Introduction
Its been a pretty bad day for me, can't go online, rain, no car, basically your average Sunday. So, I was going through my replay folders and found an old gameby SmaQ and MeThOd-lisk I thought was pretty good, so here I am writing my first replay,God Forbid. So Here goes....The Sky was dark as if it knew what was to become. MeThoD-LiSk Spawns on the 3 o'clock of Lost Temple, bearing the Teal Zerg war colors. At The Six O'clock, Smaq's Albino Probes finish warping in the Intimidating Nexus. The game starts and both players clone their peons pretty efficently. MeThoD starts a standard build of expanding with a new Hatch at 10/17, and a spawn pool at 14/17. At the same time, Smaq starts a pylon at 9/9, and two Gateways at 10/17 and 11/17. It wasn't long before they both found each other though. Method was the first to act, and moved his scouting drone to Smaq's Geyser and make an extractor, but meanwhile, Smaq's probe started a Pylon and a Shield battery at the Zerg's choke.
Before ya know it, 3 zealots were pounding away at MeThoD's Sunkens and hatcheries using the Shield Battery to heal sheilds from the sunkens blows. MeThoD's Spawning pool finally finshed about then, and soon All the larvae around started to morph to Zerglings. Before the first Sunken fell, 3 zerglings were already attacking. But SmaQ wouldn't give up without a fight and killed at least 7 lings and a suken before going down. MeThoD refused to let this go unpunished, and Gathering a Control group of lings, he dashed them to the 6 O'clock, and discovered an nexus warping in, and met face to face with 5 of Smaq's Zealots. Using decent micromanagement, MeThoD managed to Damage the nexus and assault the Main's Mineral Line before the 5 Zealots could catch up to them.
Midgame
SmaQ never knew what was going to hit him. Method quicky ordered more larvae to be made, and in seconds another control group of Lings were ready to fight. SmaQ wasn't slacking either, and made a Forge, an assilimator, and more zealots before Method's Lings came. They didn't stand much of a chance, and only 2 made it out alive. But that wasn't the end of it. MeThoD started a hatchery at the 6' Mineral with 12 Lings to protect it, and starts his Hydra Den. SmaQ meanwhile starts his core (about time) and sent a stray probe to scout, and discovered the incoming hatchery. Ten Zealots went to stop it but were overpowered. It wasn't much of a contest, and SmaQ retreated. Upon returning to the scene, SmaQ ran into Sunkens taht weren't there before, and a very angry group of Hydras. The battle raged, but once more SmaQ had to retreat due to the insane micro of Method. The containment is working, and there is no way for either SmaQ to break through to expand, or to attack Method's base. More Zealots and dragoons ran to the containment sight, but nothing happened to move the behemoth force. Suddently, the sounds of chirping filled the air, and Over the hill came the Reavers. Apparently being as isolated as he was, he had no choice and made some shuttles and stuff. Anyways, Ling blood squited everywhere, and Puffs of smoke hung in the air, but a lone lurker stopped the front. It didn't last too long, and soon enough the little shimmer in the sky was seen. The ground started to bleed as the savior Lurker was destroyed. SmaQ went wild, and the Containment was destroyed.MeThoD expanded to the 12 main and Natural and The grinding of gears could be heard as the Dragoons finally got their sorry ass outta nuetral and started to depart to the Zerg plateau. They tore through the choke and Once again Psi Storms crackled in the air, But the only thing there were drones, which is odd for a game or player of this caliber. I scanned the screen looking around, There had to be something. Then, as if God was speaking, "Your Units have come in contact with the enemy," and a small blob started to grow in SmaQ's base. Method actually took 18 upgraded hydras, and dropped them in the middle of the defenseless base!
SmaQ nor Method had any chance but to try to clear out each other's base. It was pretty amazing, as explosions and blood filled the air. MeThoD sent the last of the Containment Hydras to his base, but they were blasted to nothingness on the choke by a chirpy Reaver. The Toss finished off a choke hatchery and a few sunkens. But they were destroyed, eventually, and the sole survivors were some LTs, and a shuttle full of reavers that flew off into the sky. The battle was a big drain on the economy around here. The Protoss lost almost every single attack unit they had, and had only an expansion left, and maybe 45 probes. MeThoD Had about 15 drones, and 4 Hydras floating around in a sack of fat somewhere. The main plan now, is to restore their power, and beat the living crap outa each other. Under the watchful eye of SmaQ's Observers, MeThoD carefully started to build drones at his base, and expand again to his unused 12 Nat. SmaQy meanwhile took several probes from his expansion, and rushes over to the 9 Mineral and Naturals. Late Game All is quiet, but, weren't there reavers that escaped awhile back? As I was thinking about this, a small white dot caught my eye in the mini-map above the 12 Nat. MeThoD managed to send his drones over there, but he was discovered, and the shuttle dropped the MIA Reavers behind the mineral line and start pummeling the workers. The Minerals provided awesome protection and the Scarabs actually went around the Minerals and hit the hatchery, destroying it before being chased away, right to the 12 Main Zerg expansion. MeThoD 's not having the best of luck today, and The Reavers decide to make a short Detour before they go home. The Hatchery went down with little resistance, and the reavers were once again on their way. MeThoD finally steered his Hydra Ovie to the Cliff overlooking the 9 Mineral and causes havoc and paranoia between the Probes. Probe Nathan slowly raises the Group to a good ol' gospel thanking their god for safety and revelation to calm them when several probes blew up. Their creaters must be mad as hell, because just then several Hydras came running over spitting acid in the air. Probe Nathan quickly decides he's needed, and creates 3 gates. Zealots came out to counter them, but Upgraded hydras Vs. Two Dragoons is kinda one sided. Swiftly the Hydras eat spit through the gateways and nexus and make haste to SmaQ's Natural, but before anything can happen there, SmaQ withdraws from the game, thus leaving the Zerg as the Champions of the Lost Temple. Things to Note:This Is My First Battlereport, and also my first HTML Thingy. I wanna thank CattleBruiser, Mark4,YourRoleModel,And CaughtNaked for their excellent guides on HTML and Other subjects. I do not have Photoshop, and the best I got is Paint, so cut me some slack, not to mention Geocites won't upload my crap. I hope ya liked it anyways.
