This was one of the best written reports i have ever read and this compares in my opinion to hall of fame work. Forget pictures, with writing like yours, you didn't need pictures for that report

This is definitely a high gold report. Your writing is great, and it managed to keep me reading and interested throughout. Which is a hard thing to do without pictures. This might just have been the best text-only report I have ever read on the site, excluding a few Mark4 did as AQD3. But I like this one better, seeing as how you weren't my hated enemy Toss, and you actually beat one of 'em. Keep making reports like this and you could be a very successful writer on this site. With a bit of HTML, a few pictures and your writing style you could be a perennial 9+ rating reporter on this site.

Very cool report... who needs pics eh?
I loved your descriptions of the game. Well written and easy to follow. Also enjoyed reading about a terran beating down a toss, especially on a map like hunters where its more difficult to set up a choke defense.
Hope to see more from you, this was some good stuff.

I enjoyed your writing style; descriptive, entertaining yet dry, and explicit. I have a new name to add to my list of authors to watch for.
If you feel like supplementing your reports with pictures, I recommend going to jasc.com and downloading Paint Shop Pro 6. It's an awesome graphics program I love to death. You have 30 days to decide if you want it and then it's $100--as soon as I get paid I'm buying it.

great report. i liked your discriptions about the battle scences. like:
"The marines thumped the huge structure relentlessly as the tanks lobbed shells from a good distance behind the infantry. Then came the garrison. About eight leg enhanced zealots came bearing down on my tanks, closing fast and quickly ducking under the range of the machines. The vultures tried to thump them off but their attempts were futile in the face of such a quick foe."
anyways the only problem i found was that you said:
"This was not Lost Temple and so there would be no ramp choke this time. Hunters demands that you face your opponent toe to toe and face to face. No funny stuff, just war."
though this is true it is not completely true. in hunters has a narrow a narrow choke that leads to your natural and another choke on the side of your natural. |

My favourite part:
"Factories began to sprout like weeds all over both of my base. Vultures rolled out of them, tanks rumbled the ground beneath us as they emerged, goliaths lumbered down the ramps while every possible upgrade that a machine shop can make was being researched"
It has the best atmospheric description of heavy metal so far. You can feel the entire terran army producing and mobilising its machines in preparation for war. Excellent battlereport. Like the idea of terran killing toss. More! More!

This was really a <i>great</i> Battlereport.
You really did a hell of a job with describing the atmosphere. Just take a look at this (my favorite part):
"Then they were upon us, ungodly speed drove them toward us and into our ranks, warp blades glistening with the fresh blood of my point man. I scanned and stimmed and my men opened fire upon the inhuman creatures, cutting through the shields that granted them extra life and into the very flesh of the beasts. The pair was dispatched quickly and we were left standing. My comsat scan disappeared."
