All the units have the same blood left. Who will win?
If your answer is "Carrier", you are wrong.
OK,I got an opponent named Hell, with a 42-7 record. we played on Dire Sraits, my favourite island map. I chose Protoss(Red), as well as Hell(Teal). I got the top-right island, he got the top-left.
The islands of Dire Straits did not fool me. I did not waste my time to scout with a Probe. I built a Pylon, an Assimilator, a Gateway and a Cybernetics Core in quick succession. This was followed by other "Producer" buildings. I prepared to take an offensive step as I produced two fierce Dragoons.
Just after my first Shuttle finishes, I saw a teal-coloured Shuttle. I commanded my Draggons to attack it. Wierdly, Hell dropped a SINGLE Dragoon on my isle while I finished off the Shuttle. At the same time, without Hell noticing, I filled that Shuttle with four Probes and a Dragoon and flew the transport to the small island below me.
Next, I began with Observers but I did not find anything noteworthy other than his main base, of course.
A minute later, Hell made a risky move to create an expansion in between my main base and his main base. He dared me to attack but did not even gave me time to consider. He shortly backs his dare by unloading 8 Dragoons to protect this fragile base.(All this in the eye of an Observer!) I brought two Shuttles packed with Reavers to this new enemy expansion. One Shuttle got killed even before unloading and the other one barely escaped.
Hell now discovers my expansion but his Shuttles and observers were driven off by a strong battery of Cannons. He decided to attack my main base by dropping 4 Shuttles full of Dragoons to my island. Luckily, 3 of my Zealots and 4 Dragoons teamed up to fend off this expected attack. 4 Reavers also responds to the call of battle and began firing Dung Beetles. The attacking Dragoons were rapidly destroyed, but I could see his Shuttle head back to his base. Probably bringing more Dragoons.
I began to construct a Nexus at the bottom-centre of the battlefield. This was a huge mistake, I soon realized, as the Shuttles that fled flew past the half-warped Nexus. 8 Dragoons were unloaded and they left nothing behind.
While the Dragoons wasted their time I proceded to drop 4 Reavers at Hell's main base. These Reavers destroyed quite a number of Dragoons and one or two Templars before his defenders finally bring them down.
Hell's chances were looking slim when I unloaded a mass of Zealots, Dragoons and Reavers. the group was so huge that my Shuttles took two trips to fully transport them.
With my host now gathered I began to push forward to Hell's main base. The massive ground firepower of the Reavers decimates a Stargate and many Dragoon warriors. Only an intelligient placement of a few nearby Templars and the return of his Shuttled Draggon force manages to turn the tide.
This conflict gives me time to return to the once destroyed bottom-middle base and build anew, but this time several Zealots and Dragoons are stationed nearby to serve as protectors. While I was building up in one place for another push, I was also being torn down in another when a lone Templar drops behind the minerals at my first expansion and Psionic Storms several probes into oblivion.
This action enters a lull for me to rebuild my attack groups. I continued to make massive Reavers with Dragoons to support them.
The pause in the action is broken when I brought over five Shuttles to Hell's base loaded for bear. The six Dragoons and four Reavers that emerge engage the defenses and once more Dragoons and Psionic Storm tear in to my attackers. With the attackers better spread out by me and now less susceptible to the power of Psionic Storm, this attack will not be so easily stopped, you know. Additional reinforcements also begin arriving by Shuttle to aid in the attack. The Dragoons and Templar defenders are simply overrun by the destructive power of the Reaver, with Carriers faring a little better but still unable to stop the advance.
This brutal attack crushes the defenders and levels the base in short order with my commanding as many as nine Reavers onto the battlefield in this critical powerplay. With nothing left of Hell's main base but ash and blue Protoss blood, I still has five Reavers left on this now battle scarred island.
I began to search the map more thouroughly with Observers. I found a lone Probe warping something at a resource nude so I dropped two Zealots and began the slaughter. At the same time, I began to unload Reavers and Dragoons onto all his expansions.
Despite his name, I found out that Hell was an optimist.
He fended off my attack with almost 7 Carriers per expansion. 80 per cent of my Reavers and Dragoons got killed by the deadly Interceptors and I really couldn't believe it. Still, knowing that a siege against the base must eventually occur to claim victory, I began to produce Carriers of my own.
His Carriers and their waves of Interceptors appear to halt the advance of the remaining attacking ground force until six of my own Carriers arrive on the scene as well. After Hell's Carriers are destroyed, he realizes he can no longer possibly win this battle and concedes this meeting to his Protoss rival.
