Hello and welcome to my second Battle
Report. I learned alot from my errors on my first report, so this
should be better. Now that I got my little secret weapon, things
are easier to do. I used the same style as last time, different
writing though, the vocabular I used was anoying me so I'll keep
it "uneducashunated" or whatever that means. Same style
for pics, I like border colors (duh who doesn't). Btw, I got you
a little tune to get ya started, if you dont have high speed
forget it for now, or give it some time to load, just start
reading and it will play later (1.2mb). And ya, the music might
distact you, so if you have trouble concentrating just turn the
speakers/headphones off. It has three loops on it, so if you
wanna keep on listening I think "refresh" should do it,
sorry if you don't like it, it's the only one on my comp right
now, except for "system of a down", but hey it's not
bad.
Anyways, this game was played a few months ago, I wanted to
report it, so here it is. The game was played on Vanilla SC, but
it still kicks ass. You'll never guess what map it was played on,
Lost Temple ;)! I joined a public game and expected an easy win
newbie rape style, but that was not to be the case. My oponent
was Jaw)Tenchi. I knew that Jaw was a good clan, I had played a
few of its members before. I tried to check his record but
something went wrong. It said: "Player does not have a
record". I tried again, and it replied "Recs dont mean
shit u newbie!". So after getting dissed by the server, I
picked my race and the game started.
I landed a Command Center at the 12 o'clock
position, Tenchi randomed a CC at the 6 o'clock
position, courtesy of the Confederacy. We both started a wall with a supply depot at 9/10
and a Barracks at 12/18. I built
a Refinery and so did he, maybe he was copying me, bastard... I sent my 150hp SCV to scout and soon found the
ennemy base and finished my wall with a supply depot. My souped-up SCV got in right before Tenchi blocked off the entrance with a
bunker and supply depot. A stupid
Marine finished training and popped out of the Barracks. Using
its "Impaler" gauss rifle (heheh) it blew up my
favorite SCV, dang. Back in my base,
my SCVs are working hard on two Factories and a Command Center. Tenchi already has a Factory and starts
building a Starport. Smells like a drop doesn't it?
Argh. His two tanks start
"Arclite Canoning" my Refinery. My SCVs repair it while
two of my tanks show up to save the day. Good, he wasted all his
money on that drop right, yes! I got an expo and he doesn't
right, yes!
Wrong!.
Tenchi wasted no time preparing another
drop, this time his target is my natural. I had predicted that so I sent
a dropship with two tanks over to my top right cliff, that should
stop him for now. Nope. He unloads two tanks, two SCVs and six
Marines right on top of my sieged tanks. He starts picking at my
shit and it looks like im gonna lose that expo of mine, fork,
should of built some turrets there. I got
some tanks and two Vultures with mines. I load them in Dropships and off they go. To my
relief, he didn't build any turrets on the right portion of the
cliff. I unload all my shit there and start
attacking with my three siege tanks.

