| That game reminds me of this really old Duke Nukem comp racing game I used to play. All sorts of civilians around the tracks, rather fun to just run them all over or shoot at them, as the case may be. |

| Now, this was nice. I love reports on classics like this, all though the report wasn't the flashiest, I thought you did a great job man. 9.0, because I believe it was a great game to report on, and your writing was excellent. |

Nice report..nice writing-saw you use knew instead of new once though.
lol@mike tyson's punch out.
I made it my goal(and succeeded) to start at the beginning and go through the game without getting touched by one guy.
Not a jab. Not an uppercut, and not one of bald bull's rushes.
I want to see a battletoad's battlereport..that game owned. |

To help refresh your memory, the name of the Tier3 vehicle is Air Blade.
If I remember right, the names of the cars are, in ascending order of cost (and gosuness):
Dirt Devil - Marauder - Air Blade - Battle Trax - Havoc
Be sure you get enough cash to afford a Havoc or to invest heavily in +Traction equipment by the time you get to the ice planet (world 5 or 6, don't remember exactly which), because slippery track plus mines/pit traps is an industrial stength biatch (for those who don't know or remember, Havoc = hovercraft = no slipping, plus a gosu heat seeking Sundog gun).
Good luck and blow nitro, ya road toad!

Fun stuff, brings back memories long thought lost.
I was king of that game, with the born to be wild song in my ears, even the fearsome Grinder would look pitiful.
Btw SiG, I would totally own your ass in Smash Bros. I don't brag much, but I'm self-proclaimed Danish King of Smash Bros.

Thanx for all the kind words, pitty theres no online version of the game :/
There was a megadrive version but its sound wasn't as good nor was its grahpics.
Im not really a big fan of the Havoc. I prefer to upgrade the shit out of the Battle Trax rather than having to shell out for the Havoc then start all over with its upgrades. |

You, sir, are a GOD! Rock n' roll Racing was one of my favorite games of all time. Battle Trax is the best vehicle.Period. I used to play it for HOURS on my Sega Channel add-on (Does anyone remember the Sega Channel? Cable company hooked you up with ~50 game a month, for 20 bucks. Score.)
Man, all these old games are coming back to me. I was particularly(sic) fond of the Strike series. Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, Urban strike. Genesis rocked!
Did anyone ever play "GunStar Heroes"? One of the last great Genesis games...
Duck hunt was the shit. I got my 8-bit NES when I was 4. I beat Mario Bros before I turned 5. Long live Gaming!

Ahh.. fond memories... I could get past that racing level, but never could get all the way.. between the fire flying level (which is just plain mean) and level 10, I never had enough skill to break the level 11 race against the rat.. I did have some ideas for how I could do it, but never had an oppertunity again.
Then came emulators.. I beat it straight through two months ago. One fine game, indeed. |
