The Opponents

Liquid`Nazgul: Commonly referred to as Nazgul. He is very good at StarCraft in my opinion and has a solid chance at victory. However, with an opponent like this..... God only knows. His Race is P. He starts at 12.

[GG99]Slayer: Not to be confused with Slayers_`boxer`. He starts at nine. He is also very good at Starcraft. He enjoys the race of Terran, but we all know Terran is a bitch to use...

Well, I'm back once again. And yet again I bring you Starcraft: Broodwar. I might think about bringing a War3 report to you sometime, but with paint, I can't even open the images without it notifying me I don't have enough memory (War3 pictures are 2megs regardless of how I change them ;o.) Anyways, the match up of course is [GG99]Slayer and Liquid`Nazgul.

The Battle Begins
Slayer started at the nine 'o' clock position, well Nazgul started at the twelve 'o' clock position. The two had pretty common builds. Nazgul made a Pylon, Gateway, Assimilator, Cyber Core for of course fast Dragoons. Slayer made a block common to nine start (one depot one racks) and teched to Factory.

After the beginning builds of course comes the scouting. Slayer sent his SCV out which managed to get into the Protoss Stronghold without getting mauled by Dragoons. He made a circle around Nazgul's base seeing his tech, however the SCV didn't know that as soon as he died, Nazgul started a Robotics Facility. Nazgul's Probe on the other hand, made it to the Terran base only to be chased off by 4 Marines guarding the ramp.

Slayer after creating his Factory started work on a Starport in the farthest right corner of his base trying to shield it from the prying eyes of observers if there were to be any. His plan was to obviously drop vultures with mines + speed on to Nazgul, and wreak some havoc.

Nazgul of course is going observers with multiple gateways for support Dragoons. He threw up a Observatory and had obs on Slayer in only a few short minutes and was observing his movements, but as I said the Starport placement threw him off.

Nazgul was getting ready to expand. He at the time had several Dragoons, and about two observers over Slayers Base. Slayer at the time was moving quickly to get his four vultures with Mines and Speed onto a dropship and to Nazgul's base. He sent them in straight from his Starport to Nazgul's ledge, instead of the average right into the mineral patch. This was smart because some people rush Cannons to there mineral line to protect it. Nazgul had almost exactly started moving his Dragoons off his cliff when the Vultures started attacking the Nexus & Probes. He moved his Dragoons back up the cliff and to engage the threat. Although Slayer managed to micro and place some mines he really didn't accomplish much. He got one Dragoon.

Although he only managed to score one Dragoon, Slayer did now notice all of Nazgul's tech. A Citadel, Robo and Obs. He now will get detection well he waits for a good opportunity to strike once again. He macroed a CC creation also. His micro was pretty good (download rep at end of BR :}.)

As Slayer continued to make factories he was obviously waiting for an Expansion to pop up from Nazgul. When he finally scanned one, he knew just what to do... Tank that ledge. And so he set forth to do just that. However, Nazgul still was seeing everything Slayer did. And with an observer over his block ledge, he had what he needed to notice an expo. And so he would ;}.

Slayer moved out fast as he could. He sent his two Tanks in a dropship to the top of Nazgul's cliff. He landed them into zero resistance and quickly sieged up to take out the Nexus. Nazgul's only hope, without a Shuttle was to use his Dragoon's from the bottom of the cliff to attack the Tanks. This is what he did, but it was to no avail. Slayer landed a few Vultures on to bottom of the cliff to lay mines to make sure it didn't happen again either. Nazgul had now lost a expanse giving Slayer an advantage.

Soon after this both players began to tech. Nazgul counter expoed at three's third. He also threw up four more Gateways bringing his total to six. Slayer made three more factories bringing his total to five. Slayer has an expo at his natural and is pulling in a good steady flow of money. Nazgul can see this, but can't do much about it with his mineral restricted diet.

Expansions are of course key to a victory. They are also key for a good game. Though Slayer dominated Nazgul's Expo, the game is far from over. Nazgul counter expoed, and is not remaking his expo at his natural. Slayer is now making an expanse at six's main and is scouting the bottom right island with his Engineering bay. He also is taking his third. Nazgul is just looking for a foothold to regain after his lost expo. He also starts an expo at three's natural.

Slayer moves into harass mode and sends some vultures to harass and probe Nazgul's expo at three's third. He grabs a few probe and then is chased off. He started pushing during this incursion and is now not far away from Nazgul's base.

Showdown Above the Northwest Temple Wall

Now Slayer has been pushing for a few minutes and is now not far from three third. Maybe a tank and a half firing range. However before he made it there, he ran right into Nazgul's forces sitting in-between his third and three's third. About 10 Dragoon's, four-five Zealots, and two Dark Templar. Nazgul wasn't preparing this attack so I'm sure it was a surprise to run into Slayers main force when he checked what "We Are Under Attack", was referring to. However, Nazgul did succeed in pushing Slayer back.

