Ok a few things.
I noticed that in one paragraph, you not only described (in not much detail) al the players build orders, and the death of one of the players. WAY more detail is needed.
No matter how great of a game it was, unfortunately, were al against BGH in some way, so a 2v2 on BGH isn't the most interesting thign to read.
And dont worry too much about pics. It really isnt that hard to link them to the net, Geocities works fine. And if your going to do an all text report, make sure the writing is good.

JawaAvenger you shouldn't flame him. Maybe he didn't put the most effort he could have into the br, but it's better than some of the brs that have been posted recently. Even it wasn't, just saying he sucks isn't going to make him feel better or want to impove. Try to offer constructive criticism.
As for the report, I will say that you have room for improvement. You do use html and have some pics, which is nice, but if you used your html and pics a little differently your br would seem much better. The first thing you can do is wrap your text around your images and include them where they belong in the br, not at the end as battle shots. Also, don't center your text on every line. It just looks weird. Another important thing is to proofread your br and make sure nothing is misspelled and there are no grammar mistakes. This alone goes a long way in making your br seem better. Umm, what else? Try to do a br on a game where you're not playing first, preferably a 1v1. that way you can follow the action much more easily and you don't have to worry about winning the game.
BUT, you should know all this already because you have access to some excellent br guides at this site! Almost everything I said in the last paragraph is something you would know if you had gone over those guides. So read them, please.

BGH sucks IS constructive criticizm, now he knows(I hope) never to sumbit a BGH report. Also, i was correcting him when I said "You are a newby", don't want to give false information in your BRs! Also, the report WAS lame, this will help him learn that this kinda report will just end in more flaming. I stand by those comments, and if you'll notice, I DID say "try again". Therefore, I believe I might be helping him. So there! 8Þ *nyah*

You actually made an effort on this report, it however has room for improvement. Even though I myself have problems with grammar and spelling they are essential for a good report. You want someone to be able to enjoy reading it, not make it a chore for them. But good effort, keep trying and I am sure you will do much better next time.

| Weird. Since I've gone back down memory lane of this site, and read all the crappy reports of the beginning, most of the new reports are of bgh games. I think the circle is just about complete. BTW, did StarCraft come out for a NEW type of computer or something? Maybe that's why there's so many newbie reports around here. |

King_, I believe that StarCraft has made it to a new audience around Christmas. By that time peoples friends were telling them it's good, WarCraft has worn out its welcome, and hey, it's Christmas. Ever since then there has been a constant stream of Newbies. 8( 3 of my friends started playing since December, and I only started playing on B-Net in September (I've been playing 24/7, i do NOT suck) Around now these "New Newbies" are advancing beyond "newby" status, and looking for challenges. Some have found BR.com StarCraft can't be dead, too many people are just starting. 8) Sadly, it exlains the overuse of BGH too... Oh well. I hope this is true, but hey, I'm gonna get flamed anyway. 8)

Those two quotes are not a good way to start a BR, the game was played on BGH, and it ended in a disconnect...
Starting at 10, and subtracting 2.5 points for each of these 3 things, you end up with a 2.5 which rounds up to a 3.

im amazed that literally the whole list of the "join" game menu is BGH about 50% of the time now. Although it was always predominitely BGH since ive been playing, it increased in popularity real quick, and i assume that is because of the newbies who started playing way more because of the map hacking bonanza.
i think that if we get a non-hackable patch, about 75% of BGH will disappear within 3 months. |

My thinking for why people like BGH is the same reason Nohunters consistantly chooses Lost Temple for 1v1's. Its what everyone plays. The cattle mentality and all.
In my experince, you can get BGH players to play nonBGH, sure they whine for about a month, but eventually their just as (if not more) anti-BGH then you are (but of course suck more cause BGH rotted their brain). |
