Hey nice work!

Reported on a game nobody has reported on... And you also used the report editor, very cool.

Decent length, writing, good pictures

You make the imperial officers sound tough...
Nice job, though!

Great report
personally Im not a fan of "white background, black text", because it always seem very standard and uninspired
so I would give something like 8.5

An excellent contribution for your first report.

I would suggest that you either carefully proofread before posting the next edition; the amount of typoes was distracting. Get a couple of friends to check things over for you next time -- we won't say no if you recruit a couple more regulars to BR.com. Or ask for help in the forum.

Not sure what you're attempting by switching from first-person ("I") to second person ("you") perspective; perhaps just stick with first-person? After all, you're the one allocating the force points and playing through the game.

A fair number of the pictures weren't "exciting", and by that I mean they were snapped after the action ended. Pictures of a Jedi standing in the en garde position over a corpse didn't do it for me. Contrast it with your pics of the sabre pin, the lightning shots, and deflecting a laser hit. See what I mean? Something happening; the pics are interesting.

The way you organised the report made sense. All the introduction stuff at the front so the newbies can bone up, and the veterans don't have to wade through unneccessary explanations. And bravo for introducing a rare game to the site, and rendering it understandable. There are lots of StarWars fans out there, and I've liked all the SW-related stuff I've seen here.

As I said, overall, a great report. And you managed to make me laugh with the remark about how easy it was to make a lightsabre. I'm looking forward to the other two chapters of your series.

Thank you guys for the good reviews. After I posted I figured I'd be happy if it got a 6. There were alot of typoes, and I ever read over it several times, so I may take you up on proofreading it before I post the next one.

the report came out black on white because I don't know how to color stuff with the report manager, it was suppost to be blue background with yellow text, which is like the game menu. perhaps I'll figure it out for parts 2 and 3, I don't really know how to use frames, but I think I can figure it out.

After finishing part 1, I think it is a good idea to write it all in first person, I'm not sure what I was trying to accomplish either, clearly I didn't do it.

Thanks for the tips about the pictures, there were some tecnical issues about image capture that prevented me from getting alot of shots during action, but now that has been remedied (I rebound the screenshot key so it is easyer to hit) so I will try to make future shots more interesting.

thanks for the comments

I've always loved Jedi Academy, although I personally prefer playing on Jedi Knight difficulty (2nd highest), as it makes the game exciting without nerfing your character (Jedi Master you have a max of 50 shield and 50 health). I can't wait to see the next part; Hoth is one of my favourite levels.

Jedi Academy is an interesting game. I had played also. Good job by the way.

First, great report! Second, no no no! Don't make the next report yellow text on blue background! That particular combination makes my eyes water with pain; I find it almost unreadable. Maybe the only worse thing than yellow text on blue background is blue text on yellow background. If I were you (and I'm not) I'd either use white on black, or black on white.

Then again I'm just some random guy, so anyone who knows better feel free to contradict me.

I know white on black or black on white is overused but many reporters do that because at least the report will be readable. That's the important part but I believe Fox has that in mind.

Black on white looks fine. Use a clean font and there's nothing wrong with it. This is perfectly legible.

The rater has spoken.

...kinda creepy. I'm RabidMurloc, you're Rabid Fox... In any case, finally a good report on Jedi Academy. Damned fine game, the later levels are neato... I only have two qualms, one of which was indeed, stick to first person. And second, I noticed a lot of run-on sentences. Bah. Fine report, continue!

Part two is coming along, the writing is nearly done, then the pict editing will go quickly, and the HTML, but those go fast. Collage has begun, and my time has become scarce. I haven't forgotten about the series, just that work is going slow.
