Welcome to my second battlereport!
After some crappy first battlereport under the name Prime-8 I decided to do a new one! Yeeha!
Well I can tell u my micro skills have been upgraded to 1-0-0 this time, so lets get ready to rumble!
The eager search for a game
After I hadn’t spent two weeks on battle.net due to severe lag I decided to look for a really good game. With my radio on, with the great song “Notorious” from our good old Notorious BIG, I got inspired to get started. But then it happened…………
A celebrity…. Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Lopez?
No, it was our own man Pillars. Yep that’s right! Pillars. I checked out his stats. He had played a ton of games and his previous season rating was 1546. Couldn’t miss. So I ask him for a 1on1. And ofcourse he doesn’t respond to a 1020 player who hates ladder cuz it’s so slow. I watch him leave and he’s gone into a game. Pill was the name. So I ask him if I can observ. Pill // pill ! Yeah, great! I can watch a pro play! (actually I am a pro too, ask [9]NTT, he’s a real good friend of mine NOT!).
So I am in the chatroom……….
I see four players: Pillars, =abs=slayer another =abs=dude and me doh :P
Well, I choose ran to obsurf and the game starts with Pillars as protoss in the 6 o clock position and =abs=slayer as random zerg in the screwed position of 12 o clock on the best map ever : Lost temple.
Get ready, hang on, here we go!
The opening
Ofcourse I mess up in the beginning asking where to fly my cc too. Where I must place my scv’s is a riddle too…. Not playing too long isn’t good defenitly.
Slayer starts off with this build I think:

Pillars starts off with this:
pylon gate pylon assimilator pylon core pylon robotics to reavers
First contact
Pillars starts the action as he sends his first zealots away to see if he can crush his opponent early. Ofcourse, being the ass that I am, I forgot my scvs and they run into the zealot attacking it. Pillars didn’t have a chance against Slayers lings that were up, but I wanna apologize for that anywayz. Well lets get back.
Slayer however has been saving up larvae and has his lings up and a sunken to counterattack.
After some short but frantic hatching he has a zergling horde ready to go. He maynards drones to his expansion, while Pillars retreats his 3 zeals to the ramp to defend and he also has one goon. He does not have time to properly let them hold position on the ramp to defend against the ~16 ling assault.
But now Pillars pulls of some slick micro on his ramp. He attacks the first zerglings coming up the ramp, kills them with one zeal, then retreats it and sends in another one on the front and then lets them hold position. Slayer retreats knowing that he cannot gain any advantage now.
Pillars has completed his shuttle and robotics bay and sends over a load of reavers. However, Slayer has already teched up to hydras and with some slick micro Pillards loses his forces to Slayers while losing everything he has and Slayer only losing a few lings and hydras. Failed assault. Pillars makes some lame comment that he sucks :P !
Slayer has a solid ammount of drones and sends over a group of lings and hydras to Pillars second natural. Pillars expands to his natural and positions his new reavers to defend this precious investment along with a few zeals and goons. Slayer choses to expand two times, to 12 o clocks second natural and 3 o clocks second natural.
Intermezzo
My father comes in with some lame comment that I should do my homework!

Expanding time
Pillars adds 4 more gateways and gets gas while teching up to templar. His ultimate goal is reaver/goon/templar. In the meanwhile, Slayer has teched up to mutas, knowing that Pillars has shuttles and that he could expand to islands very easily.
Pillars makes some dark templars and adds a second forge and stargate. He scouts with his first corsairs and kills an overlord. This scouting didn’t prove in vain, as he found two new expansion attempts to the 3 o clock plateau. In go the dark templars to destroy the foul zerg hatchery and its repulsive creep. The second attempt fails when Slayer quickly sends in overlords and mutas to protect his investment.
Pillars has expanded to the lower right island and Slayer finds it with a lot of mutas. Too bad Pillars didn’t have anything there. In the meanwhile Slayer is expanding three times again to the complete 9 o clock plateau. Pillars doesn’t like the attack on his expand and drives off the mutas with corsairs and a templar brought in with a shuttle which fires a storm at the muta. Pillars holds on.
However, I am thinking that he might me in serious trouble. He has two expansions, to Slayers 7. Pillars decides this is the time to strike. He brings in a large force of templars, goons, reavers, dark templars, zealots and a few archons to first push away the force outside his second natural and proceeds to build his third expansion. After its up, he strikes!
The action heats up to very very hot
He moves everything to 9 o clocks second natural and he quickly razes the expansion with half of his men cuz only two sunkens are defending. But with his large influx of resources, Slayer attacks with his large force of zerglings and hydras, now upgraded with adrenal glands. They find heavy resistence from the other half group Pillars has stationed to defend his attack. 3 Reavers, 3 templars and half a control group of goons fire away at the toss strike force but they are no match for the psionic storm attacks and reaver scarabs. His force is left with one reaver, two templars and three goons. The other group proceeds on to demolish and completely slaughter the natural of 9 o clock.
What can Slayer do about it? He has the perfect response as he morphs into about 8 sunkens at 9 o clocks main plateau and Pillars is forced to retreat. Pillars builds another two expansions over the creep that has gone away and doesn’t build a defense there. After continuously pumping out goons and templars from his gates he has stationed a large force of goons and templars in the middle of the map and another control group of goons and templars and one reaver near the 9 o clock main base.
His plan is to use the reaver to kill the sunkens first then walk in. Let’s see what happens!
Insane micro
Knowing that he has some good micro I watch him unload the reaver near the sunkens, kills one and then directly walks into the field of sunkens. What a slick micro! He just walks them into the sunkens, kewl! I didn’t know the strategy yet, but I saw the potential of it!
Well I didn’t actually after I realized he had lost his reaver :P! He walks in his group but they are no match for the sunkens there.
Well, Slayer hasn’t been idle and has been constantly producing men out of his continously added hatches and he has upgraded to greater spire. Guardians are now destroying the natural of Pillars.
The bloody end…………
And while these two attacks were going on, Slayer sent his entire force to attack Pillars men in the middle and through a titanic fight, Slayers massive amount of resources gave him such a large numer of men that they overran Pillars forces in the middle of the map.
Slayer proceeds to kill the newly built expansions Pillars had just created without defenses and easily destroys them.
As the force continues to Pillars 6 o clock second natural, Pillars realises that this game has come to an end, with Slayer operating on 7 resource nodes to his 3, and he honourably surrenders.
Everyone offers their gg’s and I left the exciting game!

Well, I am back in the clan –x17 channel. Pillars plays another rematch game I think, where I am not allowed to watch, so I find another one of my earlier mentioned friends, [9]NTT.
Actually, hes from the same country as I am, The Netherlands. The best country not to mention. Well, I greet him and ofcourse, our good relationship makes him respond like this:
“=[[[[[[[[[“ . Oh well, I was this newbie that was always nagging him for a game in the beginning. I heard from on of his old clanmembers that he could bake 50 mutas within 10 minutes. So I wanted to play against him. First game about a year ago, on hunters he made a nydus in my main while he was zerg and me too. He sent in like 40 hydras. As you can imagine, I was newbie then. I never stopped to ask him games, and I think he got a little sick of that :P. Well, I almost beat him on a night where I didn’t know who he was, while [9]eVERLAST was watching. Lost to evr too btw, that sucked. So that’s our relationship. And that’s why he responded like that.
Homework time
After this intense happening, I made my homework, copying all sorts of information out of bookreports to complement my own, hmmmm actually I didn’t have anything up yet :(.
