BATTLE REPORT:

PepaG~(RFR) vs -HB-PoSeR[BU]/~Q~NooM[BU]

To begin the New Years I went to parties and stuff then decided to go online, I see PepaG online so I ask him to go on b-net and play some games.

Just like any other day on bnet me and PepaG~(RFR) would hang around and play a few games and if nothing much was going down in our channel we would go elsewhere to scout for action. We found it in the BU clan channel. To my suprise PepaG~(RFR) jokingly challenged the 2 BU members that were there to a 2v1 match and much to our surprise they accepted. Not wanting to be left out of the action I asked if I could observe and maybe even write a Battle Report. After some tough arguing about my lag they decided to let me in.

As the match started and after all players gave me shared vision I saw that PepaG~(RFR) had spawned zerg at topleft, while his opponents -HB-PoSeR[BU] and ~Q~NooM[BU] had spawned zerg at topright and toss at bottomleft respectively.

PepaG~(RFR) started off with a second hatchery at his natural then a pool and pumped drones. When his second hatch finished he put down 2 sunkens next to it and started an extractor at both bases. -HB-PoSeR[BU] went pool, extractor, hatch at main, then started putting up sunkens. ~Q~NooM[BU] went for 2 gateways then assimilator.

It wasnt long until the combined scouting efforts of -HB-PoSeR[BU] and ~Q~NooM[BU] revealed that PepaG~(RFR) had expanded early and, as a result, may be vulnerable. Soon 4zealots and 8lings were parked just out of reach of PepaG~(RFR)'s sunkens. They charged in and met with 2sunkens and about 20lings. The invading lings were torn apart by double their number in defending lings backed up by 2 sunkens, the zeals seeing this backed off and reatreated to the safety of high ground at the ramp outside PepaG~(RFR)'s natural.

~Q~NooM[BU] did a good job of containing PepaG~(RFR) just to his natural. ~Q~NooM[BU] expanded to his natural while -HB-PoSeR[BU] was more aggressive and decided to expand twice, at his natural and at the mineral only spot at 9o'clock. PepaG~(RFR) had teched up to a greater spire and was now morphing guardians. He decided to send about a halfdozen Mutas south to deal some damage to his protoss opponent before he had any substantial anti-air and maybe even knock him out of the game. On his way he happened upon -HB-PoSeR[BU]'s unfinished hatchery at 9 o'clock and began ravaging it.

Eventually it got cancelled and the drone was killed also. PepaG~(RFR) flew past ~Q~NooM[BU]'s natural expansion and into his main to see what key buildings he had and therefore determine what kind of threat he posed. The mutas ran into 4 dragoons and PepaG~(RFR) was feeling confident that he could eliminate this resistance and continue killing off ~Q~NooM[BU]'s base.

But just then a corsair warped in and this was enough to persuade PepaG~(RFR) to retreat his mutas only managing to kill 1dragoon. While this was happening PepaG~(RFR) used freshly morphed guardians to slaughter the containing zeals unleashing 30~50 lings to wreak havoc on ~Q~NooM[BU]'s base. Lings, mutas, guardians and devourers tore down ~Q~NooM[BU]'s natural expansion, easily overpowering the few zeals, goons and lone cannon defending it.

Next to go down was the main toss base. The lings came in wave after wave and razed the toss structures in no time. About a half dozen corsairs fought valiantly to save their base but were soon slaughtered by the many devourers and mutas constantly arriving on the scene. -HB-PoSeR[BU], in desperation sent over 20 scourge to help save ~Q~NooM[BU] from elimination but unfortunately they could do little against PepaG~(RFR)'s swarms of lings. Desperate to see out the rest of the game ~Q~NooM[BU] hides a pylon at the bottomright start spot and also deep inside -HB-PoSeR[BU]'s main base.

-HB-PoSeR[BU]'s natural expansion was up and running and started a hatchery building at the bottomright natural and was now upgrading to a greater spire.

To protect the weak in heart and the old I will not post the pictures of the bloody massecre that happened in ~Q~NooM[BU]'s base. I will leave it to your mind, so you can imagine the horror and fear in the eyes of the probes as their nexus burns down into vapor....
