GAME TIME

I decided that it was time to change my identity of starcraft so I booted up my computer and then created a new name, +thrax (catchy isn't it?). Once on battlenet I began to search for a good game. After a few minutes of meaningless perusion, I happened upon an innocent "2v2 Newbies" and joined. When inside we began the usual pre-game ritual, "TVB?, 15 mins no rush, right?" Once the rules were set we began what would soon become a battle of EPIC? proportions.
When my gay G4 finally produced my starting spot, I quicly glanced at the mini-map and suddenly realized the magnitude of this 256 x 256 playing area. I quickly asked the host a few questions concerning the map. I soon found out that the map had only four starting spots, in the four corners, there were no additional expansion sites, as the minerals were not set out cleverly for an unlimited mineral map, and the middle of the map was completely wide open. Despite the pointless map, I began my usual setup in a 15 minute no rush game.
I began with a 17-probe approach, progressing to a line of pylons followed by a line of gateways. My approach was slow, but because of the size of the map I figured an initial attack would not come for a while. I went behind the line of gateways and began the construction of three forges, and a core, all the while harvesting gas. I then warped in two facilities, and observatory, a citadel, two archives, two tribunals, and a stargate. Immediately after I created two observers and sent them on their way.
Looking at my partner's progress I realized the grave danger at hand. He had mentioned in the pre-game babble that his skill was above par, but looking at his setup and types of buildings, not to mention unit selection, I concluded that he pretty much sucked.
Meanwhile my observers had reached their destinations. The first passed easily into yellow's base where it would remain for the rest of the game. The other observer was dispatched by a row of turrets in red's base. Another observer revealed the Terran player's newbie type strat of turtling. Wanting to detect any attack I had brown place his overlords across the middle of the map along with a few of my observers.
While setting up a line of observers I began to build my second line of gateways, as well as upgrades. Soon after came 12 goons and 4 templars. Using my observer in yellow's base I discovered that he was going mainly air, and surprisingly scouts!? He also had approximately 20 lots with faster movement. I decided to keep making goons and in the process an arbiter, for the classic recall.
The game was pretty silent for about 10 mins until I saw a mass of yellow pass my observer. I readied the goons at the entrance and out from the fog emerged 12 lots, who,not being upgraded were easily beaten by my upgraded goons. His initial attack was relatively lame, and so I decided to recal a few goons and templars into his base. As I was moving my arbiter towards the middle of the two upper bases, I saw another yellow mass pass the observers and once again readied my goons. However, these were not lots, but instead scouts, which quicly flew towards my nexus and began to destroy my probes. Not exactly fearing the scout ground attack, despite their full uprades I quicly stormed them and began to rebild my probes.
Brown, during this time had done nothing to help, but had built up a sizeable force of hydras and mutas. I clicked on one the mutas and then on a hyrda and saw that they were not upgraded, and quickly scolded casey for his careless move. At that same point red began his initial attack on brown with unupgraded wraiths, but brown, not knowing how to use overlords to see the wraiths was quicly ripped, causing me to save him with goons. After the attack I explained to casey what he needed to do and then went back to my initial attack on yellow.
My arbiter was right outside his base and I clicked on it, pressed m, clicked on the nexus, and then pressed m and waited over my goon/templar cluster. Sure enough the arbiter arrived over the nexus, slightly touched and the warp of goons began. The goons and templars began to rip apart the probes and enemies, but the arbiter and goons were soon destroyed.
From my glimpse at yellow I realized that the the opportunity was perfect for a major strike. And so, I began to send my goons and templars to the same spot where the arbiter had been and left them there. I kept pumping out men as I waited for brown to finish maxing out. My goons were temporarily terrorized by wraiths until I brought in an observer. The biggest scare came when the screen flashed a "Nuclear Launch Detected" signal. I soon located the flashing dot on one of my goons and moved the force out harms way.
Finally I could no longer wait for brown to finish his buildup and charged into yellow's base. The yellow reavers provided a temporary problem, but the templars took care of them. Yellow tried in vain to defeat the force, but his disuse of psionic storm cost him, allowing me to break through his outer d and rip into the soft underbelly. Soon enough the screen flashed: "{AZ-N}Tec has lef the game."
Now only red was left, and he posed no real threat, as he could only attack with air, not one of Terran's strengths. I maxed out on goons and instructed Brown to specifically build guardians to kill the turrets and tanks. While waiting for him to create the guardians, my goons stationed outside the base were attacked by almost 10 BC's. Oh, NOOOOOOOOOO! Well, a few good storms and relentless goon attack and the pointless BC's were peaced.
The guardians began their long treck upwards and soon arrived outside red's base and began to pound away at the turrets and tanks, as my goons stormed the castle. Red was officially COOKED!

Lessons Learned:

-TEMPLARS RIP
-Never go BC's, they suck
-Never go scouts, ""
-A decent setup is always key to a long game

Thanks for reading my first BR, feel free to give any comments!
