The 5 rax opening, I am no terran expert by any stretch of my imagination but that seems WAY early on a map like showdown. Good report, nice idea with the Forrest Gump theme. Pictures could have shown more action but at least you got the basics down (better than i can do anyway :)

| yah...5 rax is pretty early..have u ever tried killing ling rush with scvs? it works, and sometimes it comes when ur rax is done and 1 marine training..just stall the lings until a bunker is ready, or just kill the lings with the 1 marine and scv...how much does 5 rax kill your economy? anyway...good report..and creative/funny |

I was one of the observers on the Dire Straits game vs La_Femme_Fatale. I just wanna say that I meant no harm when I said "you guys are the worst players I have ever watched ..." We were very amused by your way of playing, and you seemed to have fun too - so it was a great game. StarCraft is not about winning, it's about having fun!

Nice layout and careful use of pictures. The story waivered a bit in parts where you forced it to fit your theme, but still, it was good.
You don't need a bunker in your minerals, clogging up your production, to stop a 4 pool. One marine with scvs can stop it if you are prepared, and on a map as long as Showdown, you should be.
A common terran strategy on Showdown is to send an SCV all the way to the top of the map, build a Barracks, float it over to the top of your enemies plateau behind his minerals, and use marines from there to deny him access to some of his minerals for a while. While he's dealing with this, you're powering and floating to your island, even securing the center or preparing to finish him...
Don't ever build a bunker in your mineral line again! Build it right next to your command center on the non comstat side if you build one at all. =(

| Nice style but the strategies were a little iffy. Even though there's only two starts on Showdown, the length of the map is surely long enough to safely go for a standard build...perhaps 8 depot then barracks with a marne in the mineral line. |

huk, someone actually admitted 'in public' to 5 raxing. you wrote a nice report tho, and i enjoyed it even if i never saw that movie. u know if you 7 rax you can still get the bunker up before lings come ^^ especially on showdown. but that requires making peons.....just keep playing tho, you're making ladder players happy all over bnet and learning stuff. like not to 5 rax or make anything inbetween your CC and minerals. ever.
