Lifetime Rating for NumbNut666: 5.7500 |  | Alright it was me (Terran) and a friend (Toss) on River Styx in vanilla SC. (yes i KNOW its an old map, at least its not BGH!) anyways, my friend wanted 10 min no rush, so i decided to give it to him. Since it was no attack for 10 min, i decided to forego early marines, power, take a quick expansion at the 3 min patch and gas exp, and swarm. i also knew my friend had a passionate love of carriers, so i decided to go BCs with wraith support. At about 8:00 into the game i noticed i had forgotten to build my comsat, so i got my academy and built the comsat. At about 10 min. I scanned him with comsat but was a little off target so i only saw a pylon of his main and about 10 zealots running out towards the fog of war. "Crap!" i thought, i had 3 tanks and 3 bunkers guarding my main, but only 1 single bunker at my exp.
I moved my 11 wraiths to my exp to protect it in case of attack, and 2 BC build times later (think it was about 2 min) he swarms me at my main with 78 1/1 speed upped zealots! (YES YOU HEARD ME RIGHT, I COUNTED!) I called all my wraiths back to my main and lifted off all my buildings, except the sci facility because i wanted yamato to finish, but when my wraiths got there the zealots had obliterated my choke defense and began tearing into supply depots. I lost everything at my main except the liftable buildings AND he still had around 25 zealots left which quickly headed toward my exp. My wraiths chased them but could only pop them so fast and he got to my exp, overpowered the bunker, and killed the cc there, but through some scv dancing i managed to save 5 of them and the starport at my exp. Now i was in deeeeep shit. I had 11 wraiths and 4 bcs, and 2000 min and 1000 gas, but my supply was at 88/20 and i had only 5 scvs left. I had them all make depots and decided i might have a chance if i attacked his main now. I brought my bcs now there and yamatoed 3 out of the 4 photons he had, then cloaked my wraiths and took out the other one. His 6 gateways (yes there were 6 of them, i think its insane too)
were all pumping dragoons, but i was safely cloaked and proceeded to kill all the probes, the nexus, the cycore, the citadel, forge, and several key pylons before my energy ran out and i had to retreat. Now that chick computer person said: "Your base is under attack." I saw about 18 goons thrashing my buildings at my old main that were still there. Only my factory managed to get away.
I thought he must have had an expansion to handle all those forces, so i scouted with my wraiths and sure enough, i found one. The scary part was there was an observatory under construction which would allow my wraiths to be seen! I quickly rushed my wraiths over and killed the observatory, but it was alive for a half-second, and an observer popped out about 3 seconds before i killed his robotics facility there. Then his goons arrived and i had to run again. Even though i was getting my economy going again and had another exp, repeated waves of goons in large numbers destroyed my 11 wraith/4 BC force, only because his observer had made my cloak useless. After my airforce died, he quickly annihilated all my expansions and that was the end of me.
I KNOW i couldve countered it by building 160 bats, but:
1. I didnt see it coming
2. I would have lost with my 160 bats if he had gotten 1 scout.
