It will be done.
Kick ass, man. (: | | #2 Fractal_Wave[3867] | | Geez...you just enjoy using units other people think suck to beat them down don't you?? Scouts in this one, Queens & Defilers in the last one.
I'm waiting for part 3, where you beatdown 3 zerg as terran with solid vultures.
=)
It seemed to me that you were being overly defensive during the game, what with all the cannons, although i applaud cannoning your own cliff. That's VERY smart.
I assume the mass defense is needed because you've got three ppl to defend against?
Xcellent report.
All the best for 1999

| | #3 .Praetor[3873] | | I did start with cannons first, but I would also say I had less cannons than anyone else playing. I had 4 at my choke, 3 on my cliff, 4 at spaced out places in my base, and 7 at my island.
Sometimes a waste of money, but it's what works for me FFA on temple. Cannons and templar until the third base is up is stragely effective, though Zealot rushes do well vs it. Still, a zealot rush is not always effective.
Not a super fast build though, so I don't always get to the island first. Often people are fools enough to forgoe their natural and then go for island. I usually cliff-cannon those people.
It's also surprising how often I skirmish over an island. You'd be amazed how effective one archon, one zealot and one DT can be.
How'd I get on that subject? Anyway fractal, I LOVE to use units that suck. I should tell you about the time I was facing DisgruntledApe, Sqick, and TheAntar in a 3v3 on Sirocco. I didn't build a single tank. Didn't even get the add-on. I nuke-rushed. Thanks to my partners, and a choke defense, we won =). But I've been using units that suck forever. I was using mass SV back in Vannilla SC, when they were 25m300g, and it was rare to see one. Hehe. Never have been able to lockdown well though.
One time I was facing this Zerg, who went all lings and mutas. Powerful combo, right? I've never seen just six archons kill a player before. Muahaha.

www.sclegacy.com/phoenix/ | | #5 .Praetor[3875] | | HEY JOHNNY, I figured out your bug. I noticed this thing on Alita's last report, where her response to my comment came before mine and after. It happens like this, I press the add comment button, and the netscape warning do you want to sumbit info, etc... comes up. I notice I left /phoenix/ off the footer, and cancel the comment, make the change, and add comment again.
Your bug is somewhere in there.

www.sclegacy.com/phoenix/ | | #6 -=1999=-[3960] | | | Man, reading this brought back fuzzy memorys of playing Ladder FFa's on green valleys. I loved playing them. Just go toss get two cannons as defense and get a few templars and a shuttle and the game is yours cause you could just shuttle the probes to different islands on the high ground and cannon up everything and go for 48 scouts. The 4 gases in the corners where my favorite hangouts. And I almost always lost my main down in the valley but ended up winning anyways. | | #7 Johnny_Vegas[4049] | | | Yeah, the "bug" is when people reload the comments page, thus resubmitting their post... Everyone does this! Not sure how to fix it. Maybe I will have them be sent to another page after they add a comment.. | | #8 .Praetor[4093] | | | Yes Johnny, but why then does it appear before other comments? | | #9 Elendale[37548] | | 205-213-43-110.sdlax.k12.wi.us | Heh. Scouts rule :) The trick is to have them attack and kill one thing then be set to run back to your shield batteries. With the upgrades they are fast enough to do so also. Against BC/Carrier they own completely and totally, the end, hands down, no cookie for you carrier rusher. BCs can get nasty with that yamato thing though... yuck... breaking the shields in one shot is the worst thing for scouts...

Hrm, I'll consider using this in FFAs, since scouts rocks heavy air, corsairs rock light air, and D web keeps ground from attacking...very cool. | | #11 .Praetor[152777] | | c-67-172-163-127.client.comcast.net | | Yeah, it was a nice victory. I usually try to go for something weird. Large ground armies will usually manage to defeat scouts even with d-web though. | | #12 BeRzErKeR[158587] | | 216.49.74.174 | | Mass m&m. Stimmed marines can dodge dweb pretty well. | | #13 Convider[159608] | | HSE-Toronto-ppp304146.sympatico.ca | So that's why my mass scout strategy didnt work, I needed temps and sairs to back me up :/
I'm surprised a report this good only got 8 comments originally...
| | #14 [164185] | | 82.148.97.70 | | Good strategy i like it even so many years later... | | #15 .Praetor[167010] | | c-67-164-209-28.hsd1.ca.comcast.net | | Thanks for the comment Convider. You seem to say something substantial on each report :). |
