(This is gonna be long if you don't feel like reading look at the TURNINIG POINT: section, Also I tried fixing it but my grammer tends to be whorish) We had two watchers and they have a few screen shotz but I was unable to get a hold of them today. I don't really know my opponents build order but I do know what he did. So here it goes:

Well a friend who had recently dissappeared decided to come back. Aparently he had found a couple other games to play, but had decided to return to BW and to our Clan.

He played a few games and then asked us to play 1on1 I took him up on his challenge. The Map was a LT modified with watchers (two other clan members).

Beginning:
Haven chose Toss Pooky (opponent) warped in at 12
Me being random like usual got the recent dark cloud* i've been having and was "blessed" with Terran at 6. :(

*Out of near 20 public LT games I've played recently random has ='d Terran over 10 times.

Action:
Well assuming he would do zealots like most once he found out I was Terran I built a Depo at 8 SCV's one spot above the CC so I had a reserved spot for my bunker. Remembering a Terran trick (bunkers fire farther downward then in any other direction) I knew my mineral line was safe from Zealot assaults I finished the barracks next to the depo on the right side and built a bunker under the depo placing two rines inside. Then building a Academy to the left of the bunker to block it in. I then decided to be prepared for a few other things. I built a Engineering bay under my vespene gyser in case of goons trying to harrass my mineral line (it fits perfectly). Also two depos to the left of my minerals (one along side minerals one slightly above and left of it, snug next to one another) incase of reavers the scarabs have to dance around the depos to the tank that would soon be there. Right as I began the first depo adjacent to the minerals I started 2 factories. At this time 8 or 9 z'lots come in luckily I had made a few firebatts (I academy asap for comsat ability) and that helped the bunker live. Seeing my bunker was being repair and was hard to get to he tried to go out of range and kill the factories/depos. Both factories had just finished so I lifted them off and the 1 depo I could care less about. Once under the CC he tried to kill the SCV's but always being fired upon by the bunker was not helping him. He finally lost all his men after getting 2-3 scv's and slowing me down(i retreated scv's out until the zealots were in less number then used them to attack the remaining few.

Leaving me alone I saw him Building his 3rd gateway and a cybernetics core then a robotics factory by this time I had 4 tanks and 3 I kept for defenses, I also had several firebatts and 2 medics. I decide i'll try to hurt him a little by hitting his ramp I already had a Engineering bay near him. Apparently being at a bad time my tanks ran into goons and zealots outside my base which he was preparing to attack with, I sacrificed all the batts for the freedom of the tanks and retreated them to the cliff then I saw him running his men down the valley between 6 and 9 I knew already he was planning to shuttle a few trips of men into my base I had already prepared for that by having a Starport in the bottom left of my base as well as a few depos making it a maze for him to drop into and then tanks would hurt him. Well he called me on this and dropped a few z'lots next to some tanks and the other tanks fired giving a healthy dosage of friendly fire. Seeing this to be his plan I unsieged all tanks he then dropped a single zealot into my mineral line hoping I would blast my own men to hell. (A good trick)

After that attack I decided to go offensive I had to do something I had 8 tanks 6 batts and 2 medsI shuttled into his base comsatting all his secrets out of him. I found he'd walled his main entrance with stargates. He'd only produced 2-3 scouts so I sent a 2 wraiths (no cloak the wraiths were made just then anyway)with the drop as well as 4 marines to the cliff under the drop to be lifted as soon as other troops were dropped. Well Apparently right as I attacked 3 more scouts had just finished my tanks and batts succeeded in killing all his remaining minerals and his ground forces and then dieing to the scouts, the wraiths not helping much.

