"Psyonic_Reaver: It's getting harder for me to sleep as Blizzcon approaches. I wonder if this is what waiting for your wedding night feels like... The feeling of finally being able to get laid. That is how I feel right now.
Mattzarella: For your sake I hope you don't blurt out 'For Aiur!' the first time you have sex."

(the great tactic is toward the bottom)

this report is my third battle via modem and i hope you enjoy reading it, it should be better than the last

the battle started with me and my ally vs. two orcs and 1 human. We were on one of my scenarios called invasion.

the purple orcs started on the eastern landmass, the blue orcs started on the northern land mass, and the orange humans started on the southern landmass. I started on the south-western part of the mainland (I was the white human)
My ally was the black human and he started on the center of the mainland.

I started with my 5 peasants by sending one to build a town hall, one to build a barracks, and the others built farms.
(I start with a lot of supplies). When the farms were finished i sent them to wait by the nearly completed town hall. Suddenly the barracks finished so I started to pound out footmen. I got three out and ran out of gold. BING town halls done.

I sent all my peasants to harvest gold and kept pounding peasants out until I had quite a few. i then built another barracks and started pounding out footmen until i had 9 i sent them to scout and they found the orange human. I built more farms a lumber mill and some farms. I then made a large number of peasants and then footmen to attack the orange base. It was a slaughter They were relying on towers to protect them i lost 5 footmen to thier small army before killing them all. I expanded to thier goldmine because it was isolated. I upgraded to keep.
i built a barracks
i built a bunch of towers
i built a stable
i built a inventor
i built a smith
i built a lot of ballistas, knights, footmen, and archers to defend my base when i got the message

it was my ally.

HELP im bieng attackd (hes not a good speller)

i sent about 10 knights which disposed of the blue ogres attacking his base. he lost a lot of buildings but with my help he got back on his feet. i upgraded to castle. i sent my workers at the expansion to all harvest the large patch of trees that grew near there.

i built a mage tower and mages
i built a church and made paladins
i built a gryphon aviary i had a lot of extra gold at this time.
i built some farms at my expansion.

i Just realized I FORGOT TO UPGRADE i rushed to upgrade.

the purple orcs attacked but ballisas made short work of thier ogres=easy. i used my holy vision spells to scout the area. I found that my ally was at keep the purple orcs were upgrading to fortress, and the blue orcs which were subject to hit and run tactics from my ally were at stronghold.

i finished upgrading all but my mages. i made demo squads and more mages followed by a few gryphons.

I was ready to make a major attack. I sent some injured footsoldiers to reinforce my defences at my expansion. I sent a giant number of soldiers to the purple fortress which waited patiently at the unsuspecting orcs front door. I added more soldiers at my base and sent a mage to the soldiers now at level 6. I replaced the mage and visioned the enemy base most of his troops were at the bottom where i was. i sent two more mages and replaced them. I sent the first two mages to mage bomb the large collection of ogres waiting at the bottom; it worked perfectly i sent an invisible mage to blizzard the peon line. cut off from supplies and without many troops. my enemy sent his remaining peons to the blue base while i launched my forces for an all out assault. The enemy died quickly since he just gave up and moved away.

THAT WAS A MAJOR VICTORY

i recalled my troops. most of them were barely damaged. i healed them and placed them to defend my base but sent others to my allys base to see how he was doing and to reinforce his weak ranks. I had a major force of troops now but with the giant fortress now of the blue orcs with a very small purple base were now sitting up there i thought they must have an expansion.

i found it it was a temple of the damned, a bunch of death knights, and two great halls one blue and one purple sitting almost undefended. To the east.

i pounced on it with a barrage of exorcism spells which slaughtered the death knights followed by a razing of their base.

i built a tower at all the gold mines to find out if they try to make more expansions.

THEN THEY CAME

The largest army of ogres orcs axethrowers catapults and deathknights ive ever seen came down and attacked my ally.

Yet another HELP message came across the screen.

i sent a large number of troops to my ally

it was a costly victory however my ally was all but destroyed he had a few scatters of farms and a burning castle along with a few other buildings in poor condition.

i instructed him to send all his remaining peasants to my expansion where he could set up shop safely.

However he would not be much of a help for the rest of the battle he had a town hall and a barracks and some farms but pretty much gave up.

THEN I TURNED THE TIDE OF THE BATTLE

i sent all my forces except the mages to his front door and my ally contributed some footmen and then some archers. i sent three mages and a peasant to the left of his base where they had no forces.

THE TACTIC

I sent my peasant to find a good target then i found it the perfect target. 7 farms in a line with no defences. i sent my peasant to make a tower and sent him back to his the mages. i made one mage go to the limit of his blizzard range from the tower. i upgraded the tower to guard. My opponent thinking it was a major attack sent all his forces except a few to attack i blizzarded the ogres massing by the tower the tower and the mage were lost but not before i took them down to a few ogres. when the ogres went for the mage i made the other mage cast blizzard on him that killed a lot of troops and lured them away from my base while the final mage ran away. i sent in my forces which destroyed the almost all the buildings before being forced to retreat to the base because of the large amount of guard towers. i sent in my mages which blizzarded the enemy until he was no more.
THE BATTLE WAS WON

LESSONS LEARNED

1. if you have an ally have him keep enemy forces away from you while you tech up.
2. massive numbers of troops can take out most situations.
3. kill the death knights if you can with invisible exorcism tactics.
4. take out expansions before they get well defended
5. always scout the enemy progress.
6. set up towers to give warning of an enemy invasion
7. a combined force can deal with most situations
