Bw-Sux. STFU NEWBIE I OWN YOU )#@*$$!!! JK :) Ok well a turbo newbie a terran tactic executed with AT LEAST the following units -- tank and drop ship. Basically, the terran finds a protoss encampment that is near a cliff. The terran then drops a tank on that cliff and uses the height advantage to pummel the surrounding area.
It is almost standard to drop one tank, 1 scv, and three marines when executing the turbo newbie. The scv should first construct a bunker (unless you suspect dt drop but even still I suggest bunker), then after the marines are in the bunker, have the scv begin constructing a turret, and have the tank seige up. Reinforcing the position with additional marines and tanks makes for some mean expansion killing. I think this gets the term turbo newbie from the fact that back in the day everyone started laddering with terran and this was like THE first odd tactic newbies learned, and thus most executed. |

Oh man, who would voluntarily NOT play Terran on showdown? I'm amazed that Terran didn't win this one. Cliff sieges rule all the way, I think Toss needs to get speed shuttles with mass drops to counter or something.
Heh, last Showdown game I played, it was TvT, I sent my 5th SCV to the corner of his base and built a rax there, then bunkered his peon line... Oddly, he was thinking about doing the same, but I killed his SCV at my base :-). I apologized, but it was hard to be sincere since we both obviously were both trying to same cheap tactic except that mine succeeded :-). |

Nice report. Easily one of the best I've seen on the site. The minimap shots with arrows pointing to key locations was very gosu.
Still don't know how I feel about Terran vs Protoss on Showdown. People always say Terran own Protoss, but after seeing Grrrr... play [B_Blade]Leader on Showdown I'm not so certain. Granted Grrrr... may have been the best Toss in the world at the time (and maybe still is) but nobody can doubt how good Leader is with Terran either.
Great report though. Keep up the good work.
