Hmm, I guess I won't open up the report until its fixed one way or another so we won't have to put up with random font color/background complaints.
If you want to externally link your report, just rename your BR that is called "Ronbr.html" to something else and upload it. Then create another file which has a hyperlink to the other file(perhaps with a pretty picture if you feel like it), call it "Ronbr.html", and upload it as well. Then everything will be fine.
Supposedly. |

Wow a very very impressive effort for a first report on Rise of Nations which unfortunately I have never gotten into :( to much like Empire Earth... ugh.
But this br seems to capture the action very well, considering most of the time in Age like games is spent empire building :P
Definately an 8, though possibly a bit longer next time?
Please write more, lord knows this site needs all the quality reports we can get :D

| Tis true though, you can just host your images with us. We've had a lot of reports over the year break because people hosted their images somewhere else. |

| Looks nice. I like the color scheme. One problem is with some of your image alignments causing paragraphs or sentences to become disjointed, which makes for some odd reading. Go for less pictures next time, I think, including only ones that really showcase the action. |

| Looking at it now (assuming fixedness) I say 8. Nice report, though the game itself seems a little slow and to be mostly strategy rather than tactics... ah well. |

| 8. Good writing,a lot of pics could be condensed into collages (better for organization imo), and the game didnt seem that interesting (red masses, blue masses, blue upgrades, red upgrades, blue masses and wins) |

Overall, a very nice production for a first report. JV and WGL no doubt helped with the technical details, but it was still all you baby!
Some more meta-game analysis would have been nice. I'm still in shock that the Russians lost, I thought they were dominating until that final attack. What's up with that? Did they slack on resources, lose too many in previous battles?
Still very concise and good.

One of my favorite games.
This game is ungodly complex, and you managed to explain enough to describe the game, yet not get overloaded in describing too much.
Good writing. Not great, somehat bland and unexciting. I could not relate to the pictures; they seemed to have little to do with the report or there would have been better ones.
Too short however. Maybe a little more description and analysis of what really happened would have been better. The analysis is the most important, as the comment above me says.
7.0, definitely. |

I actually enjoyed this, however I felt that there was not enough detail in either the writing or the screenshots. Often times you would describe an engagement by just saying that it happened, and I really wanted to hear more about the tactics employed and what exactly happened in the battle. Screen shots also offered very little insight of what was happenning. I wanted to see the entire battle or scene instead of just a few units with no way of seeing where they were or what they were doing.
But like I said, I liked this. So 7.
Also I have a few questions. This game was obviously played online. Where was it played? And is there actually an online community (a good one) for this game? |

Nice report.
I actually wrote a RoN report about a year ago, but I eventually decided not to submit it. The pictures were horrid. I had them uploaded and everything though.
RoN is a pretty fun game, although it can be a bit complex. You did a good job of making things simple and easy. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

This was a good first br but as stated by others a little more polishing would've improved it some.
You had some formatting errors which are annoying to see when reading but don't affect the report too much. Overwritten text and overlapping pictures do make things difficult to see though.
The writing could've used more "oomph". More detailed descriptions, including those that don't directly affect current battles but change things in the long run. How were they able to have overwhelming numbers? Just research upgrades? It looks like that the Russians had a great territory advantage and were pushing the French back.
Here's a 7. |
