Hey guys. I needed to find a short game fast to write another BR. I was wondering if I should take the time to get a game on B.net or do something faster. So I decided to challenge one of my friends to a 1v1 LT. "Now who should I pick?", I thougt to myself. Just then, my brother (the-nut) popped into my room and asked "Hey bro, wanna do a 1v1?". "Uhh (still dumbfounded at the coincidence), fine." And so it began A Brotherly Brawl...2.

THE MATCHUP:

0:00-4:59

The game begins. LurkerBurger7 randoms Zerg and The-Nut randoms Terran. A classic Terran vs Zerg. LurkerBurger7 gets the 12 o'clock base and The-Nut gets the 6 o'clock base. So it was a top vs bottom. The mining process starts for the brothers. LurkerBurger7 scouts with his Overlord to the 3 o'clock base and begins to morph an Extractor. The-Nut builds a Supply Depot to increase his population. This would help him acquire resources faster because he could get SCV's more hastely. LurkerBurger7 starts to morph another Hatchery to produce Larva faster to help his overall base and unit production. The-Nut builds another Supply Depot and then a Barracks. He is placing these Supply Depots at the ramp of his base to make a wall, and after his Barracks is done, he makes another Supply Depot. LurkerBurger7 halts his Drone production in order to build another Overlord, while The-Nut is steadily building more SCV's with all of those Supply Depots. This tactic gave him an early advantage. LurkerBurger7's Overlord finally got to the 3 o'clock destination and he ordered it to the 6 o'clock base (still not having any idea where The-Nut was positioned). With his good resources, The-Nut builds another Barracks and a Supply Depot. He starts training Marines and begins building a Bunker near his almost completed Supply Depot wall to house them. LurkerBurger7 starts to morph a Spawning Pool. The-Nut sends an SCV out of his base just as his wall had finished. He then ordered it to scout the 3 o'clock position (also still not having any idea where LurkerBurger7's domain was). He then builds another Bunker and fills it with Marines. LurkerBurger7 begins to morph 2 Evolution Chambers. In the middle of the morphing process, he builds 2 Creep Colonies which he eventually changes into Sunken Colonies. His Overlord had reached almost reached its destination when The-Nut's Marines (from inside their Bunkers) started to blast away at the Overlord's carapace. He quickly responded and guided his Overlord away from the Bunkers and into the bottom corner minibase on the right and left it there to monitor the area for any attempted expansion.

The-Nut sends the SCV that was ordered to the 3 o'clock base to the 12 o'clock base ( LurkerBurger7's base). It is easily destroyed by the 2 Sunkens that he had morphed earlier and continues on with his base. So, LurkerBurger7 begins morphing a Hydralisk Den and a Lair. The-Nut constucts a Refinery and begins harvesting gas, as is LurkerBurger7 .

