A Half-Life report brought to you by TreBBiT.

This report regards what Half-Life players call "Ping" and SC players call "Lag".
Good Ping is considered to be approimatly 120-280 and Bad Ping would be 300 and up. The best pings are usually people with T-3 or better connections with a ping of 60 or lower. To SC players Good would be 2 Green and Bad would be 4 yellow through 6 red. T-3 on SC would be 1 Green.

Unlike SC, Half-Life is highly affected by ping. In SC, if one person lags all people lag. In Half-Life, if 1 person lags, just they lag and they appear to stop to people who aren't lagging making them just sitting ducks.

Today's report is about a "Bad Pinger" or HPB vs. a "Good Pinger" or LPB. The common HPB aquires double his kills in deaths. I my self am an HPB and when ever I have 20 kills I have 30+ deaths. The common LPB aquires just the opposite.

My Story: It started playing on a server called "Neuro's Micro$oft Clan Server". I was playing 6 vs.6 and I was on top of the list with the most kills on my team. This guy joined with like 75 ping and I knew I had no chance. The next round started and I bought an AWP, or Arctic Warfare Partillary. Its a heavy duty sniper rifle. It kills in 1 shot regardless. I killed 3 people and my team took out the rest except the LPB. He rushed throught and killed every one on my team but me. I turned around and saw him coming at me with a knife.

In fear I jumped to my feet and tried to run from the blood lusting LPB. He jumped at me wielding his deadly weapon and knocked me against the head. I turned around to kill him with a pistol and he was gone. For 30 seconds I wondered where he could have gone. I walked forward slowly and there I saw the blood of one of my team mates who had died. I noticed no gun was dropped there. I stepped behind the corner and found him crouching with my ex-team mates weapon in hand.

The fire was intense but I took the last bullet and fell. I cried out loud but with no living team mates I was bound to perish. I did get even with him the next round but no one of that team will ever forget my loss to that famous LPB.

Todays Lesson:
1. Never let an LPB trick you.
2. Buy a T-3 and kill the other LPBs.
3. Buy me a T-3 so I can kill you.
4. HPB's camp no matter what they tell you.
5. HPB's never rush into close combat, fight from a distance.
6. LPB's stay away from me.

Thanks,
