Game: Silent-Strike VS INS@NE!!!
Positions: Silent-Strike Commands the Zerg Brood at 8 and Ins@ne commands the Terran at 36. (I use the numeric keypad for positions)
Insane started out with a supply depot followed by a barracks. Silent went for a spawning pool followed up by a second hatchery. Insane made a marine then ordered his SCV to build a refinery. Silent pumped out more drones. Insane got an academy and blocked his ramp with 3 marines while Silent went for an expansion outside his main. Silent set a pup out on a mission to see where the terrans had set up base and see what they were up to. Insane ordered his SCV to find the sinister zerg infestation of the land. Silent's pup was shot to death by the marines guarding the entrance to the terran base. Insane's SCV had made it to the zerg base, but was quickly ripped to pieces by the vengeful pups.
Insane decided it was time to exterminate the zerg brood. He sent out a force consisting of 4 marines, 2 medics and 1 firebat. At the same time Silent figured he had to attack also. Silent sent 12 evil pups towards Insane's base. En route to Insane's base he encountered Insane's attack squad. Insane had used the attack command while Silent used the move command. Insane's marines got off a few shots before the pups noticed they were being ambushed and quickly reacted by ripping the marines in half with their powerful claws. To bad Insane's medics got mixed in the zerglings so they could not heal the marines and firebat. At this time Insane put up a factory. Silent throws up 2 evolution chambers and a hydra den. Silent knew he had an opportunity to raze the terran stronghold and ran his pups into the base to be met by 3 pissed off marines and a medic. They made quick work of them and headed for the peon line. Insane ordered his SCV's to use their fusion cutters in defense until firebats were trained. Once the firebats were out they sent the helldogs straight back into hell. Insane then researched siege mode and made a tank along with 2 more barracks. Silent researched Lurkers and expanded to the 47 position. Insane kept pumping out marines, firebats and medics while Silent pumped out Hydras.
Now that Insane had a good number of MM&F he was about to a tank push. He got to Silent’s base to find the expansion outside his ramp only to be defended by a sunken, 8 hydras and around 10 zerglings. Insane seiged his tank ready for battle while his marines stood fast. The siege tank launched a shell upon the treacherous sunken colony. The zerglings didn’t like this one bit and ran after the platoon of marines and firebats, but were quickly reduced to nothing more than a pool of blood and burning zergling parts. Silent morphed a lurker and waited for it to be done while making more hydras. Once his lurker was done he ran it into the squad of marines along with his hydras and stuck its spines into the marines while the hydras attacked the tank. The battle was over for now.
Silent took his opportunity to take an island expansion at position 5. Insane sent out another attack force to kill the zerg. This time he had more men and was ready to kick some zerg butt. He sent another tank and more MM&F. He got to the expansion he was trying to siege before. This time there was no hydras there nor a sunken, just an open hatchery with drones. Insane played it safe and bombed it from afar. Meanwhile Silent expanded to the 4 position and morphed 8 lurkers right outside the ramp out of siege tank range. Once they were done he separated them into two groups and ran them into Insane’s platoon. 2 lurkers bit the dust before they got to burrow. The marines quickly dispatched a signal to sweep the area, but it was too late the lurker’s razor sharp spines where already out of the ground and slicing n’ dicing the platoon of MM&F. When the smoke cleared all that remained was a pool of blood, gauss rifles, syringes, and flame-throwers. The siege tanks were able to open fire and managed to kill 2 more lurkers.
Things where not looking good for insane, so far all of his attacks failed against Silent. Silent then took the next island expansion at 5 while Insane tried to expand at 2. Silent had a zergling hiding in the crystals. The zergling sent for backup when the command center was done so he couldn’t cancel the construction. 8 zerglings now 1-1 came attacked the defenseless expansion. Insane ordered his command center to lift off and fly to the island at 5 little did he know someone was already inhabiting that expansion site. Although the expansion was defenseless, Insane had no transportation to higher ground and could not stop it. Insane built 2 wraiths while Silent made 3 hydras at his expansion to destroy the command center flying over. Insane dispatched his wraiths to attack the expansion but was to late the hydras had already hatched and launched their acid spines into the air at the flying wraiths. Insane was forced to retreat with maximum damage to his wraiths. Meanwhile Insane sent out a group of 6 marines and 1 medic to scout for enemy expansions and he found the expansion at 4 completely defenseless and 3 drones mining minerals. His enraged marines open fire on the expansion after killing 2 of the 3 drones the other drone tried to morph into a creep colony, but Insane moved his medic in it’s way so it could not morph. Silent quickly morphed 2 eggs of zerglings and sent some hydras from his base. The zerglings hatched but weren’t effective. Now the hydralisks where there and being ignorant to the Geneva Convention quickly killed the medic. The marines didn’t bother attacking the hydras they gave their life to destroy the zerg hatchery.
Silent had his ultralisk den up and upgraded the armor now having 3 armor for his 8 ultralisks. Insane had made science vessels with irradiate. Silent sent out his Ultralisks to destroy the Terran base. They got there and quickly and went under fire from marines on the cliff. Their armor was to strong for the marines to do substantial damage and got off their last shots while the ultras stuck their huge sharp tusks right through the marines. Insane irradiated the ultras, but could not kill them. The ultras ravaged his base and left nothing but a flying starport. Silent then put up a spire and scourged bombed Insane’s last building the war was over with the zerg being the victor.
This was my first batter report so if you have any constructive criticism as I like to call it. Feel free to share your opinions so my battle reports in the future can be more exciting to read.