5:00-9:59

The constuction of the bases continues. The-Nut begins to build an Engineering Bay and 2 more Supply Depots. He then begins an Academy and eventually a Comsat Station while LurkerBurger7 is in the process of forming a Hydralisk army. After The-Nut had finished his Academy, he builds 2 Factories and another Supply Depot and a Missle Turret near his wall. He also begins another Supply Depot. LurkerBurger7 morphs a Drone into a Spire. The-Nut starts to construct 2 more Missle Turrets, this time near the top of his base. He again builds 2 more Supply Depots. Now seeing that he has a ample amount of supplies, he begins to manufacture 2 Seige Tanks and upgraded the Seige Ability. LurkerBurger7 expands to his natural expansion. The-Nut builds yet another Supply Depot. After that, he begins to construct a third Factory. Seeing the oppertunity, The-Nut takes his completed Seige Tanks and seiges them near the center of his base. This tactic was used simply because he knows his brother's history of dropping. He also knows that if LurkerBurger7 is Zerg, he likes to go Hydralisks. So if you combine the two, you get a Hydralisk Drop (I might have assisted the thinking process of The-Nut in this one..lol). He thought Seige Tanks would "own" the Hydralisks. Anyway, The-Nut continues advancing, getting a Starport next. He then scans LurkerBurger7's main base, just to check if his Hydralisk prediction was correct. And it was. LurkerBurger7 had already hatched 18 Hydralisks in a mere 7 minutes. It wasn't enought to conquer those seige tanks but it was a good insperation. In his scanning effort, The-Nut had also seen LurkerBurger7's Spire and got slightly worried. He began to construct Missle Turrets that he positioned on the perimeter of his entire main base. LurkerBurger7 ordered some of his Overlords to patrol the outskirts and core of his base, so as for a detection device for any cloaked Wraiths that might sneak into the perimeter of the base. In addition to his Hydralisk army (which was still growing), LurkerBurger7 spawns a good number of Zerglings to assist his Hydralisks in combat. Still having a fear factor of a Hydralisk drop, The-Nut manufactures more Seige Tanks to seige around his Command Center. And just for some extra security, LurkerBurger7 burrows two Lurkers in the vacinity of his base near the ramp.

10:00-14:59

As time was advancing, so were the players. LurkerBurger7 was evolving his Zerg cluster by morphing a Hive. The-Nut loads an SCV into a Dropship and unloads it at his natural expansion. He then starts a Command Center. To have a better sense of surveillence, LurkerBurger7 orders a band of his Zerglings to go to several vacant bases throughout the map. When they reach their desired destination, LurkerBurger7 orders them to burrow. He can now observe some of The-Nut's attempted expansions and possibly even destroy it if the SCV comes without escort.

The-Nut sends a Dropship to the bottom right corner expansion. He immediately spots LurkerBurger7's Overlord that he had left there after being shot at. In response, The-Nut commands his Dropship back to his base. He then loads a single Marine into the transport. He returns to the corner expansion and unloads the Marine. It begins firing rounds into the Overlord's bulky abdomen. The Overlord retreats, but not entirely. LurkerBurger7 orders it to hover just out of range of the Marine to keep an eye on the minibase. As an attempt to advance his army, The-Nut constructs 4 Starports but doesn't make use of them just yet. Instead, he scans LurkerBurger7's base again for a quick check-up. He doesn't find anything of a real different sort and drops an SCV at the corner base and starts his 2nd expansion. In the mean time, LurkerBurger7 creates a minefield of burrowed Zerglings near his natural expansion and The-Nut builds an additional Starport.

15:00-19:59

As the game further progresses, matters get a bit more fiesty. First off, LurkerBurger7 expands to the 3 o'clock base. As soon as the Drone begins to morph the new Hatchery, The-Nut (out of pure luck) scans the 3 o'clock position. He uncovers LurkerBurger7's newest expansion. Instinctively, LurkerBurger7 sends a defense party of Hydralisks, Zerglings, and Mutalisks to the new expansion.

Wondering if his brother had other expansions, The-Nut scans the 9 o'clock position. He doesn't find anything except for a single burrowed Zergling. Still concerned about defense, LurkerBurger7 mutates some of his Hydralisks that were guarding the 3 o'clock expansion into Lurkers in order to take out some squads of infantry more hastely than before. Feeling the urge for power and seeing he is quite capable of it, The-Nut begins to produce 2 Battle Cruisers at his Starports. He also attempts to expand to the 9 o'clock base. Here's the procedure: The-Nut loads 1 Marine and 5 SCVs into one of his Dropships. He travels to the 9 o'clock base and begins to unload his troops. Before LurkerBurger7 could unburrow his Zergling that was stationed there, The-Nut scanned the area, uncovering the Zergling. The Marine started to fire and the SCVs drilled. The Zergling was easily conquered. But, there was a good, even better, if you want to say so, side for LurkerBurger7 . Now knowing that his enemy had just started a base, he thought it most likely didn't have any substantial defense. In response, he sent 7 more Zerglings to the 9 o'clock base. Just as he thought, The-Nut had no extra defense. He still only had those 5 SCVs and that 1 Marine. So, the 7 Zerglings overran the base, leaving another chance for a base of his own. With nothing better to do, LurkerBurger7 guided his 7 Zerglings to a corner of the 9 o'clock base, just to intercept any additional attempted expansions and to avoid being detected by a scanner sweep.

