Lifetime Rating for Terran_Threat (TheRubberDucky): 4.7500 |   | In the heat of the so called 'imbalances' that people claim to see, I set out to see if my sucky terran skills could beat any decent protoss player. This is a funny game, and you won't really be laughing until near the end.

marlboro-man, Protoss, top position (amazing I knew this BEFORE the initial scouting scv haha)
I started off with my normal terran build order of depot on 7, rax when that depot finishes, another depot, refinery, then 2 more rax, then going hard marines&medics.
When I got up to his base I found 3 cannons warping in, and about 6 already finished, since I know that marines won't do well against cannons without tank support, I laid down a factory, and then an academy followed by 2 armourys that immediately started upgrading vehicle weapon and ship weapon, so I could use wraiths later if I needed. by the time my first 3 tanks had rolled out of my now 3 factorys, I had laid down 2 starports, and a 4th barrax, I sent my tanks up with a scv and 12marines 4 medics and 2 firebats.
I was using comsat to extend the range of mytanks, and was hitting on his nexus when 12 zealots came down from underneath me, I tried to keep my marines from dieing by moving them around my tanks, but to no avail, he killed my last marine with 1 zealot left, which began pounding on my scv which headed home, the zealot hot on it's tail.

I started on a second command center, and instead of sending it to MY exspansion, I sent it to his, and reinforced it with a bunch of turrets (I looked like a newbie hehe) and sent over about 20 marines and 4 medics to reinforce incase he landed. Out of my 2 starports I started vigourously pumping science vessels, so I could d-matrix my marines, just to see if it would work.
With 2 exspansions running, I sent out a science vessel to scout for any exspansions, and to irradiate any zealots/templar I saw. I found an exspansion that had probabalyy 20 dragoons defending. Thinking that marines do pretty good vs goons with medics support, so I laid down 3 more barraxs, bringing the total to 7 and also expanded to the mineral only exspansion to the upper right of my base, and also expanded to my gas only natural, so that I could produce more science vessels, and nuke if I wanted.
Nuclear Age.
I had 4 exspansions running, and added a nuke silo to EACH of them, and also started 2 more starports, and started massing wraiths along with 4 battlecrusiers I made before adding a different add-on to my sci-fac.
In his 1 DECENT attack of the game, he sent 24 dragoons, followed by 12 zealots, I had 3 ghosts lockdown the goons in front, then had marine finish off the ones behind, and tanks, the choke was plugged up, so I got away with the loss of 500 energy and a few minutes of micro management, by now I wondered why he did that so poorly, and sent a wraith up to scout out his main, and found 17 spread out in v-style CARRIERS. I also saw 12 stargates in the corner, I wondered how he could so easily do that off 2 bases. Seeing no observers, I sent my 24 wraiths, cloaked them, and killed them once again, with the loss of only 1 wraith that decided to wander too closely to the photon cannons.
With my ghosts I went over to his exspansion, and nuked 4 different places, right before they landed I empd and killed off 6 pylons, 5 cannons, and a pair of gateways. I nuked again, thistime his nexus, and he said this.

He left with only a fuck u bitch and I got my 4th win with terran in 2 days! yay!
Lessons Learned:
--Marines are cool, but I only made bout 40 the whole game. and 10 medics, but I made a buch of wraiths, tanks, vultures (to kill zealots but they didn't) and neraly 40 wraiths. Indeed a terran victory. |