Though the push was forced back aways, you can see that Slayer dropped two tanks just on the cliff above three's third. Slayers plan is quite simple and obvious. Destroy the probe patches at the expanse, and then run away. Quickly and quietly. However Nazgul is still trying his damndest to try to get back on his feet.

After that attack Nazgul counters Slayer to try and disrupt his forces just outside of Slayers third. He is somewhat successful but ultimately falls back after taking numerous casualties.

After Nazgul fell back, Slayer immediately reassumed his push on Nazgul and got back to almost the same exact place. Making the last 2 minutes worth of reporting utterly worthless *sigh...* Anyways now Slayer has an up and running base at six and is working on a factory and refinery as well as setting up defense. Not to long after five tanks sieged on the cliff a shuttle whizzed by and dropped four zealots right on top of them. They took out a few before running off back into there floating crab-like shuttle. Soon after Vultures laid mines all over the entrance to the base to prevent an attack.

Not to long after this Nazgul decides to commit to a full scale attack on six to try and stem the flow of resources flowing to Slayer. He sends his Dragoon Platoon to the temple opening just above six, and plans to drop and attack with his main force at the same time. Unfortunately he is unsuccessful and just retreats quickly after being attacked by mines and Tank shells.

For awhile nothing happened. Then something happened. A stray Archon was attacked by about seven vultures that were freaking out and driving like maniac's on my road that do ninety well honking there horns at one am that wake me up and causes me to go into convulsions about how freakin' stupid people are. Ahem. Anyways, the Archon got pimped and I thought it was important.

Nazgul had just finished up his expo at three's natural, and made had just slapped some Zealots onto the cliff below it. Slayer however felt the need to scan that expo and quickly threw four tanks into two dropships and sent them on there way to cliff it. However to no avail. The tanks were met by four zealots and not to long after a Dragoon and an Archon.

Nazgul now has taken three's main. Slayer is planning on doing this to six's natural. Currently the game is at a standoff. Nazgul is apparently coming back with expanse countering and is now matching Slayers money. However, we all know what happens when Protoss get too much money against a Terran....

Carriers. The anti to Terran right? Maybe.... Maybe not. Whatever it may be, The Terran is still teching ever closer to three's third again. This threat cannot be overlooked. Although it may mean losing that base, time must be bought for that Capital Fleet to arrive from Auir. So, naturally lets throw infantry at them like now-a-days to buy some time. Slayer pushed Nazgul's infantry back, and quickly attacked three's third. though he made a good effort, Nazgul's men pushed him back before the Nexus could be destroyed.

Now that time has been bought the Carriers have arrived and are ready to wreak havoc. Five fresh Carriers move out in a fork like attack and into the Terran push. This causes Slayer to respond by making a few more Starports and start to pump goliaths. The Carriers in the mean time pushed Slayer back to his third.

The Blitz Over Lost Temple

Carriers are weak only when engaged by Cloaked Wraiths, or a badass group from the afore mentioned "Pimp Battalion" of Goliaths. However Wraiths are better overall. Cloak just adds that extra something. So naturally this is what Slayer builds. A group of Wraiths. Who formally push those Carrier bastards right back to there half of the map.

In response the Carriers attack again into the third of nine. This time the Wraith's push the Carriers back again but are a little late, and Slayer loses his third Command Center.

The Carrier were pushed back but soon after Nazgul discovered the floating Command Center over the bottom right island. When he did a Probe was dropped off and started a base. Seconds later a fleet of Interceptors changed that floating piece of shining steel into a balled up heap of rubble.. or maybe vise versa.

The Wraith's showed up again late. Although they took out a Carrier, they were unable to save the expanse. Also they lost the Engineering Bay. I always hate when that shit happens to me T.T

The Wraith's make a very serious mistake and fight a final battle over the Island with the Carrier's to see who will dominate the skies over the Lost Temple. However well they were fighting Shield Batteries warped in and majorly screwed the Wraiths over even though they brought down two more Carriers.

Here Nazgul begins using his ground forces as well. He sends his men into six's third to do some bashing but pulls back after being fired on by tanks. However he's still in reach of the Command Center from there and destroys it with the awesome firepower behind one Dragoon Cannon.

Meanwhile the Carrier Fleet moves north and mops up the top Island where the Terran was getting a lot of his gas. This basically crippled the poor Terran dude because he now is reduced to just two expanses.

A last ditch effort is applied by Slayer to destroy three's natural with Tanks and Gols, but with the utterly awesome power behind the Carriers, there wasn't much of a competition. Slayer lost what was left of his bulk forces... and it seemed as though all was over, even with the help of lockdown.

Nazgul moves south in a lightning counter attack on six, and mops up the end of Slayers resistance even though 3 of his Carriers were locked down the rest were easily enough.

What is now left of Slayer Resistance is in his main. So naturally Nazgul attacked it with his Carriers and dominated what was left. This ended the game for Slayer and he left. What a badass game ;o.

This was the best game I've ever personally reported. I believe that Nazgul is a god : ]. I doubt this will be my last report taken from the Replay Archive of this site because the games are godly. Thanks for Reading and listening to my ranks ;}. Oh, here you go ;}.