The-Nut was now quite disgruntled. He knew that losing a minibase like that could cost him the game. As an act of avengance, he created 4 more Battle Cruisers, which makes a total of 6. Seeming as though The-Nut was a very active player, LurkerBurger7 commands a portion of this Overlords to hover over the outskirts of his main base. You know, just to get a "heads-up" if enemy troops were approaching. By now, his 3 o'clock expansion was well done and needed some additional protection. In confrontation with this problem, LurkerBurger7 decided to mutate some of his Mutalisks into Guradians.

20:00-22:40 (end)

As the minutes are winding down, the action is more fierce than ever. LurkerBurger7 decides that he has to hurt The-Nut in one other way to a better seal over victory. He looked over the map and noticed his lone Overlord floating close to the bottom right corner base. He got an idea. That was what would hurt The-Nut . If he lost another minibase. So, to observe the situation, LurkerBurger7 controlled his Overlord closer and closer to the enemy base. Fortuantely for him, The-Nut hadn't built up any defense on this minibase either, except that single Marine he used to fend off the Overlord in the first place. "Pfff, no problem.", LurkerBurger7 thought to himself and prepared a small Hydralisk drop. As soon as the 4 Hydralisks were in the meaty hull of the Overlord, LurkerBurger7 moved into position. But just in case The-Nut was going to send in any type of greater resistance, LurkerBurger7 used a "distraction method" to lessen the damage to the Hydralisks. To accomplish this, he had his 2 Overlords side by side, just out of range of the enemy base. He then sent in the Overlord without the Hydralisks into the base, as for the Marine to shoot at it (in screenshot, the Overlord circled in red is the "distraction"). Then, as the Marine is focusing on the first Overlord, the second Overlord would come in and drop the Hydralisks. The plan worked out perfectly and the base was eventually destroyed.

Meanwhile, The-Nut was not yet discouraged, in fact, he was showing it right at the moment. While LurkerBurger7 was busy destroying his enemy's expansion, The-Nut had ordered his full army of Battle Cruisers (10) to attack LurkerBurger7's base head on. As the BCs began blasting away at the Overlords (on outskirts) and some of his Sunken Colonies, LurkerBurger7 became worried. But he thought up a quick plan. Although he did have a rather substantial Hydralisk army, he knew it wasn't enough to finish the job. So, he took a Mutalisk flock (of about 20) that he had built up earlier and moved them to a corner of his base (as so The-Nut wouldn't see them). He then mutated about 12 of them into Devourers. At this time, LurkerBurger7 was losing some critical parts of his base and had to do something. So he sent a squad of Hydralisks from his 3 o'clock expansion to counter the BCs for a while. It worked. The BCs were stalled enough so that the Devourers had hatched from their cacoons. But still needing some strategy, LurkerBurger7 sent in his Mutalisks first as for another type of "distraction". Then he sent in his Devourers and the rest of his Hydralisk army. The BCs were easily blowing away the Mutalisks and some of the Hydralisks, but the Devourers' Corrosive Acid attack was slowing down the BCs' attack speed, giving the Hydralisks a chance to do their business. One by one the BCs exploded until there was nothing left. The Zerg were victorious! But it was not over yet, or as we all thought...

The-Nut was now very discouraged. His resources were extremely low and his primary army was destroyed. He had also lost his 2 minibases. So guess what he did. He left the game.

THIS GAME'S WINNER IS LURKERBURGER7

THIS HAS BEEN A PRODUCTION
