I would like to say that a lot of people need to work on thier English in the Starcraft community, and one more thing... BGH!? There is a parallel there. The thing with this report is we don't really know whats happening in the games, all we see is some people cursing up a blue streak. Yes we all know they were backstabbed, but we don't know any details, we don't know the people, we don't really know the situation. Therefore it's very impersonal.
The report which you linked to (wasn't it you that did that one too?) was very personal. Every sickening detail was described and we, the audience, came to have a great sympathy for the victims.
The difference is like the difference between a farce and a drama. One makes light of backstabbing, the other reveals it in all it's grim reality. |

you are comparing racism to backstabbing in starcraft - a game? its a game, how can it be sickening. If these people were hurt in real life then it would be terrible, but, of course, they were not. If they seriously got upset in real life because they were bsed in starcraft, well, then there is something wrong with them.
