Woah, who would've figured, Dialtone_ with another br out! And it uses tahoma text! And it wont kill your modem's wheel mouse from exaustion!*gasp* It's not even larger than 2 megabytes! What can i say? It's scarier than the Blair Witch Project, and more interactive than the hamsterdance. It's a 1v1 on Lost Temple!
I was looking for a game to report last night, when i noticed SlingsNArrows seting up a game with Corbalt. I quicly whispered Slings about letting me obs and a few minutes later i was in the pre game chat waiting for the match to start. Ok, so i just joined their game uninvited and demand to watch, i just look like a much better manner observer asking to obs:).
Corbalt started with fairly common build against a zerg adversary, with a pylon near his ramp and 2 Gateways when he had the cash. Slings on the other side, after being annoyed by his opponent's scout probe was forced to stray off the usual fast expansion on ZvP games, begun morphing a spawning pool after his second Overlord was done. Corbalt tried to stop Slings from taking his natural by placing the probe at the ramp but Sling just used two drones, one to keep the probe occupied while the other was morphing into a hatchery on the low ground near the ramp, where sunkens could protect the natural and stop zealots from just running up the ramp and into the zerg main.
Back to the game, both players moved their forces for the first blood at the same time,Slings with 8 zerlings, and Corbalt with 4 zealots and a probe for the +1 atack. (1 zealot and a probe will kill a zerling with 1 less shot for the theorycraft impaired).
The lings where forced to retreat under the overwhelming odds, back to the zerg choke where a sunken colony was just morphing. 4 more zerling that had just hatched assisted the lings and the Protoss commander pulled back his forces.

A few minutes of uneventfull build-up of forces passed before then next atack. Corbalt again descides to test his zealot forces against the sunkens and lings as he fist gathers and the atacks with 8 zealots. Slings has pulls a trick i've seen him do almost in every one of his zerg games, sending a small squad of 6 zerlings to the south-west of his choke, where they would be out of sight of atacking forces. Then, when the zealots atacked they were trapped between zerlings and sunkens, with only choice to fight until the last one. Slings even brought the drones from his expansion to fight but in the end they werent needed and only 2 zealots left with their lives.
During the fight at Sling's choke both players advanced one way or another. Slings adding a hatchery and a sunken to his choke blockade, effectively "walling in" against any more mass zealot atacks. Corbalt on the other hand has a cyber core, and managed to pop an overlord that Slings forgot he was still hovering over the Protoss camp.
The offensive move once again was taken by Corbalt, atacking with 5 zealots and a dragoon this time, with minimum effectiveness due to the weird zerg wallin. The only casualties for the zerg where a couple of zerlings, while the Protoss lost 4 of the zealots before retreating the rest.
Quiet build-up again, as both players know they cant do anything now. Corbalt picking the templar tech tree and starting the atack research, as well as grabing his natural and defending with a couple of cannons. Slings grabs the gas node in his natural, is upgrading ranged atacks and carpace from dual chambers and is gathering hydralisks and zerlings.
Finnaly Slings breaks the silence, gathering about 24 hydras and atacking Corbalt's forces, a handfull of dragoons, zealots and 3 high templars that he had near his ramp. The fight was over quite fast, with storm winning the day and Corbalt losing only 5 dragoons, and killing more that 20 hydralisks.
Slings, not giving up on the atack yet sends a second force of hyralisks. The atack didnt have much chance to spill some blood, facing same number of dragoons and storm, but Slings was lucky as a couple of strayed off hydralisks found a just finished expansion at the Protoss second natural. With another wave of hydralisks Slings atackes the protoss chokepoint with increased chances this time, since the templars there where short on psi. Corbalt did get a pretty good storm killing two of his own goons, witch i suppose makes it even better. :) The atack also gave a few lings and hydras the time needed to bring down the new Protoss expansion to the west. The few hydras are soon creamed by Archons and dragoons but the damage was already done.
Slings attempts to expand to the 9 o'clock first and second natural but his hathery is discovered about half way to completion by a zealot Corbalt had patroling nearby. Slings takes the chance to let the expansion finish and sends a few hydras there to kill the zealot. Not all of them make it though since a patroling dark templar managed to cut down a few before making it to the expansion and receive cloack detection from a nearby Overlord. A few seconds later though Corbalt's archon/goon/zealot armies descided to join the party, much to the dismay of the defending hydras. Slings aborts the still morphing expansion to the west and leaves the base to die. Amidst all the fighting over the zerg expansion Corbalt also managed to make a 2 templar drop killing almost a dozen drones mining the zerg main while at the same time starts a Nexus at the 9 o'clock main.
Slings takes initiative now, and starts droping hydralisks in random places to make the Protoss storms less effective. First a few hydras atack the ramp, while a few seconds later 2 hydras drop in the middle of the worker line in the protoss natural and a couple more in the bulding cluster near the protoss main's ramp. Corbalt is forced to evacuate the natural until his goons arive to kill the hydras, witch leaves him with no minerlas or gas income for a few seconds. This atack didnt hurt Corbalt as much as the second wave of hydras, all from the front door this time. With Corbalt having his dragoons spread to kill the random drops the hydras find little resistance this time, and proceed to obliterate the Protoss natural.
This was the turning point of the battle. Corbalt is left with no income or probes, and his nexus at 9 o'clock has just been discovered by an Overlord. Corbalt makes a last brave stand near his ramp with his last dragoons, templar and archon, but high ground alone was not enough to stop the increasing hydra armies and his base was soon run over.
