Well, I had my back against the wall here, because he was already up on me 1-0. Then, starting my 9 pool, I got scared seeing a TERRAN scv run into the base. Oh boy, M&M's, I thought. I also thought, "Oh boy! Lurkers!" So, I sent my 6 lings down to do some carnage, killing 2 or 3 scvs and a marine before he killed them off. I started another hatchery at home, and also started an extractor while pumping drones. I also had a sunken up as well. I got 4 drones on gas, 13-14 on mins. I start my lair and have a total of 4 lings a sunken for defense. I send a ling down to monitor his base, and my lair finishes. I know he has expanded already, which overall is why he won, not from resources.
Well, my lair and den finishes, and I have 2 hydras, 4 lings and a sunken when my ling at his base is killed I scrool down and look: death squad. 8 marines, 2 medics, and an SCV, headed to my base. My lurker aspect finishes as he reaches my base. He stim's and kills my lings, then runs to the back of my peon line? His scv starts a bunker. Oh shit. If that gets online, i'm done.
Blam! The SCV got close to my sunken. Thank god. Then, the good news. The hydras I have hidden are in the corner, and have finished morphing. I run them in, burrow and kill a few marines and he scans and kills 1 lurk, then I kill the other marines. I make a few lings to kill the still present 346/350 HP bunker. I then start the constant morphing of hydras, lurkers, and zerglings. I start speed with my overlord, and send 11 hydras and 3 lurks down the map. I run into a small force at my choke, 3-4 marines and an scv building a turret. I kill all of that, then head farther down the map. I see some blue on the map by my troops, and burrow my lurkers. I run 2 hydras in and lure the 5-6 marines and few medics back to lurks. RRRRRIP! The sweet sound of subterranien spines ripping through marines and medics.
Well, I try to play containment while my speed finishes. I still am pumping hydras, and I start on transport for exansion and a possible drop. I now see a horrible sight over my lurkers and hydras: Science vessel. In runs a small force of M&M's which are quickly dealt with. No matter how you slice it folks, lurkers beat infantry for cost. (Like when ghost went 3/3 M&M's, and I made 9 lurks and rpped him a new asshole. =).) Transport finishes, and I drop a drone at my island. It is instantly zapped by 2 wraiths. Uh-Oh. I need to end this. I am struck with a brilliant idea: Hydra Drop. I load up 4 overlords with hydras, 1 with lurkers, and move in over his base, and drop my dealy cargo. I rip some buildings with no resistance. Where are his troops? Suddenly, I hear "The hive cluster is under attack." ? All his M&M's, with vessel support, re attacking. They have already eliminated my remaining 2 lurks, 11 hydras. Suddenly I realize, we are playing a new game. It's called kill the enemies base A.S.A.P. I raze the rest of his main and run my drones down to his old base. I can't get through because of 1 marine. I start a hatchery out of the way, then run past the marine. Now, I just have to kill his island expansion.
WARING: LARGE RANT.
I load up my hydras and drop them at his island. I kill 2 turrets, and a depot with his scv's. He has 0 more SCV's. His E-bay and CC lift off. I kill the E-bay, then run after the command center. I get it to 1000/1500 then it FLOATS OUT OF RANGE! His remaining M&M force comes and kills my hydras and hatchery. He wins.
Who is the MORON that gave blizzard the idea to make terrans lift off! I lost the Tourney because Terran's can lift off. BTW, any Zerg players have tips on dealing with M&M??? |
