Welcome to the first (and probably only)
SuckyNewbie:P
report. This report was done as a favor to LuckyNewbie:P, in return for his being
my partner in a 2v2. Of course, LuckyNewbie:P disconnected, but I won 1v2 anyway :-).
Before we get into the game, lets have some preliminaries with the "-uckyNewbie:P Family"!
Here is a short segment on a 5v1 comp stomp game we had, and then where we also turned against the
only non-uckyNewbie:P involved, Conti's. With me were LuckyNewbie:P,
@uckynewbie:P, and YuckyNewbie:P. Enjoy! (By the way, we made only peons)
And here's @uckyNewbie:P getting owned by my 4scv rush.
Now, I present:
Build Orders
Frost!^^: Hatchery at expansion, spawning pool, another hatchery at expansion, creep colony, creep colony
Audity-x: Pylon, Gateway, Gateway, Pylon, Pylon, Assimilator, Pylon, Cybernetics Core
The Snafu's get it On
Audity-x strikes 1st, sending 5 zealots trekking across the map to Frost!^^'s expansion, defended by
12 zerglings and two sunkens. The zerglings move out and engage the zealots at the mineral only.
After losing four of their number, they retreat to the sunkens, which are positioned behind
the two hatcheries at Frost!^^'s natural expansion. The zealots wisely decide against striking this
kind of defense, and retreat to Audity-x's base.
Frost!^^'s zerglings begin to follow, but Frost!^^ order's
them back before they even get halfway across the map. They are redirected to an area north of the
center, but under the 12 o'clock base.
Meanwhile, Audity-x adds a Citadel of Adun and Templar Archives, while Frost!^^ finally
starts his extractor. Frost!^^ follows up with a hydralisk den and a Hatchery on top of his
ramp, whereas Audity-x adds a stargate and starts a nexus at his natural.
Snafu, take Two
Audity-x again begins a trek to Frost!^^'s base, this time with nine zealots and three dragoons.
On the way, they are discovered by a scouting zergling. Frost!^^ sends eight zerglings to engage
the group, but they are killed with no losses. Frost!^^ also sends his original 12 zerglings, idling
in the middle on a counter to Audity-x's base and begins morphing a lair and pumping hydralisks.
Chaos ensues...
To summarize, both sides are beaten back, and Frost!^^ discovers Audity-x's Corsairs and DT.
What the heck is a Snafu?
After the battle, Audity-x adds a forge at his expansion and Frost!^^ makes a sunken on his cliff.
Audity-x also goes overlord raping.
All of the sudden, both sides decide to move out. They meet in the center for a gigantic battle.
Audity-x now drops four more gates and expands to the 12 o'clock natural. Frost!^^ again moves
out with a force of mainly hydralisks. Audity-x's forces move out to intercept them. What Audity-x
doesn't know is that Frost!^^ has lurkers, and he has no observers. What Frost!^^ doesn't know is
that Audity-x has a couple of giggling, A.D.D. High Templar. They commence to lay the smackdown
on the hydralisks and then storm one of the lurkers to death.
Snafus Anonymous
Frost!^^ expands to his mineral only and again moves a hydralisk/lurker force out to the middle.
He also lays down a pair of evolution chambers. Audity-x, on the other hand, fortifies his 12 natural
expansion with two cannons.
A scouting zergling discovers the expansion, and Frost!^^ moves
to overtake it in full force. Audity-x moves his whole army out to counter it, but finds that he
is still somewhat contained by lurkers. He decides that it is worth the attrition to save
the expansion, and continues on. After destroying the cannons, Frost!^^ focuses his hydralisk fire
on the nexus, ignore the fire of Audity-x's main army, and succeeds in destroying the nexus.
There is some discussion over the cost-effectiveness of that attack, and then Audity-x storms
the remainder of Frost!^^'s Lurkers. Audity-x's observer also arrives on the scene, and he compensates
for the loss of his expansion by expanding to the 12 o'clock main.
Audity-x now moves on Frost!^^'s expansion, held by a few lurkers and sunkens. Frost!^^ moves all his
hydralisks out to engage.
During the battle, Frost!^^ sneaks a single lurker into the 12 o'clock expansion, taking the nexus
down to 250 hp before being dispatched by some dragoons and an observer. Also, Audity-x has been
long-distance mining from 12 o'clock's natural to his main because his main has run dry.
It is worthy to mention that Audity-X currently has +1 attack, while
Frost!^^ has +1 missile attack and +1 carapace.
A Snafu's Swan Song
Frost!^^ again heads out in full force, this time at Audity-x's 12 o'clock main expansion. Here he strikes
gold, and succeeds in terminating the expansion. Audity-x, seeing as he only has one mining base
and discovering a budding Frost!^^ expansion at the 6 o'clock main, concedes.
