The
game started normally with Fester building an early hatchery at
his ramp while 7th-Carni went for gas after his first gateway before
getting an early cybernetics core. Placing his zealots on his ramp
was not efficient enough to stop an early speed upgraded zergling rush
from Fester. Impressive micro from Fester meant that he was able to
cause a little damage to 7th-Carni's base before his puny force was
eradicated.

|
Just
as 7th-Carni was recuperating, Fester sent in another speed zergling rush
attempting to finish 7th-Carni off early. 7th-Carni, however, had
learnt from the previous attack and had completed his cannon with
devastating results. |

|

|
|
What
preceded was a contest to see who could tech the fastest with Fester
teching to mutalisks and 7th-Carni teching to speed zealots, and
ultimately templar. Fester had
the advantage having expanded to his natural and the middle bottom base's
natural so Fester got the mutas first. He deployed them cunningly to
do some damage to 7th-Carni's main base playing a game of hit and run. With only a few dragoons,
7th-Carni was only just able to hold off the rush and then proceeded to
destroy Fester's second expansion with his speed zealots. This was the first of two attacks
from 7th-Carni which caused upsets among the viewers as no scouting was
evident in 7th-Canri destroying either of Fester's expansions.
Fester continued with
his mutalisk attacks and did some real damage to 7th-Carni's expansion
before 7th-Carni exerted some authority with 0-0-1 upgraded dragoons.

 |
|
Admitting
temporary defeat, Fester continued with his master plan and expanded to
the bottom center main and natural as well as the left middle main and
natural. Then came the second of 7th-Carni's miracle attacks as he
destroyed two more of Fester's expansions, again with no apparent
scouting. The dismay of this was enough for both the other observers
to leave is disgust.
Unseen by anyone, was
Fester quietly destroying 7th-Carni's expansion with his mutalisks.
Having realized that something must be done against these guerilla
attacks, 7th-Carni mastered the art of storming. So effective was
this tactic that the majority of Fester's attacks were destroyed before
they got to 7th-Carni's fighters.

Obviously
having been annoyed by 7th-Carni's attacks on his expansions, Fester
proceeded so set up sunken colonies to protect his expansions. The
sunkens, however, were no match for the elite fighting force created by
7th-Carni. |
|

It
took eleven sunken colonies at Fester's other expansion to deter
7th-Carni's ravenous attacks.
Realizing
that 7th-Carni had a vast superiority over him with upgrades of 1-0-3, Fester built
three evolution chambers at his third main base and began to upgrade his
wide range of units. Noticeably, Fester also built a ultralisk den
at his third natural expansion.
7th-Carni was not
stopping though. Having unsuccessfully attacked Fester's natural
expansion with melee units twice, he tried using dragoons and templar with
a devastating result. Luck was on Fester's side as 7th-Carni was
unaware of his 25+ hatcheries which quickly remedied 7th-Carni's force.
The game suddenly took a
turn of events as 7th-Canri showed his clicking abilities by simultaneously
building cannons above two of Fester's expansions and expanding to both
islands. This screenshot show the expansions with Fester in orange
and 7th-Carni in brown.

|
The
day was won by Fester with an attack which proved mass units overcome
superior tactics, using ultralisks and zerglings, but mostly hydralisks which proved
to overcome the dragoons, zealots and templar which 7th-Carni had.
These shots are the final battle which 7th-Carni left soon after. |
|
|
|
|
The
match was well played by Fester more than 7th-Carni, with Fester showing
the expanding authority of Zerg. Fester chose the match up with
himself as Zerg and 7th-Carni as Protoss (Carni's worst race) and being
able to see the resources available to Fester and 7th-Carni, Fester should
have won a lot earlier than he did. 7th-Carni played well to hold
off Fester as long as he did and was unlucky the match went the other way. |
