Pre-game

I'm sure all of you have never heard of any of the players in this game, (or me, but that's besides the point), so let me give you some information of them before we start. Just to tell you before hand, this is a regular game of StarCraft, not Brood wars, and it's also on BGH. Also, I have been told the text I use for the pictures is a little hard to read, sorry, but I saved them as jpgs, so I couldn't edit the layers. I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out.

Side note: There are lots of pictures, so if your your on something slow, just sit tight and watch some TV as it loads. Thanks for you patients. 

lawrusik- He just started playing SC again for the first time in a long time, but he used to be a good player way back when. Favorite race is toss, but goes for random like everyone else in this game. His favorite tactic is the DT rush, but because KallBroadfist didn't have SC, we won't be able to seem him try it out.

KallBroadfist- There isn't much to say about him since I don't know him, but with a name like that, how can he be bad? Plus he is french! Mind you there is nothing wrong with french people, and if I thought so, I'd be living in the wrong place (Quebec). He is also good friends with Carrijen.

And it's off

KallBroadfist seemed a tad worried about a rush, but this didn't stop him from making 4 supply depots and expanding to his natural before building his first barracks.

Once he had finished his barracks, he started on two factories. Just incase you are wondering, up to now he is the only one who hasn't scouted, and he never actually did scout, even though I did see a com-stat or two.

As you can see on the mini map, I got a little board and landed my CC in the middle of the map. I built one SVC with the 50 minerals I had left, wanting to see how many mineral I could harvest before the end of the game.

Now is when things started to get interesting. It all started with KallBroadfist saying which is french slang for 'pourquoi', which in turn, means' why'. When I asked him why he said that, he said Carrijan had asked him a question, but me and lawrusik didn't see it, meaning only one thing, she was AC with him. My first thought was they were going to 2v1 him, but it was just a thought, and didn't want to accuse people of cheating for such a minor thing.

During this little argument of ours, I noticed that KallBroadfist finally got his first two tanks out, and seiged them next to his bunkers. He slowly made more of them, along with some goliaths, and finally blew up two of his bunkers so he could get all his stuff out if he ever wanted to attack. Carrijan  just sat there, making a couple more hydras and a pair of lings, while making several hatcheries. lawrusik, taking advantage of the fact that Carrijan couldn't get out of her base, and that KallBroadfist just sat in his base  making as many tanks as he could, expanded to the 7 o'clock position, and made a robotics facility, started making some dropships. Once one dropship was done, he sent it to Carrijan's base with 4 zealots, then, knowing he could easily drop, did it again with 4 reavers.

KallBroadfist finally does something, sending all his men directly to lawrusik's base, pretty much taking him out of the game. I never got a really good shot of the attack, but he had atleast 4 tanks, a couple of goliaths, and a handful of marines, which easily took out lawrusik's one measly cannon. Now is when lawrusik started really bitching about them cheating, wondering why he didn't attack Carrijan, considering she was right next to him (mind you he would have to go through all those cannons first).

When he is complaining, KallBroadfist tells him he will drop Carrijan to make him happy. Because of this, lawrusik loads his two reavers up, not wanting them to die, and being his only two offensive units still alive. This gave Carrijan the chance to make about 12 hyrdras and drop them at lawrusik's expansion before KallBroadfist goes for his drop on her. Luckly for lawrusik, he has been gathering quite a lot of money from his expansion with nothing to spend it on, so has thrown up a good number of cannons, which kill off the hydras with ease.

Then KallBroadfist goes for his move, but for some "unexplainable" reason, his dropships manage to fly right over Carrijan's spore colonies and hydras without getting hit once, and right to lawrusik's base, where he drops two seige tanks and a bunch of marines. With the help of his probes and some zealots out his newly warped gateway, he manages to prevent any major damage from being done. 

Now, after watching KallBroadfist's dropship fly over Carrijan's base, I kinda knew they were allied, I guess thats what you get when you play a ffa on melee, with two people that are good friends. Well, if you remember awhile back I started mining for fun? Well I lifted off and went to the 3 o'clock position and made two bunkers and as many marines as I could to help lawrusik out. Normally I wouldn't do this, but I knew this wouldn't turn the tide , just piss KallBroadfist and Carrijan off a little.

I was hoping they wouldn't see my marines as I marched them across the map to lawrusik's base, but sadly they did, and then started accusing me of helping lawrusik, and since there was no one else in the game, it was hard to shift the blame to someone else, but I tried my best.

Well, I made my marines useful by first gathering a bunch in lawrusik's base to help him from the constant attacks of hydras, then I sent all the ones I made and charged carrijan, knowing it wouldn't kill her, but curious on how much damage I could do with a bunch of 0-0 marines. You can see the my attack below, and probably guess the results, as everyone knows sunkens > marines.

Well, with my attack done, and not even killing a sunken, it seemed over, and well, it was over, but lawrusik really wasn't happy with what had gone on, and expressed his opinion.

I don't know if these little comments made KallBroadfist mad or something, but he decided, that before some one leaves the game, he had to humiliate lawrusik even more by nuking lawrusik's outpost at Carrijan's choke.

And with that, the game was over. Carrijan allied with the two of us after the game, and after some bitching, so did KallBroadfist.

Postgame report

What did we learn this game? well, don't trust anyone, and, espesially in a FFA where two of them are close friends, and make sure you have some defense at home. lawrusik would have won if it was a 1v1, but with nothing in his base to protect him, he left the door wide opened to be attacked. Make of this game what you well, I just hope you enjoyed the BR, being the first one I ever post here, and first one I write in about a year. (I did post one here a long long time ago, its a WarII report, which got 4, search for JediMan84 to find it. Sad I tell you, sad).
