Well this is my first Battle Report here so this is one of the more recent games I remembered and liked :). Also some might know me for my cartoony Battle Reports on the WGL, but stupid me I deleted all the ss's for this game ;[ My future reports here will have more of my style. Now it was a 2on2 in which I did end up losing, but boy never had so much fun losing ;]
-Players/Map-
Me Lipton@(9 oclock) and Apex-x(12 oclock) vs Pillars(3 oclock) and PEPE!(6 oclock) on The Lost Temple.
I randomed and got Terran and my friend Apex(first game together) randomed and drew Protoss. PEPE randomed and got Terran while Pillars as usual choose Toss. I choose to do the standard Marine rush while Apex told me he was going to DT rush(looking back I should have advised againts it) I tried to offensive bunker in PEPE at first, but it was a big mistake as my SCV was shot down and then my marines which were fewer in number to PEPE's. Back at my main I started making multiple factories cause I was planning on going heavy metal and at Apex's main he was getting dbl rushed by Pillars and PEPE, but he managed to hold it off, barely. I continued to make vultures, tanks and putting down a starport(out of instinct) The 2nd dbl rush came from Pillars and PEPE which I knew was gonna kill him and what I had could save him, but at too high a cost to myself and those resources would be best spent on countering. I just told Apex sorry and he replied with a standard "Gay!"
I instead sent my 8 marines to Pillars base while loading up 4 vultures in a dropship. My 8 marines met up with only 2 of Pillars zealots back at his main. I killed the 2 zealots but then proceeded to cause little damage cause newly produced goons took out the unupgraded marines. With the vultures that I had loaded up back at home I dropped them in PEPES base and cause some major havock. I must have killed 10 plus SCV's and laid some mines near his barracks. I did not want to lose my vultures to PEPEs returning marines since it was 2on1 now and I needed every unit. Oh btw Apex is just watching right now due to the kindness of our adversaries. I had expanded to my natural as did Pills and PEPE. My next plan was to load up 3 dropships and try to hurt Pillars main. I saw Pills sending some goons to the base were Apex use to be so I carefully guided the drops closer and closer to the mainland of Pillars. He spotted it with goons and chased my drops away but I just landed outside and made my tanks(2) siege up and took my vultures(8) and sent them to Pills natural. To my suprise and enjoyment I found a Nexus with a dozen plus probes and proceeded to kill them all :). Apex told me to go to PEPES base with the vultures and so I did but ran them right into marines on PEPE's ramp(should have watched over them...could have taken out PEPES' SCV's at his natural. After I lost the 8 original vultures I dropped 4 more vultures back into PEPES main and chased away his SCV's again! And back at Pillars I loaded up the 2 tanks and stuck them onto the main land(they took out a goon but then died) While all was going on Pills and PEPE did attack my bases with mass mm and Goons but I had 12 plus tanks with a attack upgrade and they just owned everything in sight. I knew then as my tanks blew away the last marine and sent the last goon running that I this was my only chance I had to push hard and fast, both of their economies were hurting and I just depleted their standing armies. So I took all my tanks and a few scvs to make turrents and began a huge tank push, which drove back attack major goon attack. At my main I had 5 factories going with 2 armories making more tanks and Goliath’s now. PEPE did have a wraith fleet but with only 1 comsat and a handful of Gols I beat it off. I found PEPE trying to get his 2nd natural base I and blew it all to hell. Now the tides of battle were at the balance point were any wrong moves and 1 side would lose momentum forever. My tanks were badly hurt but instead of bringing them back nearer to home and joining them with many many more tanks and Gols I left them there trying to kill everything. Pillars then moved in for the kill with a new goons army backed by many a templar. My valiant tanks were stormed to hell and finished up by the goons. Apex said out loud "brown lost all his tanks" I wanted to slap him for that but keeped playing on :) I sent a CC up to the top left island to get a 4th base at that time Pillars came in with mass goons and taking out my tanks that were on the move to outside my base and also PEPE attacked my tanks and Gols with more wraiths killing alot of them. Pillars with the deadly storm took out even more of my tanks and then my ex-ally said "nice storm" I replied with a "thanks for the support ;[" anyways I finally in the end beat even that massive attack off, but it came with a price as I had lost alot of tanks(which I did rebuild back) and also lost my 2nd natural CC and natural CC and was only going off my island base. I could have gone on a bit longer but opted for a graceful gg.
note: I am kinda tired right now and did delete all the ss's pertaining to this report, but I assure everyone my next report will rival the ones I have made on the WGL site.
