Urr... check your statements again.....

First off, I would like to point out the fact that when one player (Player A) is visioning the observers, and the observers then vision the other player (Player B) It does NOT allow player B to see the cloaked units of player A.
This is ENTIRELY false. Numerous occasions that I got only vision of one player (say A)when I'm observing, I can see the cloak units of another player (whom has not vision me, say B) when they reach the detecting range of A.

As to your second argument, which gets rediculus, that Whoop mentioned the two events in TWO DIFFERENT games. Dropping units before defense is set up on islands is the first game, while Whoop leaving his 3 expansions completely naked is the third game.

As for the argument on ladder win-trading. That was a complete BS. If you want to play ladder against legit players, there are plenty of ppl in NH who had 1300 rating. Also, if you check again, the 2 accounts in the win-trade used toss 90% of the time. I don't think there is a hack that allow a Nexus to lift!

As for the existence of 1.05 map hack, I'm not sure if it exists, but don't being able to find it doesn't imply it doesn't exist. From mouth of other great players (I do mean great players that compete professionally) there IS a functioning map hack that reveal location of units, and another one that reveal location of buildings.

I guess you, Mr. Cochran, is not that great of a defense attorney. All your arguments presents here do NOT reflect a single truth, which can be proven by reviewing the statistics, facts about share vision, and quoting of the original post by Whoop. Give it up.

Level of respect: 85 --> 30 --> 5

I'm going to break with FLS here and actually comment on this report.

Nice samurai theme. Your terran is good not because of the tactics you use, though they kick ass, or because of the resource management, though that is very skilled too, but because of your timing.

#4 Heartcutter (209.185.98.79)[5746]
Absolutely. I would not disagree with that in the least. You build timing into your build order. Your build order and the outcome of combat will tell you when to expand. It's just how it's done.
#5 HunterD (NEW93127183.columbus.rr.com)[5747]
Smooth BR, the Samuri theme was absolute money, and you've got to respect the creator of Deon. I'd like to see a BR of you verse a lurker rushing zerg, I've fought off this off exactly once out of about 7 attempts, and I'd love to see some strategy on how you defend against it.

Anyway, great BR, extremely interesting way of telling the story and great lessons section at the end.

Thanx.

Dancing the storm, "Sometimes it works.... sometimes..." NO SOUP FOR U! ;-) As always, good report.

Godly timing=Map HackeR?! hehe j/k

It's fun reading your report. HeHe no goon soup for u! heh.

#8 GhOsT~LiZarD (1Cust31.tnt4.lorton.va.da.uu.net)[5758]
Great BR, now I have a question. How do u beat a GOOD lurker rush on styx, I killed the first 5 but then I bit it and had to surrender. And yeah great BR again=]
#9 Heartcutter (209.185.98.79)[5766]
I've been thinking about the LR and read a little of what soso did. He set up a situation like this:

BBBTTBBB
BBBTTBBB

2 Bunkers and a turret with range upgrade. I think he had comsat as well. He placed this in his choke. He also used the sided of the map to make sure that lurkers couldn't outrange the detection of the turret. He was able to eventually bust out with the tank action and win the game.

#10 Fractal_Wave (proxy4.gvcl1.bc.home.com)[5768]
Xcellent report, although you stole the Samurai vs. Ninja theme from Agent911's page, you did a far better job with it.
My personal lurka-killing method (at least on Temple) is just that. Hold my choke (either my ramp or my nautural), turbo to sci-vessels & irradiate their lurking @sses.

LOVELY use of the dropships to force the templar 2 storm themselves, but why waste 2 full ships? Just use one with a few troops in it...

What's your opinion of the "Spider Mines Rush" tactic?

"Hell is a big place. Big Enough for me to send his entire army there."
Beautiful. Simply Beautiful.

All the best,

great report heartcutter. it's not often that you can read those lessons and not blow them off as BS or useless dribble. i have alot of respect for your skills, and i'd like to play you sometime just to see how i measure up :] and BP in that first post of urs.....yah trudat

And the heartcutter worshipers gather round to deliver offerings cattle to the altar of deon ;). I personally liked the strategy section more than the br, which really wasn't that long. Good job, but the game just wasn't as exciting as the others. You basically had the game wrapped in your fingers the whole time. Just my 2 cents. (Omni runs away before the mob of heartcutter acolytes gun him down)
#15 [Dreadnaught] (48.milwaukee-01-02rs16rt.wi.dial-access.att.net)[5818]
Samurai is probably the best way I could think of to describe a good Terran player. Toss only players ( I'm gonna piss peeps off I know it)seem haughty...zerg only seem either to be kids or honorless...i have been flamed for using good tactics and tried and true stratiges vs zerg by zerg players more than any. A true terran player has learned humility. You dont start off great and the other races have advantages for beginners (toss are tougher zerg are quick)

