Nice br, as it was. Yeah hacking is retarded and I hate when people accuse me of hacking (ie i saw his expansion with my observor or something), but its pretty decent of you not to show the guy's name.

hi uncle_a.
I know who you are. yeah hacking accusations suck. play people in nh. they tend to be slightly less lame. Although its a lot harder to get in a game. gl |

Yes, I do understand, and unfortunately for me, I was once quilty of this--accusing an opponent who seemingly beat me hands down. At the time, I was convinced that he was hack, in fact, I had absolutely no doubt of it.
Then, my turn came. I don't use hacks, never downloaded it or bothered to find out how they work. With that said, many months ago, I played against a random SC player & beat him hands down. As soon as it was clear to the both of us that he was "done for," he/she began accusations of hacking.
To be short, I was disstressed, and since then, never have I accused anyone of hacking. What I learned was to loose gracefully. It was a pill to swallow, but.....
I hope that Blizzard will find some working schemes to eradicate hacking; I myself played a few games last night where my opponent used the dual disconnect hack to get out of a loss. god, I wanted to break something. Hell, "it's just a game"--(in other words) I got over it.
Remember, keep it real & peace,

(DL)Spam/Shephard: Ok... this is definately the downside of writing something off the top of my head then not proofreading - the observer at 9 visioned us, then turned off vision.... hehe :)
Wangsonn: Not sure what you mean, but, ok, I'm hardcore.. (?)
Znzf: Long ago before I stopped Starcraft for Asheron's Call for a while I used to play in Nohunters. I liked it for a couple reasons - people were generally more friendly, and skill level of players was moderately high. Today, the community is still friendly (much much better compared to many people in that hang in -x17), but at the times when my cable's lagless enough to play (past 12am EST), NH is often empty, or just consists of 2 or 3 people chatting. =(
-TopGun-: I guess hack suspiscion is often a quick & easy explanation for someone who has just lost a game. Personally, I like giving my opponents the benefit of doubt - perhaps simply because I'm used to losing, but I think the main reason is that hackers usually do suck for real. I'm glad that you (and I'm sure many others as well) have learned how accusations affect "innocent" ones. And as for dual disc., just know it in yourself that you won the game, regardless of what your bnet record might suggest.

Heh. I liked this BR. I think every time we try to accuse someone of hacking, we should at least think about all the possibilities of the person not hacking. Unless we are absolutely positive that our opponent is hacking, we should never really accuse someone for hacking. I remember very vividly one game where I was 3:00 on temple, where i had 2 fat lurkers at my choke, and my hydras were dancing trying to get through. Well, it just so happens that my opponent's dropship skidded through, and with my hydras on attack move, as well as with dropships being crappy slow pieces of shit, my hydras killed it. Then, I started getting flamed by him accusing me of hacking. Sigh... I just wanted to put my say in this.
sby...
P.S. If u ever wanna play me iamnotdrunk! I am pretty decent. My B-Net name is ZergKillrr, or cRaCkLiNg.eAtEr.
P.P.S. Hey Dref, if u made this report, and polished it up a little, it would've gotten like an 8, so I think 5 is a little unfair...but thats just me, and I'm lowly, so I'll stfu now.=( |

I consider it a compliment when people accuse me of hacking, and I'll usually share vision with them on the spot so they can see all my observers and keep playing the game.

| Yeah, I like never accuse people of hacking, cause I know how pitiful it makes other people look to me when they (wrongly) accuse me of hacking (mostly sore losing pubbies, but some other renowned and skilled players, like [OBK]rAGECLOAK). There are some people who I think hve no possibility of innocence, but I just try my hardest not to accuse them, cause I know I'm not perfect and it could be my mistake |

| this was pretty good. I remember a while back when dref did a "so now im a hacker" report, and this writing is just as good as that one. The diff was that dref's had a pretty background (i think) and pics incorperated w/ the report. I think this deserves at least a 6.5-7. =/ too bad im not good enough to be accused of hacking, or maybe im just playing the wrong people. can some1 hook me up with a player that will accuse anyone of hacking if he loses? then i'll feel special like all of you. |
