im not a br writer but i rekon after all the hard work they put into there br's for little idiots to come along and " claim " 1st 2nd!!! i GOT THIRD would be quite annoying and even off putting.. Hay staff i rekon u should nip this kiddie trend in the butt.
Anyway my suggestion is to stay constand throughout your br. First u started calling them by name then reverted to calling them yellow , purple . etc .. I got a bit mixed up.
Also Include shots of the mini-map throughout your report it helps show the flow of the battle and helps the reader picture the battle in there minds. |

And even in the rare circumstances when I can get a first comment, I always read the br and a leave a more substantial comment later. This "claiming" has been going on for a long time now, and I have seen enough people claim first comment on a really bad or offensive report without reading it first, and later regret the comment. I try to read the br first before commenting, and this time I just happened to read the majority of it ahead of time when |]agomar inadvertantly posted an unfinished version. However, if you insist on calling me an idiot, may I point out that in your above comment:
"reckon" is misspelled (lines 1,3)
the apostrophe is omitted from the word "I'm" (1)
the I in "I'm" is not capitalized (1)
"there" is used when "their" is the proper word (1,9)
"hey" is misspelled (3)

I loved that minimap with the map-long line of lings! That was an incredible shot.
The only thing that would keep this from being a 10 would be the occasional misspellings and typos. The pix are really nice, the game was good, and the text was generally well-written. It was easy to tell what was happening and you didn't give away the ending like ppl do on occasion.
If I was a rater I'd say 9.95... |

| I shall answer your question #14 no name guy. The Zerg did attack me(I was purple) but I had 2 bunkers w/ 2 bats and 2 rines in each at my natural choke as well as a depot on each side which funneled the lings right into my bunkers. My all Vega's SCV's that got out of his base were repairing my bunkers and I lost nothing while the Zerg lost every ling he attacked with. |

Well, this report was quite good. A very interesting game to read about. I can't believe that purple lost his main and then won by mass producing Battlecruisers against a protoss / zerg opponent... That is just uncalled for.
The Ling collage at the beginning was very well done and the whole report in general was quite good. This is a solid 9 in my book... :-)

Now for my long-awaited comment: This BR rox. Nice graphics, good game except for the BCs, left very few things out, patched what you missed, but you did say I was a spammer, so I give it an 8, but don't care about me. I am not a rater.

quite a quality br, i enjoyed it immensly. i just have a quick question...did Element(V) became Eliminator(V) at one point in the game, is that another handle of his u know him by, or am i out of my mind?
i thought i kept seeing those 2 in the same color..im gonna go check again just 2 be sure...great br tho..a few more minimaps in the collages woudl be nice..i did like the one where teals lings headed to yellows base..that definately was elucidating.

Curly always was famous for his comebacks...
He did win our tourney, and the br's for some of his games are done by Dr. Zchivago, if anyone cares, and I believe Vega might be in one or 2 as well...
That was certainly a great br, and I loved the way that it was both well written in an exciting manner, yet also very clear and comprehensive. Some br's I find myself wondering what's happening, who's who, and that sort of thing. It helped that I know Curly and Vega too :)
Anyways, my only suggestion, which goes out to all br'ers, is that before each major section, include a small synopsis, ie, what has happened so far, who controls what and how many expansions, and who is currently winning (in the estimation of the br'er) I find that really clears things up and gets everything straight in the mind before you once again dive into the action.
Well, long comment for me, so feel complimented. (duh, I already did anyways... oh well :>) |

A very good report, helped by the unpredictable nature of the game.
I think that if you'd proofed and spellchecked then it would have been a ten. (I have some idea of, and a lot of sympathy for, the effort that you put into the report, btw.)
I think that the report might have read a little bit more cleanly if you hadn't been quite so enthusiastic with the descriptions... All the dreaded reavers, bloated robotic slugs, deadly scarabs, countless SCV's, etc. This might just be a style thing that I'm missing out on, of course. Also if you're making fun of someone running marines in against reavers then it would be entertaining to know how many of them died before the eyes of their two surviving buddies. ;)
Hmm, I really didn't want to sound negative because it was a great report I hope this was constructive.

Great report of a terrific game. I prefer backgrounds
of a color easy on the eyes, Banana, and
dark colors are best for that. I'll second Napoleic's
laudable synopsis idea, and I enjoyed the vivid and
emotive descriptions, especially: 'bloated robotic

I'm not going to respond to everything again ( ;D ), but thanx to all those who said this was a cool report!
I'll use spell check from now on . . . but it's a pain with all the SC words the checker doesn't recognize.
I did use Element once I suppose, but if you feel obliged to comment on that you're pretty pathetic ( and especially if you're the kind of person who follows that up with 'excellent observation' ). It's a long report, I made a couple mistakes here and there, shouldn't have, should've spell chcked, so sue me. Better next time =)

Well. An awsome report and if it weren't for a few mistakes it most likely would've gotten a 10. Good game, and Yellow *he had the BCs, right, damn my bad short term memory, DAMN IT TO HELL!* should have gotten SVs at first... And high templar with storm might have enabled the 'toss to survive that battle. Just my humble opinions 8)

Great BR, and from the view of it that we get from the BR, a great game too. But you'd think that once team Varied destroyed BOTH of their opponent's bases, while retaining a massive army, they'd have the game in hand. I'd hazard a guess that their loss was mainly because they didn't seize the huge opportunity they had created for themselves. They could've expanded all over the map with few repurcussions, the Zerg could've tried a drop (8 lings to a lord, which is... 3 lords per two control groups, which is... a lot of lords =)), etc.

Could be, although Curly really did an excellent job of seizing the opportunity of not being attacked . . . he expanded extremely rapidly, and team T was actually inflicting some damage while being pummeled in the mind game ( ie Vega's drop ). =)
