Lifetime Rating for Flint79: 6.3714 |   | I'm back from SC vacation and I've been playing a few games this weekend. I just finished a game 5 mins a ago and decided to write a BR about it. Welcome into another another chapter of "Flint's nights o' Starcraft"
Pre-Game antics:
I decided to play a good old one vs one on Island Hop. After waiting a while....in walks ~Cpt.Matt~. Here is the chat in the game room.
Me: hey
Him: Hi
Me: Ready?
*Long pause*
Him: Your record is 106/43/10
Me: I know
Him: I'm outta here
*He leaves*
I wait around a bit more..and he joins the game again.
Him: YOU SUCK!
*Now I'm a little bit steamed...so I decided to do a quick game start to try and get him into the game...he leaves as the countdown goes off. I message him a bit and see that he is in a 3 vs 1 compstomp game. I tell him how he is a sissy...and even offer to ally with him at the end of our game. Some people seem to think if you have a SC record over 100 wins...you must be some kinda SC turbo player. None of the this works and he won't play me...I go on with my night. I make another game on island hop after a 2 vs 2 did'nt work with my buddy Kluiii*
~Mad_Dog~ has entered the room
Him: You are dead buddy.
*I was about to type in....You gotta watch that aggressive attitude, pal.*
Him: ~Cpt.Matt~ is my brother. I'm gonna kick your ass for calling him a chicken!
*Ohhhh...the brother of Cpt.Matt. This is now a family issue I see*
Me: Ready?
Him: hes my bro
Me: Ready?
Him: We are brothers!!!!!!!!
Me: I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME!
Me: READY?
Him: go
*I'm really dying to tear this guy a new one at this point*
Map: Island Hop
Me: Zerg (Top Left)
Him: Terran (Mid Right)
I do a 10/9 hatch and make an OL right after. I then make a pool and get my gas running. I send my OL scouting to the East and see nothing across the top of the map. I make a hydra den and really power my economy. I make about 6 Hydras and double lair to get speed and Transport quicker. I also throw down 2 evolution chambers for upgrades. I am making Hydras and OL's as I see fit while getting OL speed, OL transport, Hydra Range, Hydra speed and 1/1 upgrades. Of course I could'nt get all these at the same time (Limited gas)...but I worked them in when I saw fit.
Him: I'm an expert at this map
Me: Way to go
I find his base and see a good number of SCV's minerals...2 flying e-bays(?) ,many supply depots, one idle rax and an idle factory. One marine finally chases off my OL. I now notice he has comstated me (about 5 mins later...Very late comstat). As soon as OL speed kicks in...I scout his base. Ahhhh...now I know his strat. He is trying to totally surround himself with turrets (I'm talkin no spaces in between...Thats a lot of turrets). I decide there is no way he has himself totally surrounded yet...and I still plan to hydra drop the "bro".
Sure enough...He has one side totally turreted...but the other side is not. I move my 8 OL full of 1/1 hydras (I could have dropped earlier and won...but I wanted to show some power) and drop them where they land nice and safe. His main attack force moves to intercept my forces!
My 32 1/1 Hydras vs........his one marine...oh wait...one firebat just popped outta that rax.
Me: One marine...impressive
His many many many turrets explode and I start to destroy everything without a single loss.
Me: Nice turrets
I see that he has one CC on the Island North of him..and it is making the first SCV. I make a Spire incase he lifts buildings and tries to hide them around the map. I decide that one OL with 4 Hydras from my main will be enough and send it over to his "Expansion", because my main attack force was still kickin the crap outta his main.
The second attack works without a single loss as well. Just as I expected...he lifts his CC and an e-bay that escaped from his main.
Him: Wanna ally?
Me: I got two words for ya. (The first one starts with an "F".)
My 6 muties engage the Flying CC and E-bay.
Game Over!
He record was a massive 4-0-0. Say hello to your first loss, Chief! Damn...that game felt sooooooo good :) .
