-Desert Storm-

-A Sudden Strike Battlereport-

Disclaimer: This is not a StarCraft Battlereport. All who expected that pls leave now. The report also features some pretty pictures, which may cause your modem to throw up. Sue me.

Introduction: The Game "Sudden Strike" is a very famous RTS Game in Europe. It is set in the Second World War, where you play as the Commander of either the Allied Forces, the Russians or the Germans. What makes Sudden Strike different from other RTS Games is, that you can't produce ANY units. You start with a couple and try to conquer "Flags", for which you get reinforcements. This makes Sudden Strike a real intense game, where its all about superior troop management and better positioning. Sudden Strike Games can easily last 3 hours, if no side makes any mistakes.

The Map: "Wild Sands" is a desert terrain 3vs3 Map. This Map, unlike others, is rather open. Therefor you gotta reach your goal through superior positioning, scouting and troop arrangement.

The Players:

Team =-FK-= : Freiherr von Darmstadt, Günni, Der rote Baron

Team SSOSF : Hermann Hoth, Königstiger, Panther

The Game:

Early Game:
It was a hot day in the deserts of Africa. The troops of Team =-FK-= prepared themselves for the all deciding battle. The army of Team SSOSF could be seen with bare eyes now, due to the big cloud of dust and sand that followed them. They could hear the sounds of the tanks chains and the roars of dozens of engines. But the
=-FK-= Generals were prepared. They settled themselves on important tactical terrains, with a routine earned from hundreds of battles. The opponents would be preparing themselves too, so =-FK-= sent several transports to scout the area ahead. Through good use of this scouts, =-FK-= could deny SSOSF any good positioning and had the clear advantage very early. Three important flags could be captured and secured (blue, orange and purple).
SSOSF was impressed by the professional play of =-FK-=, and was going hard on defense now, trying to get =-FK-= to get cocky and go for a mass attack, in which they would have lost a lot of their troops. The =-FK-= Generals, however, were no fools, and went on the defensive themselves, waiting for reinforcements. It was a question of tactical waiting and attacking from out of the defensive now...

-Through better positioning =-FK-= can conquer and secure the middle-

Mid Game:
Through little skirmishes and constand pressure on the enemy, =-FK-= could fight themselves into the opponents terrain. Minute for Minute the claimed more terrain, until they were able to force SSOSF to give up the middle, and claim the most important middle flag (green).
This also ended the defensive for =-FK-=. They kept marching ahead now, using their superior troops to force SSOSF back to the back-area of the map, gaining flag per flag.

-Conquering the red flag-

After lots of skirmishes at all sides of the map, =-FK-= General Freiherr von Darmstadt tried to covince the opponents to give up, but SSOSF would have none of that. They were being pushed back all over the map, though, and =-FK-= was securing every last flag.

-Another flag is about to be captured-

Late Game:
While =-FK-= had been busy conquering every flag on the map, it turned out, that a large contingent of SSOSF troops had regrouped in a palm forest. There it came to the final battle, with large amounts of troops clashing into that forest and all SSOSF had at that moment defending the last amount of space they owned on the map.

With that battle being lost, SSOSF resigned.

WINNER:
TEAM =-FK-=
