PREWORD
Well hello there people, as you can very well
see, I'm trying to do something pretty unusual here.
Someone might remember I said something about making a
Morrowind BR. Well, after a long time I decided to
actualy do that. I got Bloodmoon (second expansion for
Morrowind), a very cool expansion indeed and almost
immidinetly found material for an awesome "BR".
Actualy, what you will
find here is more of a Morrowind:Bloodmoon fanfic with
pictures. But heck, I hope you still like it as a first
try at BR-ing Bloodmoon. Besides, we've all got bored of
WC3 and its BRs are so damn hard to make good since
report-material games are so few and far between... to
cut the long story short, I hope you will enjoy this one
and I want some comments badly!!!
Knowing some people (some
of them I really respect when it comes to BR-ing) said my
writting style is my biggest problem I tried to change it
to make it more fun and interesting... I hope I did a
good job... after all, you'll get to comment it and tell
me your opinion.
Also, in commentary of my
last BRs I've seen some people asking about my other BRs,
I'll add the links of my other BRs here until I make a
little page of mine where you could find links to all of
them. So here are links to my state-of-the-art BRs (I
won't bother posting the links to my simple beta BRs as
these are too numerous to post here):

BR#2 - GGG!!! (Go God
Gammit!!!) - GOLD

A LITTLE BIT
ABOUT MORROWIND
Okay, I'm quite positive
there are some people who never heard of Morrowind or of
any of its expansions. Its okay, most people who are in
"BR-ing bussiness" play mostly strategy games
(or at least I like to think so) and they don't hear a
lot about RPG games... especialy hybrids of RPG, FPS and
adventure games...
Morrowind is truly the
most perfect RPG game there is, it is set in Elder
Scrolls world (Redguard and some other games were also
set in this universe and lately there's cellphone game
set in this wonderful universe) in a massive island named
Vvfandel. It is literaly huge, bigger then some MMORPG
worlds and gives, IMHO, the best possible single player
experience, over 500 hours of gameplay and literaly
impossible to get old due to the fact there are hundreds
of thousands of mods for Morrowind thanks to Elder
Scrolls Construction Set that comes with the game.
It has two expansions so
far but we certenly hope for more, these are Tribunal and
Bloodmoon (I have both). While Tribunal only brings one
huge city into the gaming world while Bloodmoon
introduces a whole new continent (smaller then the
original Vvfandel of course) called Scrym. A harsh cold
land where this story is set.
Morrowind can be played in
third person or first person. You upgrade your skills the
same way as you do in Ultima Online - by sheer practice!
Every now and then you get a level up which enables you
to upgrade your prime stats (strenght, endurance etc.),
all to have a better and more powerful hero. Classes are
practicaly made by players (you can chose some templates
but making your own "class" can be a lot more
fun and much more customizable).
You gather items, solve
riddles, work the storyline, join great houses, thieves
guilds, guilds of assassins, warrior guilds, barbarian
tribes, religious cults etc. All in all, it makes for a
real powerful game that can be played for a long long
time until finished. At the end, its extremely
brain-easy, not as simple as Diablo, much more subtle and
much more interesting but still simple, in short, it
won't make your head hurt after a few hours of hardcore
puzzle-solving.
What more can I say? Oh,
the game gives you two possibilities if you don't like to
be mere mortal (and there are about 8 races to chose
from, all customizable in hair type and face type and of
course, clothes) you can always become a vampire, a
werewolf (this option came with Bloodmoon) or even
download some mods and become a lich, a death knight, an
amphibious being etc.
Not to mention the fact
you can literaly buy houses, there are mods that allow
you to have your own galleon and sail around with it, get
high on the local drug called scooma, visit strip bars,
buy tamed rats, read tons of books and perform tons of
quests for tons of people. Even if there wasn't an
awesome main storyline in the game it would still be an
extremely long-lasting experience all in itself.
Finaly graphics are
awesome and so are system specs :(... although you can
play it (somewhat slowly thou) on weaker machines...
Okay, now that you're
acquainted with Morrowind we can get to the actual
"report"...
Bedtime
Story
We find ourselves high among dark
clouds.
The cold
wind blowing on us makes it obvious we are above a very
cold and very harsh land. As we slowly levitate lower we
are capable of seeing this land as if on a map, it is
Solthsteim, a cold island northwest of the huge Dark
Elven land of Vvfandel. In this frozen country of
maniacs, barbarians, wild beasts and winds that cut to
the bone, a bloody fest is going to occur soon.
This is
what we came here to see.
As we go
lower our eyes fall upon a warrior walking alone in the
snow. He is wearing a metal armour of local barbarians -
the Nords. However he isn't one of the local Nords - the
Skaal. This we can see almost instantly, his walking is
not like that of a Nord, he is wearing the helmet of
Imperial Royal Guard, a magical one at it, in his hands
are an ebony shield of huge might and a weapon called The
Sunder, small but extremely powerful hammer capable of
destroying almost anything.
He is an
outcast, a person condemned for multiple murders and
crimes against the Empire and its citizents. He escaped
to Solthseim a long time ago, to escape the claws of
bounty hunters, assassins, king's sheriffs... and to get
richer then before on barbarian riches and knowelage.
However he
is no longer the same as he was before... after spending
months in the cold, frozen forests of Solthseim, he has
changed, was no longer fully himself any more... he
didn't seem to care... he lives on pillaging and stealing
and seems to lack a need for food as he eats only when he
feels like it, how he sustains himself in these horrible
wastelands is beyond people who ceasesly track him... but
none of those who were believed to have got him ever came
back alive...
In short,
he is an evil man, his eyes are dark and expressionless,
almost as those of a fish, a shark. He is vicous, plainly
dark soul... his name is Giga.

