We started out asking for a 3v3, and after about 5 minutes of searching we gave up on the idea. :~:Scorpion:~:. started advertising a 1v1, and me and :~:Melk:~:. would watch. A couple of newbies accepted, but were beaten back with a cardboard pole(wooden one wasnt available at the time =\). Eventually Castanza. accepted the challenge, and after a brief conversation(too boring to mention) we made the game on lost temple. After waiting a minute or so for everyone to join we started the game.

:~:Melk:~:. set the speed to "Extra High Latency" and after getting a spading from all 3 of us, we changed it to high. Castanza. started off protoss at 3, and :~:Scorpion:~:. started off also protoss at the 12 start. Castanza. scouted anti clockwise and found :~:Scorpion:~:. on his 2nd atempt. Castanza. sent his valiant probe into :~:Scorpion:~:.'s probe line only to be gang raped by 6 probes, and only acomplishing a puff of blue smoke, which soon dissapeared. While this was happening, :~:Scorpion:~:. had found Castanza. and proceded to scout his base out. After his probe almost shat his pants at the site of a zealot, the probe put a warp beacon down for the doods to warp him in an assimilator and get his ass the hell out of there.

After sending his zealot to romp over the assimilator, :~:Scorpion:~:. thought it wise to save his money and canceled the structure. Castanza. quickly reclaimed his gas and put an assimilator down and started making some zealots to help defend the base. :~:Scorpion:~:. then decided he would send out some of his homies to do some damage, with the rest of them too lazy to walk across the map, 3 of them were sent out against their will. By the time the zealots arived Castanza. had 5 zealots of his own and proceded to try thwart the enemy advance. After retreating for a second, :~:Scorpion:~:. reingaged the enemy, after some micro, :~:Scorpion:~:. ran the remaining zealots back from the ramp.

Castanza. had made a cybernetics core and then a citedel of adun with a forge, while :~:Scorpion:~:. had a cyber core with citedal of adun but had opted for an extra gate to increase troop production. :~:Scorpion:~:. now had a force of 6 zealots waiting outside Castanza.'s base, and Castanza. sent out 5 zealots of his own, with a dragoon to boot. After a small skirmish, :~:Scorpion:~:. ran his troops back till Castanza. stoped following and moved his forces back to just outside Castanza.'s natural. :~:Scorpion:~:. proceeded to make a pylon as Castanza. took his natural.

:~:Scorpion:~:. has been busy at home as 3 dark wusses have poped out of his gateways and are headed for Castanza.'s base. Castanza. notices :~:Scorpion:~:.'s forces outside his base and sends his troops to attack, but not long after he does, the dark templar arrive and force the troops to run back to the choke to reveal the 3 little sneaks. The 1 cannon was quickly destroyed and more of :~:Scorpion:~:.'s troops arived, the dragoons retreated again as Scorpion's dark templar proceded to trash anything that wasnt covered by cannons.A couple of blurs sudenly start to attack :~:Scorpion:~:.'s 3 dragoons as they start attacking Castanza.'s own 3 dragoons.

Castanza. finaly visions me and 4 dark templar start to trash :~:Scorpion:~:.'s own 3 temps. :~:Scorpion:~:. has used this attack as a good opertunity to claim his natural an quickly pipes in a few cannons to cover a dt attack. :~:Scorpion:~:. has razed Castanza.'s base, taking out a cybernetics core, gate, forge and citadel of adun before Castanza. is able to get an observer to chase :~:Scorpion:~:.'s dts away. Castanza. starts to rebuild his base and makes a suport bay for some reavers, aswell as the cyber core and gateway he lost.

Remember that pylon :~:Scorpion:~:. made outside Castanza.'s base? well it managed to pick up 2 probes, one heading in the 3 main direction, and the other one heading to the 9 main, :~:Scorpion:~:. wastes no time and quickly sends his templar out to the 3 main and destroys the nexus warping in. :~:Scorpion:~:. then procedes to send his templars to the 9 main. He finds minimal resistance except for a pylon, which is easily destroyed.

