A tryed discription of the game

Lunar has a menu based combat system,I had 4 characters along with me at the time, Alex, (You, Fighter.)Nash, (Anoyying Thunder Mage.) Jessica, (Healer & Fighter.) and Mia (Mild-Mannered Fire & Ice mage.) Alex was lvl 20, with Vigour, Dragon Protection, Swords Dance and Explosion staff.
Jessica was lvl 19, with all sorts of healing stuff. Mia was lvl 19 and had Ice lance, Blizzard, ice armour, power drive and flame circle. Nash was lvl 19 with thunder bomb, and all sorts of useless other spells. The combat system works like this: your first menu has 4 options: tactics, AI, command and run.
Tactics is something you set up in Nall's(Flying cat-like companion of Alex.) menu, which I never use. AI lets the computer do it all for you and wastes your precious mana points on, say, 3 killer flys, so I never use it. Command is the option that lets you do what you want with your guys, I always use this. Run, well, makes all your guys run. The Command menu (the only one you can get out of the first one) makes the first character, you, have all sorts of options: attack, magic, run, AI and item. You tell your character(s) what to do there, then watch them do it against # of monsters.

Here we go! After leveling Alex up in the Nanza pass, i set out twords Vain to fight, -lord help me- the EVIL CRUSTACIAN BOSS!!! {insert horror movie music here} with-not-so-high expectations because of my last... what was it... 12 or so losses to this guy I took the transport and headed to vain!!
I went there and the usual chatter betwine characters came up, and the fight started!! I had Alex use vigour to up his attack power so he could inflict more damage to the foul, drooling beast. {insert more horror movie music here}
Jessica blessed the party with a "recover hp at start of turn until end of combat" spell. Mia blessed Alexs attack power with "Power Drive". Nash "Thunder Bombed" it and did a whopping 19 damage. The Evil Crustation got mad at the small scrap on his shell and poked nash twice with it's horns.
Alex didn't like that and used the famed, {insert hero music here} Swords Dance™! "WOW!" i said out loud when 550 damage poped up on the boss. Jessica whacked at it and dented it's shell with 15 damage. Mia used ice lance and did 37 damage.
Nash used thunder bomb and did 20 damage.

The Crustation got REAL MAD and took it out on poor,poor nash. It barfed. Yes people, barf. It took out nash 1-hit, K.O. (partly to the fact that the horns did 50 to him a couple paragraphs up.) Not a big loes, considering he did 17-20 damage. :)

Well, I kept on sword danceing, ice lanceing and healing for about 5 turns. Then he killed Mia, shooting a laser out of its only eye. Then it barfed on Jessica. I had lost all my other fighters/mages and had only 2 sword dances left.

Well, I thought this about now, "1 sword dance left, 98 health and he's going to poke me. Gonna have to level up MORE!! DANG!!" Then, I sword dance, he pokes me, 12 hp left, he's going to puke on me, the end is nigh. I attack, knowing (or do I...) that it is futil. I attack him, i have 2 swings per attack, he dies on the second attack. "... ... ... YAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! it's done! wow that took an hour. it was fun, if you have a playstation, i HIGHLY suggest you get this game.