TURNING POINT:

Well I knew he'd seen my base sorely lacking anti-air. So I decided the only way to win now (which it at the time looked like there was NO way) was to control his minerals considering scouts being 300-150 I comsatted and found a weak exp at 3 with 1 obsrvr and an exp at 12 natural another exp at top left island nearly outta minerals so I could care less about it. I decided 3 oclock was the target by this time my main had ran out of minerals. I had a CC at my Natural w/gas and was trying to turn the tides of the battle before getting my economy too strong (I only had one exp at one of my naturals). I had probably around 12-16 Goliaths, 10 Marines + a few medics, 5 Wraiths and alotta SCV'S from my mains mineral patch. I decided to use his ego against him. I scanned all of 3 o'clocks territory and found only 1 observer directly over the nexus. I sent all my men over to the left of 3s land. and built 3 turrets then sent 9 of my mains scv's (the others were sent to the expansions minerals) into the mineral line of 3 saying "well I only got enough for one last psycho assault" knowing he'd think HA hes dead i'll smack this assault down then own him. He sent his force DIRECTLY for 3 O'clock. I was hoping he would click attack then forget tending to his expansions or his upgrades at this point one watcher said "You devil" His scouts ran directly into the brigade of my men he saw it though and pulled, out several were injured one dead (Scouts). Then for some reason KNOWING I had what he should have been able to guess was my entire force he went to top right above the 3 position and came downward into the 3 o'clock. The assault lasted a little while, luckily I did have some medics and goliaths weren't being shot instead his scouts targetted the rines which was a lucky break. Then he sent in his reienforcements directly over the turrets (he must not have seen the turrets) I killed the main attack force then gathered and ran left to his new batch. Him seeing hed not been attacking my men but had only killed 3 turrets he pulled out... The picture included is a simple picture of the fallen battle ground SCVs and all (I was a little to busy to take screen shots). So in one BIG trick I evened it all up, he lost almost ALL his men and an EXP so I decided not to let up. I hit his 12 o clock natural, killing it aswell. Then he did a good job of defending his mains ramp with the scouts so I retreated, to my defenseless base ;D. After satting some more and finding he had no more mineral income I decided to play around I tanked his top left island making him divert men there. I find he had sairs .... dweb :(.

The Final Battles:

Fighting several battle of goliaths versus d-web and scouts I finally angered him enough to attack me at the same time however I had planned and executed taking all my goliaths to the left bottom cliff of his main and shuttle them 8 by 8 (2 shuttles left from the tank drop) onto his land. As I start to attack So did he, we were attacking one anothers mains both with no resistance, at my main I begin making goliaths at the farthest Factory, then marines, medics, and turrets hoping it might hold him. He sees the closest turrets building and attacks so I run home with my attack force. Once my main assault force gets there his scouts are destroyed until he's down to 4-5 (he then leaves) and I start expanding. I make 4 factories and pump goliaths and one last sensor sweep of all exp tell me hes all out of minerals. I start to hit his main he thinks all my men are attacking him again. He hits me again to find out I have two fleets of 12 goliaths one for Defense the other for Offense. HE allies and quesions how I was making money then speeds his scouts through my base finding my natural. GG's are exchanged and he leaves. Somehow I win a game I should have lost allot sooner.

Possibities:

Had he stayed all ground would my tank drop had killed him? Or had I researched cloak could to recently made cloaked Wraiths defeat 5-6 scouts. (He Had no obsrvrs till right before the ambush assault on the 3 oclock base. (I did try cloaked Wraith attack right when his first observers were porduced.)

Had he attacked my main when I hit his expansion he'd won easily.

The whole trick was telling him I was out of minerals and that I had no use for those SCV's. Making him think it was a last ditch weak attack. Making him run right into a huge ambush losing all his army and leveling the playing field.

I realize it was a cheap way to win, and that it wasn't really an attack or anything incredible BUT it was the only thing I could think of that could kill his scouts (He had near 20 easily with speed and certain upgrades). There was No way Wraiths could have done it (The trick of cloaked Wraiths killing the observers was tried and failed)

Well i've played as Terran vs a Toss many times and it all about countering. You have to know what they have to make up for the strength difference. I always try for science vessels and EMP to cancel d-webs and psi. However there are almost ALWAYS ways to level the playing field to where you can stand a decent chance. I hope you enjoyed this incredibley long probably terribley written. Non-glamerous Battle Report I just wanted to share a few things.