This time however, he seems to be heading in some
particular way. It is a gloomy day and its hard to say
what time it is but we know it is about three o'clock in
the afternoon. Giga seems not to care about time, he's
running at full speed, almost without a need for rest,
towards south. He passes snowy fields and comes into a
green land, albeit a very cold one.
At this time Giga's destination becomes
obvious, he's heading to Fort Frostmoth, only imperial
outpost on Solthseim. Fort Frostmoth is a weakly defended
fort, its walls were breached not so long ago by some
unknown creatures. It has gaping halls in its walls,
making it an easy target for anyone skillful enough at
sneaking.
And Giga indeed is gifted for sneaking.
He was born under the sign of Shadow, this makes it
possible for him to become invisible for as long as a
single minute. He can use this ability once every day. As
he slowly approaches the fort, his frame becomes more and
more transculent, he becomes invisible to all but our
eyes and we follow after him carefuly.
He's moving slowly towards one of the
gaping holes in the fort walls. As he sneaks thru the
rubble Giga notices Imperial Soldiers all over the fort's
courtyard. They're ready and alert indeed... but not for
this kind of intruder. As the man we observe slowly makes
way into the courtyard nobody is aware of his presence.
Giga approaches a single wooden door, the entrance into
fort walls, and opens it so slowly that it almost looked
like wind opened the door.
Before a soldier can get there to close
the hard wooden door Giga slips inside and we follow him.
Quickly after we're in the door behind us closes with a
loud shut and sounds of locking can be heard. Guards are
making sure these doors don't open until they want them
to. Although he is practicaly imprisioned Giga doesn't
seem very put off by this, he simply goes next to a few
barrels and waits.
'And waits without a sound... finding
no better solution, we decide to wait with him.

After no less then four hours of almost motionless
waiting Giga seems to stir. We speechlessly behold what
is about to occur.
Before our terrified eyes we see a man
that is no longer himself, before us we see a man turning
into a werewolf. That is what seemed to be Giga's secret,
he got licantrophy on this cursed island and now he was
doing something terrible. He was unleashing himself on
people in Fort Frostmoth.
What comes is going to be as bloody as
anything you've ever seen. The monster walks up the
stairs, into upper parts of the wall, where there is a
path into the Imperial Cult Church. Giga knows his way
very well thru Fort Frostmoth. However, even thou his
mind is no longer purely his mind his insticts are still
there, he knows very well his way around... only now he
is a beast and not a man...
The wolfman slowly walks into the
Imperial Church, he sneaks without making a sound, slowly
approaches the door and sees a young priest, Jeleen, as
he talks to an acolyte of Imperial Cult - Marissa.
Old priest behind Jeleen is the first
to notice the horror looming at the door. He yells but
his voice is almost instantly disentegrated as terrible
fangs rip apart his neck. The old man falls on the ground
without making a sound, Jeleen and Marissa are doing the
only thing their fear allows them to do - flee.
However they make a fatal mistake, they
flee into the tower, making it extremely hard for them to
escape. The wolf instantly follows, old priest's meat is
still hanging from its jaws. Jeleen is the first to die
of the two, the bloodlusted werewolf coughts his leg and
drops him on the ground. Before he could scream horrible
claws rip apart his back and as he slams on the stairs,
drowning in his own pool of blood, fighting for a breath
that wouldn't come, he prays, he prays for venegance on
this foul beast...
Then a single guard finds himself in
the way of the beast, proud man hits the beast once, the
abomination that was Giga only a few minutes ago screams
and doubles its effort to kill the guard. The man tries
to fall back but furry claws find their way to the
exposed skin of his face. He screams and falls to the
ground, he was dead before he knew it...

As the guards final breaths leave his body the
beast goes after Marissa. Only a few months ago Marissa
was captured by Nord barbarians. She was saved by a
warrior whose name she would never knew. As she hears the
sound of dog pawns get louder and louder behind her she
prays. She prays so hard for deliverance, she prays for
her nameless warrior to appear and save her from this
beast as he once saved her from the savages.
She would never know that her nameless
warrior was the same wicked abomination behind her. The
very same one that would in the next few seconds catch
her and rip open her back, causing her to die in horrible
pain.
As that-which-is-Giga-only-during-days
left the dead body of Marissa it realized that everyone
who knew it was here was now dead. With silence of a fox
it moved thru the room on the second floor. It slowly
approached one of the two doors, the opened one. And
peered in.
A guard was there. Standing with sword
drawn, ready to fight. He heard the noise and was ready
to sell his life dearly. He raises his blade and attacks
the beast, shouting ancient imperial battlecries as he is
doing so. His first strike misses and hits the chair. He
desperately tries to draw his sword out of the tough wood
but fails.
The monster digs its teeth into his
neck and soon, he is surrounded in blackness...
forever...

As the body of the warrior falls on the ground
followed by clanging of metal Giga starts devouring his
flesh. In just a few minutes the werewolf is satiated and
feels no hunger any more. It leaves that floor, content
that it hasn't aroused the alarm. The escape would be
much more diffitcul if everyone knew about the animal
under their nose.
Werewolf comes out of the secondfloor
and watches from the walls the empty yard of Fort
Frostmoth.Without ever being spotted it turns and jumps
of the walls. The silent thud isn't heard by anyone
except Giga himself. The attack was successful, the
werewolf's insatiable apetite is satiated and now it can
peacefuly return to the cold woods of Solthsteim.
We follow the beast deep into the
woods. It goes to a hill and starts howling at the moon.
Here we will leave it to its thoughts. We return among
the clouds and leave Solthsteim, Giga and Fort Frostmoth.
We may only find out so much and
live...
