Yea, I was a little bummed on the 8. I didn't run rampant on humor, but there WAS some in there (Bobo was mentioned, SouthPark was mentioned, comments about Swedes). I will just have to start not caring about the ratings now.
And yes, the end was a little rushed. It just sucked so bad that we had to restart Game 3 from a previous save. [s] was definitely in good shape until the drop. But, so it goes sometimes.
AgentN- not sure why you didn't get pics, everyone else seemed to.

I click on picture properties and type the text in the "Alternate Text" field.
Ok, seriously...
You already know the code to place your picture, all you have to do is add the 'alt' parameter.
Normal pic code looks like this:
<b>img "blah blah blah"</b>
Just add the <b>alt</b> paramter for text:
<b>img "blah blah blah" alt="Bane inserts text here"</b>
I hope two things now, that this helps and that this code stuff worked<i>!!</i>

You do good reports, and I wish bnet would have let you watch us. Rampant splitting and other usual bnet crap wouldn't let us, and I apologize for this. I like being in battle reports, and it looks like you do a good job.
In case you were wondering, I'll give a brief report. We have first map choice, and we chose Killing Fields. We were victorious, Testie and me, but at least Therak and Thorlock kinda knew how to play the map, most people don't have a clue how to play anything but temple.
For games 2 and 3, ~yyr got to choose map, and both times they chose Dire Straits. Although I am captain of ER, I don't play the island maps, DS-SpaceFoo is a better island player than I am, and so he and Testie defeated them twice in a row, and we advanced.
Thanks for reporting on the WGL's games! Maybe we'll see you again next season.

I thought the br was written well enough for a 9. In a tourney br you don't want too much humour. There supposed to be serious games, so they deserve a serious report. I think the Doc had just the right amount of humour. I prefer epic br writing style, you know, using long words and harrowing adjectives to make it seem like it really really matters what the outcome is and emphasise the skill of the players. I think Dr.Z did a great job of that.
As usual I didn't get any text (NN) but I can highlight it to read it. It's funny about a friend o mine though. He has NN and when he didn't see the text, he didnt think to highlight it. He went to all the 10's and such and all he could see was a few names and pics. He was like: "BR.com is on crack! They call this a 10 br??!!" Of course when he went to 7-8's they had normal text so he could read it. He just couldn't understand why you thought that names and pics was better than an actual report, hehe |
