PepaG~(RFR) and [USA]NovaTech decided to play a friendly 1v1 clan match in channel Clan -X17. Here's what happened...

PepaG~(RFR) chose Zerg and started up at 9:00 while [USA]NovaTech chose Protoss, and started at 3:00. PepaG~(RFR) went for an early 2 hatchery build. One was on his main, one was near the choke point, and one was outside taking the expansion. [USA]NovaTech scouted when the 3rd hatchery was almost done spawning, and he reacted quickly. He sent out a group of 4 early zealots to PepaG~(RFR)'s expansion area, moving them out of sunken range from the sunken colonies built up near the choke point. Here's a before and after screen shot:

PepaG~(RFR) survived this attack simply by hitting his zealots with zerglings (while many more are in spawning process)...when the zealots attacked teh zerlgings, he would simply run the zerglings and the zealots followed the zerglings into sunken range. Even though [USA]NovaTech retreated the zealots back, that didn't stop the zerglings from spawning and hitting him some more.

The players used some time to build up, PepaG~(RFR) quickly getting a lair to upgrade overlord transport, and a Hydralisk den to upgrade lurker ablility. By the time he was done, he had his outside expansion covered nicely with sunkens and zerglings...And [USA]NovaTech had a high templar out with psi storm ability, along with zealots and a few dragoons, plus he got himself an expansion outside his main. PepaG~(RFR) then executed one of the smartest moves you can make as Zerg when playing Protoss on Temple: The early lurker drop near the probes. Check out how he executed the move here.

While the lurkers were doing their damage, PepaG~(RFR) started building heavy on zerglings, hydralisks, and mutalisks all at the same time. He brought them all to the center of the map to group them up, then sent all of them down without giving [USA]NovaTech much time to rebuild. While 3 lurkers (One got stormed to death) were busy taking out [USA]NovaTech's main, PepaG~(RFR) wasted no more time.