My army gets
the upper hand as his army lays there in total
"Apocalypseness", heheh. I even
use a spider mine to take out his last out-of-range tank. I load some tanks in Dropships and send em out.
I scan Tenchi's base and I see several starports, soon he'll have
some air, and I dont have alot of air defense,
except for a few turrets in my main. I'll
take care of that later, I feel
like expanding right now. Heavy metal costs alot of gas so I'll need some of it... One island please, with a
vespene geyser and eight mineral patches, thank you. Soon three
SCV's and a tank are headed for the island. I'm gonna take it like I
usually do, turrets on the outside, CC in the very center, tank
next to the CC. So far, looks good.
Ahhh crap, Tenchi took out my Eng.Bay on his second
drop. I quickly rebuild it and start
makin' some turrets. So far, so good. I then scan the enemy base and see dozens of SCVs
mining the natural like hell. Shit, gotta do somfin. Mine just
has about ten idiots mining. I smack
myself very hard on the forehead. French Fry! I had two dropships with loaded with tanks waiting
outside his base, never used em'. So I send
them all in and they are quickly blown to shreds, damnit what a
waste. Argh everything is going wrong. I send an SCV over to the 3 o'clock to build a
Command Center there but I get
caught pants down by a Marine.
I Now I gotta do somfin' that's gonna hurt
him. Hmmm... how 'bout some expo raping? Yup. Seven tanks, two
SCVs and a Goliath land on is cliff and soon he pulls his SCVs
away, to his mineral only, shit he got the mineral only too. Now
that my SCV finally figured out what pieces go where to build the
Armories, I can start upgrading and pumping
out some Goliaths. Tenchi on the other side, wants his
expansion back. He has a nice air force, and I don't get why he doesn't use it... Hey what's
those white dots on the minimap? Fart! He's takin' out my island
with em'! I thank the all-mighty that Tenchi only sent three wraiths in, that
way I can surely get it back. The CC
keeps on making SCV's and soon the island is mine again, but I lost five minutes of mining.
Anyways like I said,
Tenchi wants his expo back, he loads up a
few dropships with Marines and throws in some Tanks bellow the
cliff and a few Wraiths. Soon all my tank drivers are being
judged by God, Hell or Heaven? I say
Hell.
Now that I have
upgrades for my ground shit and he doesn't, my tanks will totally
own his. For you out there that don't know this yet, a tank with
a 1-0 upgrade will kill a tank with 0-0 upgrade in two shots,
without the weapon upgrade it takes three shots, and that is why,
my friends, that upgrades are very important.
Now for a little minimap update:
As you can see, Tenchi is taking the entire 9 o'clock
position, I don't know that yet.
I'm only scanning
with two comsats and usually I need
them for Wraith detection. The minimap will change a lot soon
enough, things are about to happen.
Tenchi builds up his new expansions, and
it takes me too long to find out. If he gets them both going, I'm
screwed. Sure enough I
finally scan the
cursed place and jump out of my squeaky chair. Shit, now this
guy's so rich he can wipe his ass with thousand dollar bills. And
it shows too, a scan reveals at least three dozen
wraiths and a huge jewish army of marines/tanks (Btw: Jews are
cool). Soon Goliaths and tanks are loaded in dropships and sent
out to the expansions. They manage to destroy the CC and many
SCVs but Tenchi's catches up with me and makes
Macaroni and Metal out of them.
Meanwhile I decide to take the 3 o'clock,
enough of this bullshit. This time it's mine, enough said. All my
Goliaths are sent there, with Tenchi
having mass air things can't go wrong right? Haha he's scared, he
scanned but he's not comming, cuz he's afraid of my Goliaths.
I wish. That smartass waited for me
to finish my CC before he attacked so that he can rape it. He
comes with a handfull of Tanks and makes some Goliath-noodle-soup
out of them, his Wraiths put an end to my CC's life. Now I have two dry mineral spots and one island, great.
But hey it doesn't matter he only got his natural and mineral
only right? Shit, a quick scan shows me a fully-functional
expansion at the 9 o'clock expo spot. Oh ya, I'll show you mister Big Shot, I, once again, opt for a drop. Twelve Goliaths are
dropped there and tear down the expansion, yes. A few wraiths do
a drive-by and shoot my dropships out of the sky, I scan but they're gone.
His Tank force gets there just in time and save at
least three SCVs. This should buy me some time. I Expand at both mineral only's and I build a Science Facility. Turrets would be nice,
but Fork, he took out my Eng.Bay again, its quickly rebuilt and
soon I have turrets covering my base. But
I'm not done yet, Tenchi still has the 9 o'clock position. I scan for defenses and see a nuke silo, uh-oh...
Unfortunately for me Tenchi
won't give me a very
long coffee break, he sends out a pack of Wraiths to attack my 12
o'clock mineral only. My Goliaths scare them away, but they turn
to dust as several Tanks smoke em'. But aaha, I have Tanks of my own, mine are better and they are
on the cliff. Shots are fired, people die, Tenchi loses many Tanks and a few
Wraiths. I had to pay the price too, my expo
is gone, turrets, my Eng.Bay AGAIN and my Science Facility.
Jeezus, why did I build those key buildings there?
Stupid stupid me.
At this point in the game, Tenchi has a very large air force with 2-2 upgrades and
my army consists of Tanks and Goliaths with 3-3 upgrades. But I need money really bad, my main income is my
mineral only at the 3 o'clock and it's naked. If Tenchi finds it, things could go bad for
me. Well guess what. He found it and made a bonfire with it. But I don't care, the 3 o'clock will soon be mine. It's
defended by a shitload of Tanks and enough turrets to repel a big
Wraith force.
Then I saw it, holy shit, a huge flock of Wraiths was
headed for my newly acquired expansion. Tenchi knew that I needed money so he'll sacrifice anything to take
out that expo. Sure enough he took it out but Wraith loses were
immense.
"Nuclear Launch
detected".
What the hell, I don't want a Nuclear Lunch. But
hey... wait a minute... that's no Lunch... it's a Launch! Omg!
No! Where's the dot! Where is it! Ahha, thank god there it is. I swing my Science Vessel to the right and that
bastard who aimed that dot at me gets his head smashed down by a
few Siege Tanks.
He sends in a few rines but they get their asses
kicked, really bad.

Tenchi tried to nuke my ass again but it
just killed a few tanks and it triggered my anger. I un-sieged all my tanks and sent all my shit in for
a full-scale attack, now it's all or nothing. My army runs into
many sieged tanks near the temple but my ground is better and I keep on pushing. Tenchi's
9 o'clock natural falls and so do my Goliaths. I keep on attacking and soon all his damn Factories
look like a burned down Hunnish village haha. Yes. Now he doesn't
have money and he lost seven Factories. I could try and attack his main straight on, but a
scan shows me some tanks on the cliff, but I have a backup plan. I'm
using the back door.

Tenchi made one last attempt at stopping
me and un-sieged all his tanks and sent them in. They got smoked
and it looked like a GG to me.
He made one last attempt at expanding but I stopped him. Tenchi played
very well and at some points I thought
the game was his. Lessons were learned. Always build key
buildings at a well defended spot, like in your main. I didn't do this at all, my Science Facility and
Eng.Bay looked like a wall in for my mineral only :P. On the
other side, Tenchi didn't upgrade his ground and this
changed the outcome of the game because my tanks killed his
easily. He showed me some nice expo-denying and that kept me from
having lots of money. Finally, we both played well and I hope ya'll enjoyed!
