OMG, this was a great report.
A great game that kept me on the edge of my chair and that valiant goliath added so much to the report.
Excellent job reporting and excellent job choosing a good game to report on. Great screenshots and good writing, minimaps showing map status. This report had everything. I'm wracking my brains trying to think of a reason why this shouldn't be a 10 and nothing comes to mind, so I'll have to go with it.

Um, Sp|nE has a few points here, except 'purple is gay'. I really appreciate the 10 Dref, I don't think it will stand though (I may be a cruel Dr. at times, but I am pretty reasonable).
I am still trying to work out my own graphics kinks. I think I did succeed in getting some better pic resolution this time, but I still have a way to go.

I don't find any stretched picture, and not one that has a single line inside.
Sp|ne: purple is not necessarily (sp?) gay, but it may not be a good idea since one player is purple. But you are right that only epic brs should get a 10. I'd say 9 is for very good reports. But this is the raters problem.

I stand by my rating. The background didn't bother, and I didn't notice the lines in the pictures until probe mentioned them. I was leaning toward a nine, but then the goliath angle pushed me over the edge... :-)
I've contacted a couple of other raters though to get their opinions, I'm still new to the rating biz ya know ;-)

I stand by Drefsab too... That's why we have a variety of raters. This report is visually "Bob_the_Newt" style but with it's own unique writing style. It was very well presented and seemed accurate.
Remember to get a 10.0, a report usually has to get a 10 from 5 raters... this report just got a 10 from Drefsab. I am going to give it a 9.0, not because of anything super unique about it, but because the presentation was great, the effort was there, and it wasn't on Lost Temple.

The mere fact that it was a map I don't know about, and would love (looks so much like bridge to bridge :D) makes this report rocking. However, the terran probably hated it since you need to know where to aim those comsats at. I do wonder why he built goliaths instead of m&m, though; if he feared guardians then wraiths would've been a much better choice. Of course, that would mean no super-goliath. Suddenly the TA idea of making 'vets' sounds wild.
Well, when I comment that much on the game, it's usualy because I can't complain about the br, and there's only so many ways to say it rocks ;).
Reading this report is like:

Nicely worded. Much better than Spine's work (uses gay too much - hmmm?). Able to create characters (Meathead, etc.) Shots are vgood. Doesn't get involved in the game. Good job, Doc.

Now for some actual commentary on the game ;-) :
1) The thing about your peons killing each other at the same time is completely arbitrary. You take two and attack-unit them toward each other, and sometimes one will die and sometimes both will. The easiest way to do this is to start them at full health and then listen to the sounds of them attacking each other. You should sorta start to recognize a pattern - sometimes they attack simultaneously, sometimes one will before the other, etc. This is easiest to notice with drones since their attack sound ("spit") is very distinctive.
Anyway, it's all luck if you don't want to bother trying to recognize the pattern. If one dies, then remember you can always try again by using your remaining 50 to make another SCV.
2) I wouldn't mine if I were an observor. I used to do this just for fun, but it can hurt in the long run because some maps have scarce resources where every mineral counts. If he chooses to expand early to where you were mining, he will almost definitely mine the expansion completely; and if you had mined e.g. 200 minerals from that site, you're basically robbing him of 200 minerals, almost like if you had killed 4 of his marines. I have really strict rules for people who observe my game; and call me anal, but if they don't follow the rules or talk too much during the game, I just put them on my ban list so they're not allowed to observe again. After all, we are doing them a bit favor by letting them watch our game... |

You're right. The only thing I have in my defense is the map, Aurora. It has a billion mineral patches in it. I think I said at one point that I'd kill myself in the 200 minerals I mined influenced the outcome of the game.
Still, I think that long distance mining by an observer would annoy me if I was playing an important game, so I won't do it again.

Crud, you guys get the NICE observers... Or maybe I just attract the particularly mentally challenged ones :(
I've had observers build "secret" bases and win the game just as someone else was about to win it, I've been hit by 8 simultaneous nukes from a particularly nasty observer, I've even lost all my scourge which should have been killing corsairs to a veritable field of floated raxes courtesy of an observer... But the observer that pissed me off the most built masses of wraiths while I was testing an Ultra rush on an unsuspecting toss, it would have worked too if the obs hadn't started killing all my overlords! AAARGH!
So be happy... A legitimate passtime for observers in the beginning of a game here in SA is hunting critters. At least it keeps the bastards busy :(
Oh, and getting 0 SCVs is easy. If you want I can post a short BR on it...

The story-telling is very smooth and attention-grabbing. Nice layout. I don't agree with Spine regarding purple as gay. It's not the color, it's the content.
I don't think anybody else could have done a better job so the rating is 10.
