However in this particular battle, both have sufficient need to ally to fight off the encroaching humans.
Another one of my 2vs2, I as always playing the undead while my ally commanded the vicious orcs. This quick but bloodied conflict was fought in southern Azeroth in the map swamp of sorrows, near the site of the dark portal. My damned army began in the top left with my ally top centre, and my enemies in the bottom left and centre.
From the beginning I went as I usually do, my command of the cult of the damned raising a crypt and graveyard in quick succesion and mining while my ghoul and remaining acolytes commenced their duties. As soon as three more of the damned stood ready I began an Altar of Darkness as well as two ziggurats and started a few more ghouls. The orcs began in a similar manner with a war mill and barracks along with 2 orc burrows constructing, while training more peons. I intended to sacrifice my loyal alcolytes and prepare an efficient scouting program.
As soon as Lord Nightsorrow and his rotting undead warhorse at last were summoned from the pits of what could only be known as hell to the common human, he and seven of his ghoul minions set off to expand the plague of the blight. The ghouls wielded new prowess of their unholy strength with the Halls of the Dead prepared and were quite ready to match the huge venomous spiders guarding the area. They fell rapidly before Nightsorrows coil of green death and relinquished a tomb of experience which allowed Nightsorrow, along with his current battles hardship, to reach level three and increase the power of his life draining death coil. At the same time, the orcs had prepared shamans and were off with a talented blademaster to squash more EIGHT LEGGED FRIEKS!! The grunts axes rapidly cleaved the opposition and a peon stood by to commence construction of the honoured Great Hall. Meanwhile at my expansion an alcolyte had arrived to prepare a spirit host for the mine and all was looking well with my sacrificial pit building.
However fortunes were whimsical and rapidly turned, a large human host of footman and an archmage began smashing into my towers who threw their dark powers upon the holy warriors. My warriors headed back while my ally teleported in to vanquish the light! The humans were rapidly slain but then I found the attack to be a mere diversion and my expansion crushed! I cursed my luck and moved to retake it which was accomplished easily as the other archmage was dead within seconds of Nightsorrows arrival. At this point both of my newly created shades had arrived in my opponents base and told me of the humans preparations of a massive host of footmen wielding newly forged and powerful weapons. My forces were now completely umped with dark rituals and unholy strength and two temples of the damned, terrible constructions of the damned began to train the dreaded necromancers while a slaughterhouse and diseased crypts began to summon the dreaded foot soldiers of the scourge, the abominations and ghouls. My ally had trained a large cadre of shaman masters and raiders at the same time.
Another attack came aimed at my only current expansion of the plague but my forces were at last readied, an excess of 70 footmen came in wave after wave time and time again my ghouls fell and raised again as skeletal warriors. In one heroic effort and abomination slew both archmages before footmen overwhelmed him. Nightsorrow slew 7 footmen before fleeing nearly dead at the assault. By this time both forces were diminshed by at least half of their original number then the mounted warriors of the orcs charged forward! The humans watched in horror then fled back to their hovels. Pursuing our forces charged in and slew a great many opponents and destroyed an opposing base before at last being stymied by the great host of footmen. Nightsorrow, now at a prowess of seven had used his death pact to regain his former stamina and moved to the front of his ranks of unholy necromancers, diseased abominations and frenzied ghouls. Thro the darkness they rode to finish their oppoents at their final remaining base as the orcs systemically pillaged and burned the expansions of the holy warriors. In a heroic last stand they threw their last few footmen and archmages upon me but fell back before the astounding prowess of my frenzied abominations. Just then the orcs charged in to finish the job and my opponents, seeing the end... simply gave in.
Thus the dead win again!(as if i'd report where i'd lost :P) |
