadly) then this new one, and what the fuck is up with your code that forces the rating/author/ip part to the bottom?
I honestly didn't even read it. I scrolled down for maybe half a second and the report was already over, only to be bombarded by a large pic of yourself that takes up a 1/3 of the report which adds nothing to the report but annoyance from the audience. My guess is Zerg~Ling will cover the rest later on. |

Uhh, 3 things.
1. As I said before, if you aren't at a level to play a really decent game that we would want to read, don't report your own games please.
2. Incredibley boring writing. Show, don't tell. Exp: I made a hive. Then i made a ultra cavern. Then i made an expo. Then i attacked him.
3. Details? Analysis? Wow, i could've just watched the replay and learned a hella lot more than from reading this.

Like Proxy said, unless you can provide a good game, don't report your own. Find replays of good players, and report those.
Second, images! The report center is free and works perfectly. Don't neglect it; it loves you.
Third, as has been mentioned, paragraphs.
Fourth, red on black? What's the point? WHITE looks much better. It's hex code, by the way, is #FFFFFF.

Good comments all around, take the criticism seriously. About having an interesting game; in general, either it's a funny game (and you're able to convey some fun through your writing), or it's interesting from a strategic/tactic point of view. Check out Napoleic's reports for excellent examples of this.

Yeah, it's all been said. HTML is extremely easy and there are several tutorials on this site if you don't know it. Geocities is bad, very bad karma. I'd recommend the file center supplied here, it's ueber fantastic!

| Many of the other raters on this site have been here for so long that they simply left or retired- I imagine that rating reports for 5+ years can be a little tiring. Ling still rates because he's the newest inducted rater, so the boredom has not yet caught up. God help us when it does -.- |

The middle section bad, flavor text crappy and you give away the end when you talk about his island exp. Be non-committal.
Generally talk more about why and use long-winded detail.
Don't worry about finding a game between Xds'Grrrr and God, the skill level was fine, it's more interesting when members of the community come up in reports anyway.
Picture fine, flame expected. Don't say sexy or Bobo will get you.
Red text fine, easy reading only important thing.
