After several failures to annoy the residents of nohunters land,i found myself in a game hosted by psionic_jedi_,(who will henceforth be called psionic).The map chosen was the popular conversion of lost temple,dark temple,and the opponent to show up was praetor_deth(who will be called praetor).
Both players chose to random their selection,and after a few gl's from both sides the game started.The beggining of the battle found psionic_jedi_ in command of a protoss colony dressed in red,at the top spot,while praetor_deth was in command of a blue terran base at the mid left lot.
The build orders:
Psionic picked the first probe to come out of his nexus and send him to scout the map clockwise,finding praetor in the last place he looked,at 9 o'clock.After that,he warped his first pylon at 8 and his gateway at 9.A second gateway and pylon followed soon,along with a cybernetic core.
The terran commander followed a heavy metal build order and started a depot
with his 9th scv and a barack at 10.After that a refinery,a factory and a second supply depot were placed.Praetor scouted for the first time with marines.That didnt help him much,since the marine was shred to pieces by 2 zealots blocking the entrance to psionic's base.After that,praetor starts a second factory and a bunker next to his refinery.
Praetor from the beggining of the game showed that his was planning to contain his opponent.The first vechicles to come out of his factories where 2 vultures that he sent to spread some mines outside psionic's ramp.
At the same time though,psionic was sending 2 dragoons and 4 zealots towards praetor's base.For psionic's bad luck the mines were already placed and with 2 zealots dead he had to abort his atack and was forced to get a robotics facility and an oservatory to deal with the mines.
Praetor though had other plans,and he would not abort plans for containment so easy.After an enginering bay was in his base,and with his new force of 4 tanks,9 marines,2 vultures and 2 scv's moved again into terran territories.He was not in luck.A sneaky observer was watching the whole thing and warned psionic of praetor's plans.7 dragoons and 4 zealots were sent to clear the threat of containment/push.Praetor managed to hold off with 2 tanks,4 marines and 2 vultures surviving.
At this time psi has been busy,a support bay has been set up into his base and a reaver was sent down his ramp.Unfortunately the reaver died to tank fire before doing any serius damage to praetor's fortifications.
Praetor hasnt been idle himslef,and expanded the 6 o'clock empty lot.
This was too much for psionic,and after saying that all around fitting quote "i'm screwed" he proceeded to send 10 zealots and 4 dragoons down his ramp in a desperate attempt to free himself from the containment.4 tanks,2 vultures and 2 marines where lost defending.When the dust was sweeped away all the protoss atack forces where dead and only 4 terran marines where left inside the last standing bunker whitch was soon overunned by 6 freshly trained dragoons and zealots.
At the time of this brave fight a few things have changed into each player's base.At the protoss main 2 more gateways were warped,bringing their total amount to 4 while praetor has built the com sat addon for his expansion before any workers,and a science facility and a starport at his main.At the same time,praetor had an extra factory,a science facility and a starport.
At this time,psionic choses to expand to his natural,and sends a shutle at the 6 o'clock base,there he finds praetor's defensless expansion.He takes the shutlle back and sends 3 speed upgraded zealots to kill the expasion.They manage to kill all the workers and damage the cc before praetor lift it off.At this time,praetor has a new barack and an armory,and is training goliaths.With 5 goliaths,8 tanks,4 vultures a few marines and 2 science vesseles he moves again,while at the same time finds psionic's expansion at 3 o'clock.When he reaches the midle of the map,he splits his army and sends 4 tanks and a goliath to get rid of the expansion.He was unlucky there.A few seconds later psionic atacks himself.About 24 dragoons and zealots make short work of the divided terran army that was holding the midlle map and then moved to the 3 o'clock expansion.There,4 tanks and 4 goliaths,after getting rid of the 2 cannons where pounding an the nexus.The protoss forces arrived at the scene seconds after the nexus was blown to pieces.There,emp did it's job and the tanks and goliaths hold their spot and killed the protoss forces.Of all this,praetor was left with 2 tanks,4 goliaths and a vessel.
Psionic proceeded to expand again,this time to the mineral only expansion to the SW of his base.Both the player's main bases where mined out at excactly the same time.But praetor was restless.2 dropships with 2 tanks and 4 goliaths where droped on the cliff overlooking psionic's natural.Once again,another protoss base was taken down by tanks.
Psionic once again takes an expansion,this time the mineral only expansion to his SE.While at the same time,praetor was expanding to the bottom right island.
Psionic also builds a citadel and a templar archives to his main and also brings his gateways count up to 6.
Until now,preator had the control of the flow of the game,He continualy tried to kill expansions and expand himslef while trying to contain psionic.But now it was psionic's time for glory.6 gateways pumped out a huge force of dragoons and zealots,about 40 in total that he sent to assault praetor's main.4 tanks where already sitting in the cliff,and under it 4 goliaths where guarding.

Praetor's downfall:
Praetor's base fell easly when the tanks where lost,only a bunker was there to defend and it was wiped of by zealots easy.Praetor lifted all his buildings and headed them to 6 o'clock,while at the same time,using the forces that he forgot after towering psi's natural to do the same to his SE expansion.The exansion was lost _again_.The rest was easy for psionic,he headed his force to the 6 o'clock base and whiped everything off there 2.
But flew all his remaining buildings to the top left island and started turreting the lower right one but it was not enough.Preator,warping 6 spaceports and a fleet beacon brought about 12 carriers from Aiur and proceeded to take down everything else.
The lessons:
For the players:
1)Containment:It's good if you can puul it off,it's bad if it's puuled off against you.
2)No matter how many emp you can cast,dragoons own :)
For the observer:
1)First br i write and it was hell,i need to work on my writing style.
2)Photoshop can make wonders if you know how to use it...i don't.
