I was wading through tons of crap in the public games list when I see "2v2 feared newbies." Hmmm, a bit of a paradox. I'm always looking for worthy opponents so I go in to see what's what. Sitting there waiting for me is Dis-the-Feared and ~green~dragon~.
They say hi, we fail to get a fourth, remake the game. Same setup. One of them says "msg kuv?" I dunno what their talkin about. We banter on for a bit waiting, and in time they think I'm this kuv person, just smurfing (I assume Kuv-the-Feared?) Another guy shows up, I forget his name but he had little effect on the battle. We begin, both Dis and dragon choose Protoss, I choose Zerg, my partner goes random and draws Zerg.
Map: Lost Temple
Tanglebones, Zerg: 12 o'clock
Other guy, Zerg: 9 o'clock
vs
Dis-the-Feared, Toss: 3 o'clock
~green~dragon~, Toss: 6 o'clock
Game begins. I go for 7 pool with the potential for hatch, or mass lings, on 9. Me and my partner are in the sweet spots for spying and shortly an overlord is hovering over each toss base. 1,2 then 3 they each build a gateway. 6 Gateways in under 6 minutes... whack...
Anyways, I figure I'm always sending my first six lings in for the kill and it never quite works out so I hoard some lings at my ramp. One scout comes in, and promptly runs off. After I get about 20 lings I move out for Dis-the-Feared's base and send a probe down to my natural to start a hatch. Attacking while expanding is key.
Anyways, I run my lings up the ramp, take a right, hug the map wall and munch his probe line. No zealots, no cannons...
Dis says not to bother, gg. Dragon gives up as well. I guess they figured that they didn't have a chance against this Kuv guy 2 on 1. I shout "I am not afraid!" before the game ends.
After the battle they set up a similar game and we get to talking. I say, I'm not Kuv. They say come to the feared channel. I say, ok, but I'm not Kuv. They think I'm smurfing. Even after ten minutes of me laughing my ass off, and telling dragon straight up that I'm not Kuv, Dis whispers "Are you Kuv, really?" Was it because I had a low record (5/3/0) but still beat them?
I laughed, I cried. It was high drama.
Anyways, the battle report was nothing, but it was a funny situation. Those Feared guys are wacky.
