I met up with my friend DLExarkun on B'net. He was looking for a 2v2 in Vanilla Starcraft. I made the game on Bridge too Near, a four player map consisting of four large chunks of land conected in the center by a small island and some bridges. Two people joined quickly with decent records, gls were exchanged, and we began.

MikeyMonty (me)-Purple, Zerg(Random), bottom left.
DLExarkun-Brown, Zerg(Random), bottom right.
clark3-Teal, Terran(Random), top right.
KING-OF-CARNAGE, Protoss(Chosen), top left.

I began with a conservative build, figuring a double rush from my opponents. I made an 8 pool, built up drones to mine, made an ol, six lings, and two sunkens. I then sent a drone scouting to the top left and encountered a probe beginning a pylon near my base, which I thought was for an offensive cannoning. It was acompanied by a zealot, but my six zerglings quickly dispatched the zealot and the pylon. I ran them on to his base, hoping he would be light on troops. En route, I encountered a teal scv, revealing the race of my other opponent. I arrived at the protoss' base, who I now knew to be KING-OF-CARNAGE. I ran my zerglings into his probe line and had the drone I had scouted with begin an offensive refinery just for annoyance (he still hadn't gotten gas). I decimated a large portion of his probe line before my lings were defeated by two new zealots fresh from his gates. I noted that he had no forge. Perhaps he was going to set up gates and shield bgatteries at my base for containment with that pylon, I don't know. I had not been idle while attacking and took this oppurtunity to place a second sunken and expand to my natural. I got gas, made 8 more lings and ols where needed, and began a lair, hoping to contain clark3 (Terran) with a squad of mutas. I accumulated a dozen lings and again attacked Carnage. He made a critical mistake at this point. He had two pylons, one in a corner of his base near a warping forge, and the other supporting both his gates and a battery. I had my lings tear down the pylon supporting the gates, ignoring his zealots, and then took out several probes before my ragtag lings were destroyed by his two zealots.
I had whipped up 18 more lings while attacking and sent them into Carnage's base. His Terran ally was attempting to set up a bunker with two marines to help out Carnage, but my lings destroyed that and the marines and zealots ramaining and then went to work on Carnage's base. He gave a gg and surrendered. My ally had not been idle during this time. He had scouted clark3 and burrowed several lings in his base for recon. Since he was facing zerg, clark3 had not constructed any turrets and did not have vessels to spot the lings. DLExar had beaten me to a spire and had hatched a squad of six mutas. I constructed a spire of my own and sent my first three mutas out scouting. I also took this oppurtunity to expand to Carnage's fallen base, which was advantageous since it was the only empty start on a map that was light in minerals. My mutas encountered a CC and barracks being built on an island type expansion (it is really just high ground with no ramp). My mutas killed the scvs building and clark canceled the expansion.
Clark3 must have been getting desperate to make this a one and one, because at this point 24 or so of clark's marines came marching stimmed into my main. but I had upgraded my lings to 1/2 and gotten speed and combined with 3 sunkens my 36 lings were able to handle his 0/0 marines, albeit with heavy casualties. My partner expanded late to his natural and we both went Hive, him for Gaurdians (he was muta heavy at this point and our opponent had started to bunker in) and me for defilers. I built four queens and went and parasited everything in his base that I could, focusing on tanks (so I could see a push coming). An ol I had scouting noticed an expansion in full gear at clark's natural, and feeling stupid for not noticing it earlier I sent in a dozen mutas to handle the problem. Unfortunately, I foolishly didn't notice the dozen marines and four goliaths he had hidden in back of his natural. My mutas were obliterated, but not before I took out all his scvs and a good chunk of his forces. I asked DlExar for help and 10 or so of his mutas and a ol full of hydras flew in and mopped up. DLExar took this opurtunity to expand to the island expansion near clark3's main.
By now my Hive was finished and parasite revealed to me that clark's main was almost dry. I put down 2 defiler mounds to research plague and consume simultaneously and made six defilers. I put down two new hatcheries to bolster the two I already had at my main and began cranking cracklings like there was no tomorrow. My lings now had adrenal glands and were 2/2. DLExar had 2/1 mutas and a greater spire, ready to make gaurds. He had a few token lings, hydras, and defilers as well to assist mine. Clark was getting desperate, knowing the end was coming, and I soon heard the ominous sound of tanks sieging up and bunkers loading near my natural. I scourged the dropships that were fying away, darkswarmed everything in sight, had my defilers snack on some lings. I then plagued for good meeasure and my cracklings finished up quickly. I only lost some drones and a sunken to the attack. DLExar and I assembled our forces outside Clark's heavily bunkered and tanked in base. I darkswarmed everything liberally, broodlinged tanks with my now six queens, and ran in the cracklings. DLExar held back while morphing half his mutas into gaurds. My cracklings took out almost all clark3's bunkers and tanks, but the 72 lings were killed by some firebats and the few remaining tanks before they could totally wreck clark3's base. I told DLExar to move in and he wiped out the remaining marines, a few gols, and the last of clark3's buildings with his relentless gaurdians. Good games were exchanged all around, and the victory screen popped up.

Lessons learned
-Know you can win before you commit your forces. If I had sufficiently reconned clark3's natural before sending my mutas into that deathtrap of marines and gols I could have asked DLExar for help from the outset or supported my attack better.
-Resource starvation is still one of the best ways to win
-As always, defilers rule.
-Unfortunately, stimmed marines wreck mutas.
-Offensive cannoning or shield batteries can really set you back if it fails. If Carnage hadn't tried to contain me so early he could have repelled my rushes.

I think that's essentially how everything happened, although DLExar may have suffered some small attacks I didn't notice.

Semi-Invincible cracklings - WooHoo!

My Queen hunts for any stray tanks that could harm my precious cracklings.

DLExar puts the finishing touches on a fun game.

The final tally.