Castanza. porcedes to send his own templar to the expansion, with an observer to spot :~:Scorpion:~:.'s templar. :~:Scorpion:~:. tries to run his templar out of the expansion, but Castanza. has left 2 of his templars blocking the choke, and procedes to hunt down :~:Scorpion:~:.'s 3 templar. During the templar hunting season, Castanza. has fortified his choke with 2 cannons and a number of dragoons, and has begun construction of reavers. :~:Scorpion:~:. has managed to tech to observers/reavers aswell and sends out his forces to attack. Along the way he discovers 3 of Castanza.'s templars and disposes of them.

During this Castanza. has sent another probe out to try take the 9 main again. :~:Scorpion:~:.'s forces make their way to the bottom of the ramp, 4 dragoons, 11 zealots and 3 dark templar, compared with Castanza.'s 4 dragoons, 2 dark templar and 1 reaver. :~:Scorpion:~:.'s troops arive and are attacked by the cannon on the higher ground. The AI immediately makes the troops try make their way up the ramp to kill the ... 3 zealots are killed without a single loss from Castanza. except a heavily . After a brief pause to move pics, the battle continues.

The cannon is quickly demolished by dragoons as the scarabs are pounding on the melee troops coming up the ramp. :~:Scorpion:~:. now sends his zealots after the reaver but Castanza. picks it up after its shields are demolished. The troops try to kill off the cannon and 3 remaining dragoons, as the reaver comes out of the shuttle to spread some lovin. :~:Scorpion:~:. is able to kill off 1 of the 3 dragoons with his remaining 4 dragoons before sucumbing to the scarabs and pot shots from dragoons.

Castanza. sends out 2 dragoons to try to FINALY destroy that pylon, but is chased away by 3 zealots. :~:Scorpion:~:. quickly has a mob of rowdy zealots and a loner dragoon at his pylon, as Castanza. has purchased another 2 or so reavers. :~:Scorpion:~:. has also decided to buy some shuttles and floats them out to his troops at the pylon. Castanza. decides to use his 3 reavers, and drops them outside the pylon where a lone zealot has strayed from the group, luckly for him :~:Scorpion:~:. is able to pick him up in the shuttle before the reavers lob anything at him. Castanza. decides to send his 3 reavers over to his 9 expainsion, as the rest of :~:Scorpion:~:.'s troops arive to try demolish the lucky place.

5 dragoons start picking on 2 poor little probes, and the reavers get pissed and start lobing scarabs at :~:Scorpion:~:.'s troops. Castanza. runs his reavers away from the blood thirsty zealots and goons pounding on their shuttles. The zealots and goons decide to become a wrecking crew and smash the nexus into tiny little pieces. Castanza. tries to destroy :~:Scorpion:~:.'s beloved pylon, but decides to pick the reaver up and focus on the drop of troops from the 9 to his base. Castanza. is able to kill off most of the forces with 4 goons and reavers only loosing 2 goons in the process. Just at this point, b.net decides to stop the game, but luckily we had just saved it.

After about 5-10 minutes we were able to resume the game just as a big force of troops was walking to Castanza.'s base, with some fat blokes to help punch a hole in Castanza.'s troops. Castanza. moved his reaver and 2 goons to try keep :~:Scorpion:~:. at bay. After some more reaver micro from Castanza. he managed to kill of most of the zealots as the fat blokes arived. Castanza.'s goons were decimated before the templar got to fire off a storm, as the reaver was picked up and ran back. Castanza. had used one of his shuttles to try take the bottom island, but was spoted by :~:Scorpion:~:.'s observers and he droped 2 goons to finish it off. :~:Scorpion:~:. made his way up the ramp and proceded to trash the outlying buildings. The reaver was under fire so was shuttled back again as :~:Scorpion:~:. decided to use his templar to kick some peon ass.

After their energy was used up :~:Scorpion:~:. combined them to make an archon. Castanza. desperatly tried to warp in some cannons to save himself but the invading forces easily destroyed them. GGs were exchanged as :~:Scorpion:~:. demolished what was left of Castanza.'s base. The end score pretty much tells why :~:Scorpion:~:. won.
