Game Original Starcraft

Map: Big Game Hunters-2 vs. 2

It was a friend of mine (brd_bighurt) and I (Black_Dragon_) verse 2 random people.  Our opponents were zerg (middle left) and toss (bottom right).  My friend was toss (top right) and I was terran (bottom left). Well the game was going with out Incident for a while my friend was going all carriers (he Is an ultra newbie) and I was going all marines and tanks.

Well, Its a couple of minutes Into the game an nothing but a few attacks by our toss opponent on my friend has happened, so I said ok I'll start this thing off... so I loaded up 6 dropships of marines and 2 with tanks and I go up that peninsula of the middle left where zerg Is and drop right on his mineral line.  He was completely owned by the marines and wasn't able to get anything out.  He never saw It coming and he was dead within seconds, when just then my friend messages "help?" and I respond "no... I'm fine". and he quickly replies, "NO YOU IDIOT ME HELP ME!"  So I look up at his base and he's getting owned, so I group up my marines and the 3 tanks from the drop, and send them to help (all of my round units are at this point fully upgraded), only to realize that the protoss player has taken control over the middle of the map and the Is expanding diagonally across the map.  I end up losing everything to his 4 reavers, 3 temps and a grip of goons. I am extremely worried because, that was the largest section of my army, and couldn't get up there to help my friend.

So I told my friend to load up all his probes into a dropship and bring them to me.  I scanned the route he was to take to avoid the enemy, but for some reason he thought It better to fly Into the wall of cannons.  So he gets taken out all but 1 pylon and 2 cannons at the bottom of his base, which apparently toss didn't see, because he leaves them then comes and attacks me with everything he has: 6 carriers 5 scouts 7 zealots an 10 goons.  Well thank God I had a lot of tanks and marines so I held off his attack and was really getting worried because I didn't know what to do, all my ground units were fully upgraded so I said ok I'm sticking with the ground, and going to out mass him.  I started making marines like crazy out of 3 barracks then had 2 factories pumping out goliaths for a while, then one on goliaths and the other tanks mean time having 2 starports pumping out wraiths which were upgrading.

He attacks me again, but this time I take him out big time and started advancing, assuming that he had attacked me with everything.  He had expanded to the bottom middle so I took my troops down there and took it out. The came back to the middle and took out his expansion there.  Figuring that I had the upper hand, I continued down to his main, where half of my army was killed off due to the other half being put into stasis.  I was really lucky and was able to get reinforcements there right as they came out so I started to push him back.  I then messaged out loud "can anyone say 'Normandy?' "  I continued to scan around to find out that he had created another expansion middle right, and top middle.  I met little resistance taking out the middle right base.  However, I discovered that he had cannoned himself in to allow him to have 3 bases, top middle, top left, and the land that joins the 2.  While waiting for my tanks to get there I sent up about 11 wraiths up the left side to take out his probes and slow him down, only to find out he had another expansion middle left.  This I took out without too much trouble, and proceeded to take out the top left base.  My tanks finally got to the cannons and it was all over.  And my friend and I got a win.

The only advice I can think of by playing this is to never give up.  And never give your enemy time to breath.  Once you start attacking, sustain the attack for as long as you can.  Also, if I were better at micro managing, EMP would have been a lifesaver.