I can play all races but I usually choose terran. it makes people wonder...is he good or is he a rookie...what strategy are they gonna use?...Terrans are the wild card...if you can get good with them ,you can literally surprise and bewilder an opponent...and gost~lizard in a reply you had..you said you surrendered...never have I or will I...even if I have no chance. I will run my scv all over to get away...I have won games that way..i have seen your BR and know that you are a good player..but I will never surrender...i wish they would let you kamakazie your buildings I always try : ) das v danya all

#16 .Praetor (cache1.cwo.com)[5829]
I want to be an acolyte of Heartcutter =) I don't mind sacrificing things to Deon =)

As for Dreadnaught, I agree. When I play Terran A) I just can't get it together, my base layout is crap, I never have the right units, etc.... or B) I roll over their lazy asses like nobody's business.

On the other hand, the Zerg are my wild card race. I NEVER know what I'm going to do with them, from mass lings to QueensDefilers and air. Done the ultra a few times.... What I really want to do once, is clone-lockdown a carrier fleet. I've clone-broodlinged a golaith squad, but never a carrier fleet =)

I don't use cloning...yet. That would make me really dangerous. But my record for locking down a toss fleet was 11 of the 12 carriers. Man, I hate it when they stack. But I got 'em and cleaned em up with marines.
#18 YourRoleModel (relay.atinc.com)[5856]
To either Heartcutter or Mark4. I understand that after winning a large battle, or fighting off a large offensive, you might want to expand or counterattack.

I do have a problem with timing though. Sometimes, if I would have waited another minute for a double drop force, my drop would work better. Other times, I feel that if I had attacked one minute sooner, my attack would have been effective.

On island maps where it's not always easy to scout everywhere, sometimes I get out expanded early, yet when I expand early, I am often hit by a buildup force out of one enemy base. I guess I've been pretty successful in public games, and my non ladder record is all basically open invitation one vs one games. Still, compared to the players that hang around nohunters, I'm lacking. Any solid timing tips? Or is it all based on instinct and practice?
#19 Ash (209.110.158.1)[5858]
Heartcutter, for many days I have longed for word of your exploits in vain. At last, my prayers are answered. Your Ch'i is strong, and your Ka is focused, and so your warriors are invincible. As a mentor of terran you are unmatched (Johnny_Vegas could give you a run for your money, but I haven't seen him write any reports lately). As an initiate of the Order of Ass-Kicking Terrans, I humbly beg you to submit many more such reports, that all of us who are your students may learn and grow stronger.
#20 Heartcutter (office-228.x.beyond.com)[5888]
Answer to YRM's question.

It all comes down to recon. This is where you win or lose. Here are my recon vehicles:

1. Deon. Invaluable. He's usually peon 11-14, depending on the map. He'll usually find the enemy.

2. Comsat*. When I get my first expansion, I build a comsat on it immediately. I'll keep dibs on his production facilities, which will usually tell me what to build.
I'll even use comsat vs. a dedicated DT player because I need to know where his build is at.

3. Lone Wraith. He'll take care of informing me of new expansions to drop, any dropships en route to my base, and shuttle interdiction.

4. Marine camping. This happens when I roughly 3/3 marines. I'll send a single marine to a patch. If they turn something up, I'll send in the horde. Otherwise they just sit there, drinking beer (and fishing, where available)
#21 Mark4 (strangers.bragg.army.mil)[5889]
Whoa ash. Haven't you heard? Johnny=god. And Johnny, here's a little quote for you. "When someone asks you if you're a god, you say YES!"

YRM. You can go on instinct, and probably will later in the game. But in the start if you recon well you'll see the enemy strat and can time to the exact second when to attack. Like if you see a terran going wall in to tech, you know that you'll have 1200/300 of ground troops and 400 of transportation at 9:00 and if he goes double factory he'll have 900/100 so then would be a good time to attack. (not a real example, just a thought process).
#22 Omnipresent (catvnet-116-96.catvnet.com)[5928]
Omg heartcutter you could start a cult if the world were full of people like ash ;-<. What is ka and ch'i?? Does sc have some sort of brainwashing effect if you see an actual decent terran? ;)

Plenty of respect for your report. No ass-kissing worship, but praise and respect. It was the best use of a theme I've ever seen in that it didn't detract from the report and get silly. You spelled kamikaze wrong.
